1- Never ask for anyone elses password or give them yours- If you ask someone for their password this could be considered scamming
2- No spamming outside CB- Spam is defined as posts that are nonsensical or irrelevant to the topic being discussed. Users are expected to post spam in the Chatterbox forum, and elsewhere to remain on topic and contribute to discussion
3- Be courteous- Don't post explicit, vulgar, insulting or hateful things about other Gaians. This could result in your post being removed, or action taken against you.
4- No Trolling- Trolling is defined as posting material that is designed to offend or upset other members, and it is not permited anywhere on the the site.
5- No Stalking- Stalking is defined as persistant harrassment of an individual or group, and it is not allowed. Gaia Online states "If some-one asks you to stop, please leave them alone."
6- Respect the TOS- Users should not break the terms of service or encourage others to do so. This also applies to illicit activity not expressly forbidden in the TOS.
7- Be Constructive- This rule applies to commenting on user submitions. Overly insulting or vulgar critcism could lead to action being taken against your account. Gaia online suggests "balancing criticism with praise".
8- No Cybering- Cybering is defined as exchanging descriptions of sexual activity or "mature" roleplay. This is not allowed, and soliciting it is also a violation of the rules.
9- No Child Abuse- No discusion/description/promotion of topics surrounding child abuse or child sexuality Nothing that is harmful to a minor is allowed.
10- No Pirating- No sharing of materials, art, music, videos ect, you do not own the rights to, or have permission to share. You are not allowed to request copyrighted material.
11- No Banking Services- Gaia online does not allow user run banking services, these include interest giving services, pawn shop services, loan services and investment services. These are forbidden for security reasons.

Mature Material- All material must be PG-13, meaning no pornography, or excessive gore. Artistic nudity is only allowed on a case by case basis.
Harmful Images- Some images may cause health problems in some users, such as seisures. Any images that may cause health problems will be removed.
Copyright Violation- Art theft is not allowed, you cannot claim any image as your own that you do not own the copyright too. Using this for personal gain is treated as scamming. Art theft can result in prosecution in real life.

The use of any software or codes to generate Gold without the need for you being in front of your computer is generally considered to be botting. Anyone suspected of botting will have their account banned. * Scamming. We reward our users with Gold and hard-to-find rare items, but we have no tolerance for people who try to take other users' assets with get-rich-quick schemes or promises of rare items. Running any kind of scam - including but not limited to lottery scams or trade scams - is strictly prohibited. * Hacking. Hacking is defined as "unauthorized access to another user's account". This includes accessing an account that does not belong to you, or profiting from items taken from a hacked account. Attempts to hack, such as trying to obtain another user's password, will also lead to your account being banned. * Impersonating another user or Gaia Staff Member, including Administrators and Moderators. * Gold Buying/Selling. Buying or selling Gaia gold for real-life cash, whether on Gaia Online or on other sites, is strictly prohibited. Attempts to buy or sell Gaia Gold may also lead to your account being banned. * Offsite trading. Trading, or attempting to trade, Gaia Gold for non-Gaia related accounts or items (or vice versa) will result in an account ban. * Exploiting site glitches for personal gain. No site is perfect, and you will (rarely) run into a glitch while using Gaia Online. When you do, please report it by posting to our Bug Reports and Technical Support forum. However, intentionally exploiting obvious glitches in order to gain more items, Gold, or other benefits can result in your account being banned.
