"The camp is still farther north, just keep going until you see smoke." He ran his had through his hair, and stuck his helmet back on, "and no, pan is not very forgiving when someone kills one of his children."

"Great! We have an angry god against us. How better can this day get?" said Delilah sarcastically as she leant on Sage for balance. Almost immediately, it started to rain. "Great. Just Great. I've Jinxed us." she muttered under her breath. "Hey Kidemonas!" she called out. "Does this Pan God have control of rain?"

Sage rolled her eyes in amusement as she gave Delilah a pointed look that said if she was going to jinx them then stay quiet. " Delilah remember where we come from. Things can always always get worse." She told her friend very very quietly as she didn't want to be drawn into a conversation by this Kidemonas even if he felt familiar. Sage only spoke to remind Delilah that they didn't like getting jinxed.

Today was not her day, Delilah decided. Rain plastering her hair to her head, Delilah thought she spotted what appeared to be several small huts in the distance. After they had travelled closer, the several small huts had turned into many tents and the odd hut here and there.
She spotted a man in light armour, the crest plastered down the side of his helmet as he ran up to them. Doubtless, Delilah assumed that he, the soldier running up to them, probably thought that the soldier, what was his name?.... Kidemonas had probably gone to some village, nabbed a few local women and was bringing them back to the army. Delilah silently promised to punch the first guy that tried to flirt with her.

"Well, that's not good." Flicker sighed, then pulled out umbrellas and handed them out to everyone. "I know they're not from this century, but I think we can run the risk, since there are not many people on the road. We'll just put them away when we get near our destination, or it stops raining, whichever comes first. On the issue of Pan though, I'm sure there must be some way to appease him..." Flicker pulled out a book and began to read as they walked. "I'll just see what I can dig up on him, ok? Just warn me if I'm about to run into a tree, and we're all good."

Sage rolled her eyes and not letting go of Delilah reached out and grabbed Flicker's arm as well so she could keep her friend from running into things. She eyed the soldier running towards them with a frown. Sage wasn't a trusting person and quite frankly she knew that most men didn't think girls could do anything. Many of the men in their time had changed their minds after the invasion and seeing that most of the experiments had been performed on girls.

"Hey, this Pan guy had alot of sanctuaries...like he's said to have loved this poet named Pindar, "and to have sung and danced his lyric songs, in return for which Pindar erected to him a sanctuary in front of his house." Neat, huh?" Flicker continued to flick through the book. "The ones I'm seeing mentioned most often though are the ones in Arcadia. You think maybe we should leave this guy a sacrifice or something? The ones this guy seems to get most is cows, rams, lambs, milk, and honey." She continued to leaf through the book, oblivious to the fact that Sage had to pull her every so often out of the path of trees, rocks, and other such things of the like.

Sage shook her head in amusement. When she had met her friends she had certainly not expected them to have such interesting quirks. Like Flicker sticking her nose in a book and not paying attention to where she was walking. Sage was still amazed Flicker hadn't killed herself doing that before she and the others came along to make sure she didn't run into anything.

Delilah's first thought was about the goat,
"Hey Flicker? You remember when you were telling the story of Cu Chulainn and how he wasn't allowed to be given dog meat?" Delilah carried on without waiting for an answer from Flicker. "Does Pan have a similar aversion to Goat?"

"I suggest you put any foreign objects away, and keep them out of site while we are here." He advised, "The army is not very comfortable with foreigners at the moment."

The man had finally caught up to them, and bowed respectfully to the warrior. "Greetings, General Kidemonas. Welcome back to the camp..."

"Thank you, i found these women in the woods, escort them to my hut while i go greet the King." He handed the soldier his spear and his shield.

"Yes General, may Are's guide your arm." as he moved off, the soldier bowed to the women, "if you will follow me please."

Flicker quickly pulled the umbrellas into hiding before anyone from the army could see it. "It's possible," Flicker whispered as they turned to follow the soldier. "I'll look into it, okay?" She turned to the soldier that had led them here, and before they were escorted away, she asked him "Hey, can you tell us your name? I don't think calling you stranger would be fitting, since you kind of saved us back there."

Sage made a face when she heard where they were to be escorted to. Still keeping her grip on Delilah so she didn't fall and Flicker so she didn't walk into anything she followed the man towards the hut. After all if the idiot tried anything she could easily use a mirage on him not to mention what Flicker and Delilah got like when someone made them furious.

Jasmine smiled, trying to steer Flicker away from any objects in her path at first, but when all 'foreign' objects were put away, she became suspicious. Perhaps because they were in a camp that had an army. Still, Jasmine was fairly sure they could take one soldier. "So, at least there's people who probably have directions here."

Sage shot Jasmine a grateful smile for the help in keeping Flicker from running into things.

Men. Always acting like fawning dogs whenever the women went.
Shall I help you carry oh so heavy book of yours Precious?
Shall I chase away that goat that's following you Darling?
Shall I...?
Why don't you just jump into a bear-pit?

Delilah wanted to hit the men. It might attract the wrong attention, but at least it would relieve the tension she felt. Now she knew how those famous Suffragettes of the 19th century felt when the men were trying to get them to know their places.
Delilah had been forcibly taken to see the army doctor, a man that resembled a slightly shaved gorilla. Her leg wound was harshly sewn up and after many slightly embarassing questions were asked about the injury. Having to give a false account of how she was injured, Delilah was then escorted back to the group of women.
"Male Chauvinistic Pigs! You should've seen how those men were looking at me earlier." Was the first thing Delilah said to the group. "All ogling at me. Yeuch!"
