Jess laughed hysterically, and returned the sound effect, still laughing as she said goodbye. Though even after hanging up, she just sat, holding the phone to her ear, slowly bringing it down to her heart, smiling distantly before finally snapping out of her day dream.
She just adored how Alex gave her that silly, innocent flitter in her stomach, while at the same time made her feel strong and able to tackle anything. It was a strange wonderful feeling she wanted to grasp onto as long as she could.
With all this positivity in her mind and heart, Jess went to get settled and cleaned up, knowing she'd have to hurry so she could take over so Kitty could go on her date soon.
Meanwhile, Nathan was just heading towards Kitty's shop, dressed in a burgundy v-neck sweater and a pair of faded jeans. He pushed his hair back, hesitating before entering the store, being very nonchalant as he made his way around the store, looking for kitty.

Kitty perked up as soon as she heard the bell jingle, and scurried out of her little back room as quickly and quietly as her namesake. She took her place behind the counter, and in the sweetest voice asked, "Excuse me, sir, but do you need help finding anything?"
In her right hand lay a pair of gloves, and her chin rested on her left. He looked dashing, alright. That seemed to be her favorite word for him. That or charming. They both fit, so what difference did it make?

Nathan smiled, rubbing the back of his neck as he approached her. "Ah yes actually..." He glanced at the gloves and smirked. "I'm looking for an absolutely beautiful young woman who is supposed to meet me here to get some coffee..." He gave her a wink, leaning on the counter, tilting his head up at her.

"Really?" she said coyly. "Why, I've no idea where she could be, but maybe you should forget her and come with me." Kitty gave her own little wink and brushed his nose with the tips of his gloves. He was always so witty, so playful, and could be kind and gentle in just a moment's notice.

He smirked still, leaning in jsut a tad more. "Hm...sounds tempting...though I'll need just a bit more convincing." He smiled more genuinely, his eyes meeting her's.

Kitty looked at a customer's turned back. He was old, and probably couldn't hear anything that had been going on... but still. She didn't want a reputation to develop so suddenly. She walked around the counter and gave his shirt a little tug in the direction of the back room where she restored her books. "Right this way, sir..." Kitty said in a very professional voice, just in case there was any suspicion around them. One old man wasn't much of a threat, though.
Though it seemed nothing could be seen as one, since right as Nathan was two steps in the other room, Kitty landed a kiss right on his lips.

With a surprised blush, he laughed as well, returning the kiss before giving her a big smile. "I-I think thats a pretty good offer...Fine ok I'll take you out instead." He winked with a charming smile.

Kitty beamed at him. It seemed like her whole day was set just from the idea of having coffee with him, but now that he was actually there, nothing could take her away from her moment. "Sounds like a plan... So, to the cafe? I guess I'm supposed to try and meet my friend's new boyfriend. She's really crazy about him..."

"Most likely not nearly as serious as I am about you..." he smirked though held a pretty serious face. He told himself it was a joke though a bit too serious of one. He wasnt really sure where it came from adn the blush showed it. "Though...erm...should we gothen?" He offered trying to change the subject.

That took her aback somewhat. He was already serious about her? Not wanting to let her go? How strange... though she felt the same way just a bit, she wasn't so sure about his feelings being so strong so fast. It was her only inkling that something wasn't right, but she didn't dwell on it and simply moved on with a smile. "Of course. I have my purse right here," she said, grabbing it from a nearby shelf. "You look like you need a good coffee..."

He chuckled. "Yeah...You have no idea..." He rubbed his face tiredly, silently cursing himself. He was getting flustered. While trying to carry out his plan, he was for some reason getting shaken by her, slipping up here and there. It wasn't normal, it wasnt him.... It was rather aggravating.

Kitty saw his frustration and took his hand. Her soft brown eyes searched his out with so many questions behind them that she wasn't sure where to begin. So she just started with the most simple one. "What's wrong? Did something happen after I got home?" Or maybe she did something wrong? Kitty couldn't be sure, but it was frightening her a little bit.

Samson's body went numb at her grasp s he found he couldn't speak at first. "I-it was nothing you did.... I just...I'm havin a rough time...business wise...It's just frustrating..." He partially lied. It was indeed business but frustrating wasnt the right word. Terrifying was more accurate.
"Though I'm almost positive a cup of coffee with good company would do wonders...." He tried to divert it all again.

Kitty gave his hand a squeeze, trusting everything he said. So beautifully naive, and she wasn't even aware of that. "Well I hope everything turns out for you. Come on, let's go." And with that, Kitty took his hand a bit more firmly and led him out of their little back room. Her help for the afternoon was there already, so all she had to do was yell out that she was leaving and do so.

The couple arrived back at the store, their cafe outing having been cut short by a phonecall for Nathan. Kitty didn't mind, seeing as it was important, but she did hope to see him again soon. "Well, best of luck with that meeting!" she said as she started walking to her counter. "Want your gloves back?" There was a glint in her eye that said she really wanted something for herself rather than giving something back.
