Truly wondering what matter of man, beast or demon had now sworn to help him reach safety, he tried to think of other places he would rather be. Barton did sound rather nice, because it meant that it was the end of this little adventure.
"I am perfectly capable of arriving at my destination solo."
He was going to take a nap right there, or at least rest his head against the side of the boat. He didn't understand the staring people and the murmuring voices, but most of Gaians knew or participated in the grand joke of a war that had taken place over the Halloween holiday. Miserable as he was, the resemblance to the Overseer wasn't lost on a few random people on the boat.
That was when the sea gulls began to amass over the water, gliding on the wind behind the baot. A chorus of a few single calls quickly grew a dozen. Then that grew to over two dozen when more pairs of white wings came off from the main land to add to the number, more and more until between all the swooping shapes and noise, it was impossible to guess just how many sea gulls were flying overhead.
The white-haired man was petrified, trapped on a boat. Already the gulls were beginning to harass him and those onboard with snapping bills.

 ((Let's hope he survives the journey there first.))
"What a weird man." Bapp mumbled to himself, looking at the man from afar.
He looks slightly familiar... I can't put my finger on it, though...
Well, if I can't remember now it probably isn't that important.
He was snapped out of his pondering when he noticed a unusual number of seagulls flying around the boat and snapping at passengers without provocation.
Amongst them was his unnamed travelling buddy.
"Perfectly capable, you said?" Bapp smirked as he waved away the seagulls with what seemed like a single swipe of his scythe. They continued to flutter above before coming back down again for a second assault, not knowing what hit them the first time.
[Signature Attack - Success!]
"Einzelkampf."
Lines seemed to flash around Bapp, before feathers began to rain down from the sky and the seagulls flew away, terrified.
"You okay?" Bapp turned to his petrified travel buddy.

(( Well, if you have not noticed by now by my rapidly deteriorating posts, I need some sleep. You people are on crazy time zones, but all-nighters are fun to pull now and again. I need to catch a few hours before work, good night! )) At some point in the short flurry of feathered chaos before the birds were driven off, the white-haired man had dissappeared from the boat. The keen crying of seagulls helped to mask the sound of the splash, and they had also driven him to abandon ship. Letting the air from his lungs, the man sank quickly towards the sandy bottom, watching the underside of the boat get farther and farther away with every second. Bapp was talking to was thin air, where the man had been sitting just a moment before, and the cloak had been left behind on the deck. One Gaian was staring over the edge of the boat, searching the ripples in the water curiously, and not quite sure what she just saw, shrugged. The shore never seemed to be so far off, but the tide was with him. The man was washed up to the beach for the second time within the twenty-four hours, and he was only happy to have escaped the birds and the strange Bapp. It was an odd day indeed, when he counted it lucky to be soaked to the bone again. But instead now he headed towards the heart of the island in a slow and steady march.

"This man..."
"I threw him earlier..."
"Cheeeeeeeeeeh! Where did he go?" Bapp leaned against the side of the boat, staring out into the distance.
"Wonder why I helped him so much...
It felt like...
I owed him something..."

The boat landed at the port safely.
Bapp got off the boat and continued his journey towards Barton, humming a song along the way.
"No point searching for him. I'll probably meet him there..."
Bapp stopped in his tracks and thought for awhile.
"Hope he didn't collapse somewhere..."

Kyo yawned and stretched out across the sand. After the war he was separated from the Overseer and decided to take up residency on the the island. He knew that one day he would be united with him. Missing the sweet aroma of his Master he reached into his care kit and pulled out one of the Overseer's old robes and buried his face into it lovingly and at the same time sadness...remembering all the days of back washing, clam polishing, fighting, and preparing meals he did. He hated being so far apart.
((rolls to hug???))
Suddenly a figure in the distance stood up and walked began to walk inland. Squinting his eyes he made out a lanky man wearing odd clothing that didn't seem to look right on him. His eye trailed up the figure to see the swooping white bangs of the overseer. Immediately he packed the robe back into the bag and ran in his Master's direction. "Overseer," he shouted, eyes full of tears. As h approached the man he dropped the bag and leapt to hug him. Successfully wrapping his arms around the man and causing them to fall onto the sand.
((I'm not a creeper. I swear XD))
