Especially Azure Kite.
I also like Ohka alot, though she was just from the Legend of the Twilight Bracelet.
After them, I'd say... Haseo, I know, another main character.
I always like the Main char, if it's a good series.
And for four and five, Mia and Endrance.

Well, they have the same weapon type and somewhat similar designs. Personalities are quite different though. @Shane: I can agree with Azure Kite and Haseo, but how people like Endrance eludes me.

Kite + feathers = WATY-you still haven't read .hack//4koma?! Geez, Griever. GEEZ. In it, there be a parody comic of Kite and Balmung becoming friends. Balmung's all, "We've had our ups and downs, but I hope we'll continue to watch out for each other." And then Kite replies, with a perfectly normal face, "Actually, I was super jealous of you for a long time because of your white wings, shiny armor, and stylish character design, and--now, don't ask me why, but I've got a huge feather fetish, so much that I almost got tricked into buying a 300,000 yen feather futon--and when I saw you so defenseless, your feathers set my heart aflutter, so please make my fetishist dreams come true. Let's be friends!" My idea of his sadisticness comes from lines like, "How about you perform......for my amusement?!" and from his, "I've used my data drain too much.
