Zane slowly started to lower his head and turned it gently to be looking at Maha. His sight was still gone from his eyes. He slowly nodded his head to her letting her know that he could still hear her. " I'm... Sorry... " Said Zane to her still clinging to what little life he had left to hold. His voice was now but a whisper and a terrible sounding voice. Zane slowly smiled to her then looked back up into the sky. In his mind he started to wish to himself. " I wish... I was more... that I was free... to see the sky... to live some more... I wish... I was still alive... to have my clan revived... to see the future... to live... " Zane continued to wish in his head... for the things he wanted... but would never get... He could feel it again... a feeling he had not too long ago... death was closing on him as he eyes started to fill with tears. and with the tears came only more pain to his body as he held his heart some more... hoping for salvation from the pain and death just this once in his life.

When the humungous Tengu let out it's last cry. Rakutsu had once again, Face planted the snow after sliding down the hill backwards, It wasn't fun at all. She was just lying there with a deadpanned look on her face, wondering if this is going to become a habit of hers. By the time she had decided to pick herself up again Keichii was already talking to the two men known as ''Hakubo and Warui'' Rakutsu at peaceShe dusted the snow off her shoulder's, Noticing something she hadn't felt in a long time. The red dawn's warm touch on her skin. She gazed up at the alluring sun in awe, Letting out only a few words. ''The sun. . .It's so. . .Beautiful.'' she whispered, gazing up at it with those hope-filled eyes. She noticed a few tears sneaking their way down her rosy cheeks. She raised her hand, wiping them away before anyone else caught it. These weren't tears of sorrow. . .but tears of joy. She had been waiting for a long time. . to once again see the sun rise, With the hope of a new day. . .The red dawn. 'I guess Akai was right. . .I am a cry baby.' She thought with a contented smile. For a moment she glanced away from the eye catching sun and checked making sure her Brother didn't catch it either. She sniveled a bit and gazed back up at the sun. Even though she had wiped the tears away, they still seemed to fall ever so relentlessly. It was then she wondered if Akai. . . was looking at the same sky she was at this moment. If she too felt that same heart warming sensation the view seemed to give Rakutsu. But of course. . .it was now a bright future for snow once more. It was all thanks to everybody who came and fought. Because of them. . .The people of Snow can once again, Live on peacefully. Even if that's only a mere hope. It was a miracle that she could only imagine. ι'll pяoвαвlγ εnd up cяγιng

Maha didn't answer the man, but had smiled in response and closed her eyes as she put her hand in his. "You will," she said softly, "C-Can't you picture it? Death's... Death's not so bad. A man doesn't really... die after he's been killed. He still lives. And you will too, okay?" Her friend was dying; she promised herself she wouldn't cry like this again. And even though at times like this, she would run away or hide whenever death struck tragedy, she didn't this time. No. She wouldn't let him die alone. He deserved more than that. And he wasn't really going anywhere... He'd still be there, right? And so would they... In memory, she thought, that lived on in the heart. Maha Theme

Warui had... never been good at saying goodbye. Sitting in sezia Warui removed the bokken he had from his back. The crudely made wooden sword he'd made during his training sported the ornate hilt of his original katana. "Oi- We got peace now kid. You're a part of that- death aint' gonna stop a badass like you..." He promised and stuck the wooden sword into the permafrost. He was sure it had been the Heros Water. Death was the promise they all had sworn when they took the stuff. Without it the Dai Tengu probably wouldn't have gone down and without it there would still be a war. There was a long moment as Warui stood looking at the sword fracturing the ice in front of Zane. Warui was already almost 24. His natural life was probably only about 60, probably less the way he lived it... the math was murky to him but he got the idea that he didn't have to long before he shared Zane fate. About 36 years divided by 10? It wasn't good regardless.
The relative silence was finally broken after about a minuet, "Oi... Maha, I'm gettin' out'a here... this... isn't for me." He managed in a broken voice, with a deep, painful sadness resonating in his soul. Somewhere there might be tears but he wouldn't let them show. His spirit was like a wounded animal after all of this violence and pain. At his core he was just a gentle soul wrapped in barbwire. The solemnity in his voice told Maha he was serious as he untied his headband. His bangs settled a little bit and the purple cloth blew in the wind as he offered it to her. "You gotta' do this Maha- come into yer' own and clean up this mess we've worked ourselves into."

Shichiyou Kurayami Shichiyou looked at the crater, seeing that things really were done... She put her shuriken back on her back and stitched her arms back together, seeing how they were no longer going to fight. she turned her head and saw Warui, Maha, Hakubo, and zane... zane! Shichiyou ran over and kneeled down beside Zane. He was still alive...? Shichiyou was no medical ninja, but she was certain he would have been dead by now... but at least he was alive. She closed her eyes and opened them slowly and looked at him. "T-thanks for doing what I asked..." she said, her voice cracking slightly, though her eyer were empty, no emotion visable, and with a small smile on her face. She had told him to stay alive, and he did... but from the way he looked it wouldn't be for much longer.

Zane listened to them both Maha and Warui about what they had to say about death. He looked up at them as the pain continued to roll off him. All Zane could do was smile slightly in the pain he was in as the continuing darkness came for him. Zane could feel it... taste it, see it... Death had come for him but he was not afraid... not anymore... He was a child all his life rather then the young adult that he was. The war did destroy him... The last of a noble clan... but now was the time... His time had arrived for him. Zane's hand slowly moved into his jacket and pulled out his katana and left it on his chest his hand still holding it. " thank... you... Maha... and you... sensai... and you... Chi... my friend..." Spoke Zane quietly and softly as he slowly closed his eyes. As his eyes closed memories returned to him to show him the good times he had. He was young... kind... and everything that they thought about him at the end. Tears ran down Zane's eyes as the pain started up again. His heart was slowing down to a crawl as he looked back up into the sky slightly regaining his vision to see the sky... and his friends for the last time. Zane slowly looked around then at the beautful sky and closed his eyes for what was his last time. Zane's pain and heart beat slowed to a silent and peaceful end... The Memory Will Never Die

Maha sat still and silent for a while as she stared down at Zane's body, then smiled a gentle smile and kissed Zane's forehead. He wasn't dead... No... He was still alive. In all of them. And she wouldn't let that die. Never. "Yeah... I know..." she said softly, sniffing as she hugged her knees to her chest. She then got up to her feet and took the headband from his hands, "I got this," she said, brushing her bang behind her ear. "I dunno... We better get that thing signed if it hasn't been destroyed. Assuming if Yukikage over here hasn't already signed the damn thing," she said pointing to Keichii. 2 messages- Samurai Champloo OST

Shichiyou Kurayami Shichiyou watched Kein and listened to him until the very moment his heart stopped. She didn't cry, she didn't sob... she didn't even show any sign of being upset, she just kept the same expressionless look. She closed her eyes for a moment, then opened them again and looked at Maha. "That would probably be a good idea..." she said simply.

Wondering what the crowd was for, Keichii casually wandered over and stood at the back. He regretted walking over almost immediately. Someone was dying. Keichii wasn't good with death in general, and it looked like this group knew the injured man. Keichii immediately felt awkward and intrusive. He tried to shuffle back a bit, but the crunching of the snow was now obnoxiously loud.
He heard someone mention his title and saw the girl closest to the dying shinobi motion towards him. He raised his hand hesitantly in acknowledgment. "Uhm... what'da I need ta do..?" he muttered cautiously.

"We want you to sign something if its not too much trouble." She took a wild guess; something told her he seemed like the leader-type. Call it instinct, but at least she got it right... Right? "You... are the kage, right?" she pouted, nodding as she placed a hand on her hip, her face cool and confident as it had ever been, "If not, you don't necessarily have to be. As long as you're a resident. "Yeah, I'm the Yukikage, 'least tha's what the Hokage's tellin' e'ryun," Keichii stated a bit more confidently, "Born'n'raised in Snow," he added.
The sudden shift in atmosphere threw him off, but he'd rather this than the impromtu funeral. This day had been stressful enough already.
"So what needs ta be signed?" Keichii continued. He stood up straighter in order to compensate his ragged, bloodied appearance. At least the blood wasn't his, but he did look kind of ridiculous with only one coat sleeve.

Shichiyou Kurayami Shichiyou sighed and looked around. Where was that scroll. "Warui, where'd you put the scroll?" she asked him.

"A scroll that contains each kage's signature to a world alliance. For a more peaceful, more constructive future. It's... What Oji-san wanted." She needed to be tough to be a leader; a cold, ice b***h and she knew damn well she had to help him clean this mess up. But then, that's what Warui was for~. "I'm not sure... What's supposed to happen once you sign it... But I made a promise, and I intend to keep it. WARUI!" she barked, turning her head sharply toward the blue haired thug, "Do you have it or don't you?" Warui was packing his old beat up Saxophone into his throw-sack. Maybe he'd go travel... that sounded nice. "Oi... over there I think Stitches..." He said in the general direction of the scroll answering both Maha's and the Fall ninja's questions at once. It was sitting half in/half out of the ice where it had crashed through. It wasn't damaged, the weight had just cracked in the ice a bit. Whatever he did- it was going to be a peaceful trip. No one would bug him, no one would hurt him, and he wouldn't have to hurt another soul. No more like the Mist ninja during the war. No more old men in the zero tails, no more pain. Just a whole lot of time. "Well... I'm outta here... good luck to you ninja and all." He mused standing up, shifting his throw sack uncomfortably. With a casual wave, he left the life of a ninja behind him and walked off towards the Sunset- sounded like a good direction to start...

"... Hm," Maha breathed as the walked over to the scroll. Hell no was she picking that up. That thing was heavy. So she kicked it open instead. "I think it's... right here," she said, getting to her knees as she pointed to the line Keichii was supposed to sign. After this, she was going home; she was going straight to the hospital, pick up her mom, and find a place somewhere where they'd be happy... Just her and mom. Maha Theme
