Shisu was actually surprised when she cut Death-sensei and couldn't believe he didn't even wince. After he complimented her on her move and she stood up she followed suit, standing and brushing off her back. When Death-sensei announced that she was a genin she broke out into a grin that hurt her cheeks and was so excited she felt like doing a few cartwheels, but restrained.
When Death-sensei held out his empty hand Shisu looked at it little confused. She was even more confused when he crossed his other hand over it and a headband appeared. How in the world... she wondered. After he told her it was hers she reached out took it in her hand. Watching the metal reflect in the light she smiled even wider if that was possible. Looking up at Death-sensei she said, "Thank you so much for everything. It was really nice to fight someone challenging even if you were holding back. If you don't mind me asking, what do I do now?"
{{Woohoo! Genin! I've noticed people have a blank headband picture that they add their symbol to. Do you know how I can find that?}}

Death thought about this for a second, What should she do next? Hmm... The best choice was probably to join a cell. Unfortunately, the cells weren't progressing as Death had hoped, but made telling people to try it could help out the cause.
Trying to word it to sound the most interesting, Death advised, "Joining or making a cell would help a lot. A cell is a team of ninja and you all learn from each other and con go on your very own missions whenever you like."
((I'm not sure where the headbands come from, I would like to find out, too.))

Shisu watched Death-sensei ponder her question, waiting for a suggestion. When Death-sensei announced that she should join a cell she was excited to get started. She hoped she could find some team mates.
"Thank you for your advice Death-sensei," Shisu said bowing to him, "And thank you for being a great sensei." With that Shisu pulled out one a small cloth bundle tied with twine from her ninja tool bag and tossed it to Death-sensei.
"Maybe you can use these," she said smiling, "It's one of the only ways I can thank you." With that said, Shisu ran off in the direction of the village waving behind her. She hoped Death-sensei could use the ninja tools in the bundle which were two of her special kunai, four of her hollowed shuriken, her unique glass knock-out gas bomb, and a note explaining how to use each.
{{Actually, you can figure out what each does on my profile page. If you don't understand just tell me. By the way, I can't even find the headbands on google, so I am going to try to ask Akuma how he made his.}}

Haruko TsubameNameless Village | Medical Ninja | ChuuninFlying over the village walls and out towards the wilderness, Haruko basked in the freedom that way the sky. She had missed flying on Rei's back, with all the stuff that she had been working on lately, she hadn't had much time to fly around with Rei. But right now, being up here in the air made Haruko feel so relax and free. No examinations, no responsiblities, just time to enjoy for herself. Feeling Rei begin to decend downward, Haruko snapped out of her thoughts and looked at the lovely field before her. The Wondering Plains were a lovely part of the wilderness with many vast hills great for a doton user like herself. 'And its good to practice stealth as well...' Hopping off once she was about 2 meters from the ground, Haruko performed some quick handseals to shrink down Rei's size before turning towards the village as she awaited the arrival of her two students. Tired of flying, Rei landed on Haruko's shoulder and nustled up close to her face.

As Shusou and Ka approached the Wandering Plains, they spotted Haruko. Shusou looked around for the giant bird she had been flying on, catching sight of a much smaller one on Haruko's shoulder. 'Another summons?' Shusou thought. He was quick. It seemed that he made it before Shisu.
Taking a small breath, he raised his hand up in greeting at the silver-haired teacher. "Hiya," he said. When Shusou approached, Ka took his usual seat beside him, looking around in an attempt to get a feel for the area.

Shisu finally got to the plains and realized Shusou was already there. Well, darn, she though, bending over, shaking with silent laughter. I guess I shouldn't have stopped to wait at the village gates when I didn't see them leave yet. Shoving her wakizashi back in her boots, she walked over to Shusou and Ka.
"Good job," she said, smiling at the both of them before turning to Haruko.
"So, are we free to spar? No major injuries, of course," Shisu asked.
{{Sorry the reply took so long.}}

Haruko TsubameNameless Village | Medical Ninja | ChuuninHaruko smiled at Rei's affections and lifted her left hand to pet her personal swallow summon. Hearing the sound of laboured breathing and shifting feet, Haruko looked up to see Ka dashing quickly towards her location. Smiling in greeting to the wolf summoing, she watched as her two students filed in soon after.
"Yep, you two are free to spar, just be careful. I would hate to have to bring both of you to the hospital after this." Backing up to give the two students room to fight. Haruko watched attentively from a distance. "Feel free to start whenever. Good luck you two."

Shusou looked at his teacher and nodded. "Right. I'll make sure not to go overboard." He giggled a bit at his joke, not really expecting to give Shisu any 'major' injuries even at his best. He turned to Ka, giving him a slightly worried glance. "Don't get hurt," he said. His voice still held a pleasant air so that only Ka could detect the seriousness of the command.
"Don't underestimate me," Ka huffed. But he knew well enough that when it came to what was precious, Shusou would sacrifice his own life. 'No injuries,' Ka thought, 'Major or otherwise.'
Shusou nodded his head as he took out the tanto Ka had thrown at him in the classroom. He held it in his left hand, blade facing left and out. He took fighting stance and smiled at Shisu. "Alright Sensei, ready when you are!" His nerves were on fire, but his extincts were keen. He felt himself looking forward to a test of his skills.

Hearing Haruko's A-okay to fight, Shisu took a deep breath and quickly did a mental scan of what ninja tools she had with her and shifted a kunai that was strapped to her arm under her sleeve a little further down so it was easier to grab and so it wouldn't cut her if she had to do any fancy dodging which she expected she might have to.
Orienting herself so she was about ten feet away from Shusou, Shisu clasped her hands behind her back, smiled, and said, "You can make the first move, actually, Shusou-san."

Shusou nodded, his smile never wavering. But his body tensed. His mind was already in the process of analyzing Shisu's entire body; a side-effect of the intense medical training he had undergone in the Seikon company. Muscles, nerves, skeleton. Shusou had constructed an approximate diagram of the places of Shisu's most vulnerable parts. But there was something off. 'Her stance is so open. What is she hiding,' he asked himself.
Shusou slowly edged his way to the side, his eyes monitoring his teachers every movement. Then, with a burst of speed, he rushed at her, aiming for her left leg, just above the knee, hoping to slow her down. 'She seems fast. I have to give her a handicap,' he thought, as he quickly closed the gap between teacher and student.

Shisu watched as Shusou stared at her for a minute. Analyzing before attacking. Very good, she thought, making sure to take mental notes of the spar.
When Shusou suddenly took off with an amazing burst of speed, she smiled, and blocked Shusou's attack by bending down and deflecting the blow with her right hand before using Shusou's momentum to push off and roll backwards, standing up five feet away. Shisu knew it would be best to keep a distance since Shusou preferred close range fighting, but decided to stay pretty close since she was supposed to be evaluating his fighting skills.
Deciding it would be best to see how well Shusou dodged, Shisu quickly whipped out two kunai from her sleeves and threw them at Shusou's outer arms, trying not to maim him too bad if he didn't dodge.

Shusou nearly lost his balance as Shisu's right hand darted out to block his attack. 'She's fast,' was all he had time to think before two kunai came hurtling towards him. Shusou quickly spun to the right, jumping off the ground for a second before landing a foot away from where the kunai hit. Shisu was still close, but if she had anymore tricks up her sleeve, he wanted to steer clear.
'Let's try the back.' Shusou slowly edged himself to the right of Shisu, then made a mad dash forward. As he approached his teacher, he lowered his body close to the ground and used his right hand to push off in a somersault passed her. After landing, with his right hand capping the butt of his tanto, Shusou spun hard, aiming at the point just above the T12 vertebral level, an inch or two above the right kidney.

Shisu expected another close-range attack, but didn't expect how agile Shurou was. She barely had time to duck and even when she did Shusou successfully cut off a good chunk of Shisu's hair. It was all Shisu could do to change her course and clumsily roll away a few feet before staggering upright. Reaching up, Shisu felt her hair to see how much was missing. The damage ended up being four inches off of the right side of her head.
Looks like I need to take this a little more serious, she thought, trying to keep her cool about her hair. Reaching down, she pulled her wakizashi back out of her boots and held one close to her body before launching the other at Shusou, holding onto the end of the ribbon that was attached to the hilt of the wakizashi.

Shusou watched as his teacher felt for her hair. She was faster than him, but apparently not by much. As he readied himself to make another attack he caught Shisu reaching down for two short swords in her boots. His body tensed as he waited for Shisu to approach.
But rather than come at him, his teacher threw one of the wakizashi straight at him. His mind adjusted, but his body didn't. He jumped to his right a second to late. The blade grazed the upper portion of his left arm, just under the shoulder, leaving a large cut.
Shusou let out a grunt of pain, but remained focused. Ka was by Shusou's side in less than a second, a needle having been summoned from the seals on his tongue. Taking the needle, Shusou quickly concentrated a moderate amount of chakra into his fingers, and began threading it into a thick wire. His nimble fingers began working as he stitched up the cut, applying a small amount of healing chakra to stop the bleeding, all within the span of six seconds.
Shusou grabbed his tanto with his left hand. 'The straight forward tactic isn't working,' he thought, his mind going through a number of different strategies. Giving out a small sigh, Shusou decided on something. Making a few hand seals, he hit the earth with the palm of his hand, muttering, "Tsuchi Bunshin no Jutsu," quietly under his breath.
Underneath, the ground began to mold itself into a perfect replica of Shusou. Using the Hidden Mole technique, the clone burrowed its way beneath Shisu, ready to strike.
Shusou himself took a few step towards Shisu. "You're good Sensei," he said with a smile. "I'm definitely glad you're my teacher." He meant it. A strong opponent meant a person who could improve her student's deficits.
But rather than praising her, he really wanted to distract her. He hadn't been subtle; she'd wonder what he was up to with the hand seals. He needed to make sure her mind was on other things. With another burst of speed, Shusou ran toward Shisu, wary of the ribbon that connected her blade to her hand.

{{So sorry about the long wait. Every time I went to post my mom had me run an errand or just get off the computer in general.}}
Shisu watched, stunned, as Shusou sewed up his own would. Geez... there's no way I could do that. The kid has some serious tolerance for pain, she though, still staring. Snapping out of it, Shisu tried to figure out what jutsu Shusou had just used, but couldn't figure it out. She waited for something to happen, but there was nothing. Very suspicious, Shisu thought, eying Shusou, who was now walking towards her slowly, with suspicion.
Wrapping the ribbon around her hand, she prepared to jerk back on it and send the wakizashi flying back towards her but held off. That is, until Shusou charged. Gripping one wakizashi in her left hand, she prepared to counter the student's tanto while pulling back on the other one's ribbon to send it flying back towards her. Two things could happen, if Shusou attacked her from the front the wakizashi would embed itself in his back, if he struck from the side or from a lower position Shisu would just grab the wakizashi out of the air.
