That is a heavy emotion to deal with, Aru. I hope your memories of them are happy ones and a celebration of their lives. Christmas can be a loaded gun as far as most holidays go.
Hey, there is a lack of awkwardness of being taller than your boyfriend when you are that short. And there is always something implacably cute about short girls. Unless they're the short and vicious type. But those girls are cute too. Please don't hurt me.

From what I have observed, the more vertically challenged a person is, the more likely that all the normal hate and violence a taller person has been strongly condensed.
Thus, vicious short people.

No. Correction:
Less people mess with tall people, as they generally do not look easy targets. Height is one of the first things you notice, and an easy point to tease or bully someone on.
So, tall people are a bit wimpy generally, whilst short people fend for themselves.

They have more to compensate for, yes. Being short and a girl are two big points working against a person in society, because they are easy visual cues to make a person a target or not. So they often have to work twice as hard.
It only sounds more humorous to word it as I have. Granted, that I have never been a bully nor a wimp.

Yeah.
I was giving one of my chick friend's a hug today, and her like 7 year old sister was near. She sister slapped my arm and said. "NO! My leen-leen." I thought it was cute. So cute I wasn't angry she hit me.
((Has a really big weak spot for anything cute)))

I spend my summer helping with them at a art camp for kids.
Little kids are adorable.
I love the ones most people hate.
Those sassy, hyper, crazy ones.
And they seem to like me too.

Oh true ... Christmas is always more fun when you have small children around. But not when you hear them screaming in the toy aisles and throwing a fit.
I am a rather patient and mellow type of guy, but children can get on my nerves quickly. ... Although I admit I do like buying toys for them.
