Degial on the balcony, landing smoothly. "A beautiful name," He breathed as he folded his wings. The beautifully carved glass doors opened and Degial lead Mirina into the throne room. With a bow, he stepped to Rael "The Cambion, my Lord, her name is Mirina." Slowly, he stepped to the side, revealing to Mirina the Lord of the Celestials.

So deep in thought, Rael doesn't notice when the pair arrive. In fact, behind the laced fingers, his eyes are closed as he tries to work through his doubts, and put plans into motion in his mind. So much to plan and account for, and in an odd twist of fate the pair are announced just as Rael tries to work out where the Cambions exist in the upcoming machinations. His eyes pop open, and he rises with a customary warm smile as his voice- once again soft and smooth, sings out in pleasure.
"Degial . . . oh, how I knew you would not fail me! Excellent, excellent!" Rael walks in an almost gliding cadence over to the pair, and gently pats Degial's right arm. Turning to the guest, he moves a tad closer. With the lightest of touches, he reaches out and takes one of her hands, taking the time to hold it in both of his own and offer her a broad smile.
"Judging by the commotion earlier, you have not been here for some time. As such, despite how cliche and trite the phrase might be, allow me the pleasure of saying 'Welcome home.' Now, Mirina . . . such a unique name. Were you fostered near the sea? Perhaps an affinity for marine life? I have so much I wish to learn of your life thus far, with your indulgence." His voice is calm and smooth, his eyes dancing with excitement. This is the first step in both his plans, and in showing that there is little to fear from the Light for those that follow it.

Mirina was a bit taken. The only person who had ever treated her kindly right off the bat in her life, was her mother and that was long ago. Soon into the greeting came questions. Mirina was a bit overwhelmed but tried her best to start it clearly."I was born in an area far to the west of here in a sky community. It was a bit like a clan. We dealt in the abilities to use light to our advantage. I figure the civilization is gone, though the area is probably there. It rests upon the clouds. It can not be seen though, you need to be able to bend light to remove the cloak. Even i am not strong enough alone to do it. If you'd like to know how i ended up leaving, i was about 19 at the time, i was attacked by another cambion. He wanted my head for being harsh to him. He was superior to me and i was foolish at the time. As we fought, someone opened a portal and i fell through. It wasnt some one of my clan either, none in our clan has that ability. I was thrust to earth and resided there for the next 205 years." Mirina told, then paused in thought, "Over that time, i was in many fights in the beginning, first with school girls in their human schools, then with street people. I lived a semi normal human life. I played the role of a 16yr old human girl for about 5 years till i pretended to take my own life. I knew i couldnt stay forever. They were showing aging as i was not. that was part of the reason i was in fights. Usually i would hide with my abilities. Ive learned alot of humans and had much time to think on their fate and roll in life. Humans will be their own downfall in the end, left to their own. They are ignorant pitiful creatures, that need saved not thrown away. They are blind and irrational, jumping the gamete and causing themsel[/co

Rael listened intently to every word, absorbing the synopsis of Mirina's life. In it she gives tidbits of information, bits that are very valuable. Only when she stops does he realize he is still holding onto her hand, and how he must have been staring. With the presence of mind to be abashed, he releases her hand with an apologetic smile. "How rude of me to keep you out in the hall like this . . . Please, come with me." Walking back towards the throne, he does so slowly, something like the speed of an idle stroll.
"Is there anything I can do to make you more comfortable? Perhaps you would like a place to sit while we talk? I have a conference room just off to the side of this place where chairs a-plenty wait. Perhaps you are hungry- we could have something made fairly quickly as well. One thing I feel important to mention, however. I have no wish to be unfair. As I am asking so much of you, to retell your life and experiences, I urge you to feel free and ask me anything you choose in return." Looking over at the girl with a playful smile, he winks when he adds "I do reserve the right to have some secrets, though."
In his mind, Rael analyzes her words cautiously. He wants to be her friend, wants to bring the Cambions in as allies. Her views on humanity initially seem right as his own- but commenting not to throw them away might not work. Still, only time will tell, and there is no need to rush and ruin this. A colony of Cambions on Earth? He only hopes the weapon of the skies has not destroyed what could be a perfect starting point for the retaking of that desolated world.

Hans gracefully stepped back onto the Sarra side of the portal, his hands automatically clasping behind his back as he strode forward back to the throne him, only giving the bodies a cursory glance out of the corner of his eye to ascertain that he had counted them correctly so as to give an accurate report to his king.
He walked briskly through the halls, avoiding running in to anyone, and receiving no greetings from his fellows as they appeared to ignore his presence. He stopped just outside the door to the throne room he was about to enter through when he heard the faint sound of voices on the other side. He merely shrugged and opened the door silently as they came to a brief lull in the conversation and he stayed back, half in the shadows as he watched the three others in conversation. He only raised an eyebrow and tilted his head to the side as he saw the cambion before regaining his straight posture of relaxed attention, waiting for his own turn patiently.

Sabidan lightly landed of the balcony of the castle of Light. As he approached Raels chambers, he saw the Cambion talking. Sabidan gritted his teeth and stepped back, next to Hans. "Hello Hans. How have you been?"

He turned his view slowly away from Rael to Sabidan who was standing beside him and bowed his head to his superior in greeting and show of respect. He turned his eyes back to his king before answering Sabidan's inquiry. His quiet voice was just above audible to the man beside him, so as not to disturb the others conversation.
"I am well, sir." He paused, wondering if he should add more, after all...was Sabidan trying to start an actual conversation? Or just filling up the empty air? He frowned before adding, his voice stinting. "And...you, sir?"

Sabidan nodded at him. "I've been better." he said truthfully. It seemed that Rael and the...cambion...were going to be here for a while. "Was there something you needed? I think Rael might be busy for a while.."

Hans merely nodded. "The King will wish to know of the dead and wounded from the attack on the base camp. I am patient, I will wait my turn to report." his gaze never strayed to look at Sabidan during their conversation, preferring to keep an I on the cambion talking to Real, taking in her appearance and close attention to her body language, should it become hostile or threatening.

Sabidan noticed how he eyed the Cambion. Watching her every move, just like he was. "Do you not trust the Cambion, Hans? Don't worry, I don't either." He walked a couple steps back, and sat on a chair. "Might as well take a seat, we are going to be here a while."

Degial took a lyre lying on the table and came to sit beside Sabidan, crossing his legs on the embroidered cushions. "I don't know what you two are so worried about," He smiled, "She's just a harmless little girl." He reached out and touched Sabidan's arm, attempting to calm him.

"They were labeled abominations for a reason, Degial." he said shifting slightly in his chair. "And I doubt she's harmless. Look at how young she looks, and she was wandering the streets of Earth for, how long?"

"Oh come, that should hardly surprise you." Degial sighed, knowing he was fighting an uphill battle. "Creatures change, Sabidan. You above all people should know that." He kept the smile stubbornly on his face, turning back and started playing his lyre. It was a soft song, soothing and sweet, typical of Degial.

Mirina smiled as she heard the soft but faint and familiar melody of a lyre. It soothed her mind into a nostalgic state as she flashed back to her mother. She quickly snapped back as a silence filled the air. "Oh, I apologize, i must of dozed off a bit in the warmth of that sweet sound." She said in a gentle apologetic tone. "My mother played many instruments as well, and i used to love to listen. Infact it was a thing of our civilization." Mirina thought back on her days of Earth though and a deep sadness began to show in her eyes, deceiving her smile. "All i require is lodging and a means to make a living is all i ask of you." She said, a bit of exhaustion in her expression, "I can take of myself quite well and hope to use that ability to keep from being a burden to you sir."

"And if you join, then the Nephilims will join, to! Even that wretched Halfbreed!" he stood up. "We all know the Cambions, Nephilims, and Halfbreed are all little buddies!" he said, throwing his hands in the air.
