"So, basically...X has to keep blowing up planets, otherwise he'll suffer for the rest of his long life. Along with Alcina, whom he's tried to distance himself from so that she'd be free of the punishment, but it's all been a waste since he still loves her apparently. So there's a good possibility that the curse will still effect her, and all X has accomplished is making her think he's an a** and leave him. But if he was successful in taking the curse off of her, then he has the satisfaction knowing that she'll be alright and maybe find someone to replace him, even though he hates the thought of that." Burr said out loud, folding his arms and starting to pace around the room. "Ontop of that, he has a nice little group of uber powerful beings that want him dead for doing something that Abolisher was making him do, even though he'd never admit that because he's too proud to admit that anyone was making him do anything. He could have stopped everything and put the worlds back when people wanted him to, but he didn't want to risk the curse, so he just dug himself deeper into the hole. Abolisher's gone now, but he still doesn't want to risk the curse for Alcina's sake, and because it's too late for him to make amends and he doesn't want to be in utter pain when Spectre or whoever comes to kill him. He's going to go down fighting, even though he probably knows that he's not going to win."

".....yeah, pretty much." Cantata replied in a slightly upset tone, sitting herself down in one of the couches in the room.

"And Alcina isn't aware of any of this, is she?"

"If she had been, don't you think she'd be attached to X's arm right now? Glued right to his side and kicking anyone's a** that tried to touch him? She'd understand everything, forgive him, and sacrifice her own well being to help him. But, X doesn't want her to get hurt. And if she continued to love him, he'd love her, and the curse would definitely be effective. He's kept her in the dark to protect her."

Burr paused a moment and looked back at Cantata. "You sound a little...well, over upset about this whole thing."

Cantata gave the boy a not so subtle look. "Of course. You think I payed X special visit's just because I needed to get it out of my system? I'm the goddess of creation. I could MAKE the perfect companion for myself or any need I have." she snapped, then calmed her tone down a bit. "I like Xaio. Alright? I really like him, and I'm...he's going to try to go down fighting with his head held high, but he's given up. No one understands him or what's going on, and no one's on his side. I feel helpless. I want to help him. But...."

"But there's nothing you can do." Balancer's voice answered from the hallway.

Both beings turned to find Terragon standing in the doorway. He looked at each of them a moment, then walked into the center of the room. "Where's Sholeh?"

"Lady Koo-Koo was here and offered to tell everyone that the counsel was wiped out. When she left, I sent the girl to talk to Sililoque and Tapistri about getting things straightened out before anyone notices." Cantata replied.

Terragon seemed to relax a bit. "Good. I'll need to go see them a moment myself then. Stay in here." he said, and prepared himself to leave again.

"Wait, can't you do anything? I mean you walked away from that little massacre Spectre made of the counsel." Burr said, stepping up towards Terragon.

An unreadable look swept over Terragon's face a moment, then he closed his eyes and fixed his cloak that draped around him. "I'm afraid there's not much I can do at the moment." he replied. "I did manage to walk away from that, but there are bigger things that need my attention." Actually, Spectre DID kill him before. The only way he was alive right now was th...tha...thank....because of Zera. He wasn't about to let that little bit out though.

Cantata glared at Terragon, then sprang from her seat and was in his face within seconds. "Bigger things that need your attention?! Like what exactly?!" she growled. "Things are FINE here! When they get chaotic, then you can come in and do your thing. But Xaio is going to be KILLED because of something ABOLISHER was making him do! Tell me what exactly needs your attention more than helping an innocent man?! HUH?!"

Burr blinked and stared slightly slack jawed at Cantata. He'd NEVER seen her blow up like that before. The surprise on his face was nothing compared to the surprise in Terragon's eyes though. Balancer's face was as neutral as every, but his eyes were wide and completely taken aback.

"Making sure our planet doesn't fall into discord for one." Terragon replied after a brief bit of silence. "It's true things are fine for the moment, but I'd rather not give it the chance...give Zera the chance rather, to turn things upside down." That was the truth too. As much as he hated it, he owed her. He did not want her to turn things inside out, then tell him he had to simply sit by and watch. "Making sure you all are safe from Spectre for another. We are more than likely still on his hit list you know. X has made his own decisions, despite the punishment that hung over his head."

"Well then, I'll put it to you this way. If you don't go out and help Xaio, then I'll go out myself! I'll put myself directly between him and Spectre if I have to. How about that?"

Elsewhere, in one of the many towers linked together in an intricate web of bridges and arches....

"Nyuuuuuu! You owe me BIG time, Tapistri!" a high pitched, unmistakably feminine voice called out from behind a rather tall stack of papers.

"Just because you hate paperwork doesn't mean it's my fault, Sili." a deeper female voice called out from a small room. A moment later, a woman with gray skin and a long white dress entered the room with a stack of papers in her arms. Her black eyes moved to a stack of papers sitting on the desk where the lighter voice had come from and rested there a moment. "Besides, it IS your job to do this kind of stuff, isn't it?" she asked a bit chidingly, jerking her head back to let a strand of light gray hair move out of her face.

The papers on the desk suddenly exploded off of the desk, and a very pale girl stood behind the desk with her hands over her head. "I knoooooow..." the pale girl whined. "But I hate this much work at once! I mean, if I had like a day to plan for it, this wouldn't be so bad..." she continued as she ran her fingers through her silver hair with the pink dyed ends. "I was supposed to go out on a date with my Poo-Poo tonight. This is going to take FOR-EVER!."

"So go buy yourself the latest in fashion tomorrow and take him on a surprise date." Tapistri sighed as she set the stack of papers in her eyes on the desk. "This is important."

Soliloquy made a face at her gray friend, then crossed her arms. "Hmph. You're only giving this thing top priority because the kid said that it would help out Terragon..."

Tapistri suddenly blushed. "I..that is...of course not!" she said, then straightened herself out. "We need to find replacement counsel asap! This has nothing to do with...well, it kind of does, but that's not why I'm doing this. It's our job to do all the-"

"Oh please. I mean, where was the memo on this? I for one want to know what exactly happened that we have to do this right now. Couldn't the counsel just call home and..."

"No, they can't." Sholeh called out as she slowly entered the room with a stack of papers herself.

"Why not? You haven't told us anything other than we need to find replacements asap."

"Yes..." came a deep, rather monotone voice from one of the doorways. "I was wondering that myself.
In the doorway, stood a man with small black eyes in a long black and white coat over a gray suit. His black beard and mustache was neatly trimmed, his black hair was trimmed and brushed straight back to perfection. Even the four long streaks of white that ran through it were perfectly in line. His skin was as white as could be...except for the large black patches that encircled his eyes.

All three girls turned towards the man, blinked, and the papers slid out of Sholeh's hands.

The man raised an eyebrow ever so slightly at the former Chooser, then casually made his way further inside the room towards the three ladies.

"Ah...um...sir, you see...well..."
Sholeh began, trying to think of an excuse.

"Please, child. You think something this big would go unnoticed? Give the elders more credit than that." he said, pointing a long pale finger at the mess of papers all over the floor.
Rather suddenly, every bit of paper flew into the air, neatly stacked themselves back into proper order, and floated back into one of the other rooms. A small stack of about twenty papers remained hovering in the air, and it soon found it's way in front of Tapistri.

Sholeh winced a bit. "....all the elders know?"

"What else have we to do lately other than observe. Besides, a being with that much power suddenly coming into our world would be hard for anyone to ignore." the man replied.

Soliloquy blinked. "Um, you wanna fill those of us that don't have eons of experience under our belt in on what's going in, old timer?"

Tapistri shot the other girl a look.

Soliloquy blinked. "What? He's Terragon's dad. He's old. And he's not his Drill Sargent of a father, so I can call him old without him getting offended. Right."

The man blinked at her a moment, then murmured something about 'children these days' to himself. "Regardless, we can't waste time. The best replacement choices should be on the papers provided. Simply find the appropriate ones, and tell them that the counsel is having a top priority meeting. I know most of the other Elders have been wanting to relive their roles, so I'll bring as many of them back as I can. We'll say that the previous counsel was stripped of their titles, so the Elders reclaimed their roles until better people could take up the positions. We'll let them know that if they make the same mistakes as the previous counsel, they shall be stripped of power and exiled as well."

Sholeh blinked. "Exiled?"

"That's right." the man replied. "If you'd like more information on it, I believe Miss Tapistri here can pull out the Counsil's book on rules and regulations. Section TX, Chapter 82, title 'Clean Slate'." he said, as a very faint smile crossed the corner of his mouth. "This isn't the first time something like this has happened. We've made precautions on how to handle such a delicate situation."

"Ok, can someone please tell me what's going on?

"The entire counsel has been destroyed." he replied unnervingly casually. "Burnt to a crisp. Save for at least two. Lady Chaos, the Creator..." he said, then turned and raised an eyebrow at the youngest girl. "Whom...I'm having a rather difficult time locating. As well as my son. Are they alive?"

"Y-yes. They're both fine. They think the Spectre might still come after them, so Terragon had Cantata stay someplace he said would be safe."

The man's arched brow seemed to go up even further. "He took her there, did he?" he said seemingly to himself. He paused a moment, then turned back to the other two women. "Well, you know what to do now. Have everyone you contact meet in the Great Hall, and have them stay there until I'm able to return with as many elders as I can bring. We'll handle things from there." he said. The next moment, he was just gone.

All three girls stood staring at where the man had just been. Two of them, more out of surprise at what the man had just said. The whole...someone just came in and destroyed the most powerful beings on the entire planet thing.

"Well then, I'll put it to you this way. If you don't go out and help Xaio, then I'll go out myself! I'll put myself directly between him and Spectre if I have to. How about that?" Cantata spat out at Terragon.

For a second or two, Terragon simply stood and stared at her, as if he didn't know how to respond to that. Other than...
"I...I can't." he replied quietly.

"What do you mean you can't? Can't, or WON'T?"

"Can't would be the best answer." an older male voice replied for Terragon.
All three beings turned to find Terragon's father standing near the entrance of one of the various rooms of the small building.
"That planet is completely out of our jurisdiction. We have no right to disturb anything that goes on there. This includes X. I realize that the blame should go entirely to the former Abolisher, but not only has he already been dealt with, most of his wrongdoings have been taken care of. Everything else that has happened there falls entirely on Xaio's shoulders. We have no right to interfere."

Cantata glared at him for a beat, obviously still fuming over the lack of support for Xaio, but she didn't dare snap at the other man. "So you're not even going to help? If I bring him here, will you help THEN?" she said in a rather controlled sounding tone.

The older man gave her a bit of a look. "I suppose something will have to be done. Unfortunately we'd have to discipline Xaio in the end anyway. Along with you for endangering our planet." he replied.

After quite some time of arguing with Terragon’s father, Cantata finally gave up and planted herself on the couch with a scowl. There was no point in arguing, and there was no point in getting herself in trouble.

Burr turned his interest over to the surprisingly large entertainment system in one of the other rooms.
Meanwhile, Terragon and his Father retreated to one of the other rooms to have a private discussion about what was to be done next.

”The time on that planet is altered so much, I don’t think it would be safe for me to go down there while the Specter’s still lurking about. Zira brought me back, but I seriously doubt she’ll do it again. It’ll be best if I wait my week out here naturally, rather than have a surprise at sometime down there.”

The older man placed a hand on his beard and thought for a moment. ”Yes…keeping to your solitary would be best for the time being. I do believe Lady Chaos has already paid a visit here, so don’t be surprised if she shows up again. We’ll also have to make arrangements to have things taken care of here. A new counsel to be made. Letting the rest of the planet know. Finding some other form of entertainment since the Games have been held since most of the citizens can remember.”

Terragon thought for a moment. ”Perhaps we can simply change it into something less violent.” he said, almost to himself. ”I’ll need to talk to Sholeh and have her gather a new group of competitors. From our own planet this time.”

The older man looked at him a moment, then glanced back into the other room. The two other beings should be fine for a few moments alone. ”Let’s go back and pay a visit to Sholeh and Tapistri then.”

With that, the two vanished from the underground home completely.

// Because I’m too lazy to type out all the events that lead up to this…I’m just going to have an uber time-skip. razz //

Terragon and his father stood outside the doors of a large floating building. They had left the hidden sanctuary, after a rather lengthy discussion with the young Goddess of Creation, and a small discussion with Sholeh about a new form of "Games", and arrived at a secluded home in one of the planet’s…well the closest word for it would be forests. The area could be considered rural by Human terms. Perhaps the home of a Hermit wouldn’t be too far off.

Everything around the floating home was dark, save for a faint lavender light that illuminated one of the upper rooms. Terragon stood with his arms crossed and his cape draped over his figure, leaning against the column supporting the corner of the porch roof. His father stood in front of the door, waiting patiently for the owner of the building to come to the door. His posture was firm and strong, yet gave off a subtle hint that this was his relaxed posture.

After what seemed like a good fifteen minutes, there was finally a bit of clattering from behind the door. A few clicks, clacks, and metallic cracks. Then the door finally opened, revealing a rather…wide man. He was a large man, probably never preformed any heavy lifting in his life, but his height evened everything out. His head was bald, and it appeared that any hair he once had made the decision to move to his uncombed teal beard, which was long enough to betray his probable age. His skin was a golden color, and it seemed to almost glow from behind his dark purple house robe that he wore. The small glowing orb that he held in his hand, serving as his light, probably helped with the illusion. His lavender eyes rested on the former deity, and a smile instantly curled around his face.
“Libran!” the man called out as he fully exited the home, bare feet and all. ”By the seven rivers, you haven’t aged a day since we last met.” he said, stopping in front of his old friend.

”I wish our reunion would have been under better circumstances, my friend. I apologize for coming to you at such a late hour.” the father replied.

”It’s quite alright.” the man said, shaking his hand. ”I sleep far too many hours a day anymore. Please, come in. You’ll have to excuse the mess…I never was much for cleaning.”

Libran smiled faintly, then turned his eyes towards Terragon, who was still standing in the corner of the porch. ”Plutonis, you’ve met my son, Terragon, correct?”

The yellow being turned to look at him, then smiled widely. ”Yes. I haven’t personally seen your boy since he was…well, a boy. I haven’t seem much of anyone since retirement. You’ve been doing a fine job, son. A fine job.”

Terragon shifted uncomfortably. ”Yeah…thanks.”

”Actually…” Libran began. ”That’s what we’ve come to talk to you about.”

”Well, come inside and you can fill me in on everything.” the man in the robe replied, ushering the other two inside the house.

The three men sat in what was supposed to be the lounge of the large floating house. Each had a seat at separate ends of a large floating ring. Libran had just finished explaining everything to the former deity, in detail. Plutonis sat leaning forward with his elbows resting on his legs, and his hands balled up and in front of his face. His smile was gone and his expression had been replaced with deep thought.
Finally he sighed deeply and sat back in his seat. ”I feared something had happened. I had an ominous feeling that day. And I wasn’t the only one. Several of our old friends contacted me with similar feelings.” he said gravely, then paused another moment in thought.
”I agree that we should not interfere with Earth. That is out of our hands. I have always hated our so called ’games’…and I know that many of our friends did not approve of it as well. I will gather as many as I can out of retirement, and we shall take the reigns for a while. Make a law that banishes such a thing so that it never happens again. Then…we will allow the younger ones to take our places. Provided they’re qualified for the job. No more…” he sighed. ”No more corruption like this again.”

Terragon seemed to relax at the man’s willingness to help get things organized again. ”What shall we do with myself and Cantata? I don’t know if we’ll still be on the Spectre’s list or not.”

The man’s face fell further. ”Yes….she’ll be a problem, won’t she…”

Terragon blinked a moment. ”What do you mean she will?”

”She has feelings for X, does she not? If we refuse to interfere with what’s taking part on Earth or with him, then she might do something drastic.” he replied.

Terragon hesitated. ”Then…what do we do?” he asked, looking over towards his father.

Libran had an unreadable expression on his face. ”…let things play out as they will.” he replied finally.

Terragon frowned and looked at the floor in front of him. Balance…right…nothing could be done then let the universe do as it wishes.

Plutonis sat in thought for a moment or two longer, then stood from his seat and moved towards another room. A lavender light illuminated the walls as he walked though the dark home, and lit up the room once he entered it. There he closed the door behind him.

Terragon watched, then turned towards his father with a quizzical look.

”He’s about to perform a summoning. His level of power…and age…he can’t afford to have anyone in the same room other than himself and his sommoners.”
Libran replied.

A furniture shaking rumble moves through the house, and stills just as quickly as it had begun. A moment later, Plutonis reentered the room with a bit of a smile. A young girl, looked to be no more than sixteen or so, followed in behind him. She had long purple hair of two different colors and shades and type. Most of it was a light purple that was straight and silky. The darker purple was unruly and stuck out in random places. She straightened out a pink and orange hair piece that matched her dress. She appeared to be a tad annoyed, but it seemed to be caused by the roughness of her trip.

"I apologize for the shaky trip, Lyubitshka. My abilities are a bit rusty for such extensive summoning."

"Ubi..." the girl sighed, her purple eyes snapping up at the older man. "It's Ubi. Please don't use my full name. I can't stand the sound of it.” Her eyes then fell on the other two in the room. She paused a moment, then politely tipped her head to them. ”Greetings Balancers.” she said, addressing both of them. She glanced around at the messy momentarily, then looked back up to Plutonis. ”Your home looks exactly the same as my last visit. Haven’t you at least hired a housemaid?”

Rather than answer her question, Plutonis asked the young being to have a seat in one of his relatively clean chairs. There, he explained the situation on both Earth and this planet.

"And that's why I summoned you. This is your home world, so you should be more than allowed to do what needs to be done here. And if Cantata gets herself into trouble in Earth, that should count as well, right?" the older man asked hopefully.

Ubi blinked a moment, then tilted her head down and wrapped her fingers around her chin. "Uuuuu....home I can do. But Earth....that's an entirely different matter. One that sounds like it needs to be dealt with though. Strange...why was no one aware of what was going on there?" she asked, looking back up at the man.

"Because...a former high-class Arcane is currently there. She's been there for most of the time." the man replied, rather uncomfortably.

Ubi's expression turned into obvious interest. "Oh? Who is it? As far as I know, most of our higher classes are in study or meditation."

"She's actually a former Arcane who was never officially dismissed. She was caught in the midst of the "Tragedy."

If anything the girls interest sparked. "Oh? Who? If it was a freed Arcane, then surely someone knew that they were there."

"I believe she goes by the name of Alcina now."

The girl tipped her head to the side. "I don't recognize it. She wasn't in any books then. Did she do something to break the code? Because I haven't read that much on the list of those who have failed the code."

"I'm sorry, but can someone please explain to me what's going on?" Terragon chimed in, leaning forward in his seat with his arms crossed. He had no idea what they were talking about.

The other three turned to look at Terragon as if he lived under a rock or something. Ubi looked rather insulted and huffed as she flopped back in her seat. "Well...I guess our practice is rather small...." she mumbled to herself.

Plutonis smiled a bit. "You know of the planet that was destroyed, correct? Well, a few of it's inhabitants were away on various business trips when the event happened. A few of the people that were gone were part of the planet's...oh what would be a word for it? Anyway, it was a group of women who grew their powers and abilities and acted as the planets...psychics and priestesses would be the closest thing I suppose. Sorceresses Supreme. Yes. They were part of a group that lived in solitude and went around taking care of problems that couldn't be done by others. As long as they were for the greater good of course. The ones who missed the death of the planet continued their practice, and began the group anew. They no serve many planets rather than just one, but there are few members of the group, so it's not surprising that you've never heard of them. Ubi is under the rank of Seraphim, the...second level one can reach. Higher classes of Seraphim train under those who have reached the next rank. The difficult to obtain title of Arcane. A "higher-class Arcane" are Arcanes who are very, very close to moving onto one of the the highest ranks of their practice. Had the planet survived, Arcanes would have been considered the most one of the most powerful beings on the planet. There was another group like them of course. A male populated one. It failed to survive the ages though."

Terragon blinked. "So they're basically powerful beings that go around and help those who need it most?"

"That would be the gist of it, yes." his father replied.

"We're a highly private and special group!" Ubi snapped.

"Don't take offense to it Ubi. Remember that in this day and age not many people find great power impressive." Plutonis said with a smile.

Ubi huffed and sank back into her chair.

"So then...if Alcina was traveling around with X and she was supposed to help those that needed it. Why didn't she do anything?" Terragon asked.

"Isn't that answer obvious?" Libran replied, arching a brow. "And off topic. I believe we should get back on track and discuss the problem rather than trivial bits."

"Right. Ubi, what would you suggest?" Plutonis asked, turning back towards the girl.

"Well...I certainly have no right to do anything about Earth. I'd have to ask an Arcane. Given what you've said about the former Arcane being there, I'm sure more than one higher class will return with me." Ubi replied, standing up from her seat. "I'll be back with some news or help." she said, then vanished in a cloud of pink smoke.

ENTER from Unknown and Surrounding areas of NYC

After a while, Ubi returned in a flash of light with two other women at her side. Well, one woman, one child. The girl was clearly younger than Sholeh, and her clothing was much more modest than the other two beside her. A small white creature was curled up in her arms as she dusted off the bottom of her dress. The other woman was draped in a golden dress with high slits at both sides of her legs. Her hair was long silver curls, and a bright gold crown sat just behind the base of her bangs.

Plutonis stood from his chair and greeted the three. "Welcome. Have you discussed the matter?"

"We have." Ubi replied a bit uncomfortably. "This is Luludja," she said, indicating the child beside her. "...a Seraphim. And this is Jaelle, an Arcane." she said, indicating the other woman. "They will be helping us keep things under control on our planet."

"And Earth?" Plutonis asked.

Ubi shifted.

"Sister Tsutitsa will be helping us and Planet Earth." the child chimed. "Two other Arcanes will be there to help her if she needs help. They'll also be instructing some of the other high-ranking Seraphim. The ones that look human enough that they could pass off as one."

"But no one is to interfere with Earth unless absolutely necessary." Jaelle added. "We are not to involve ourselves with things that are fated to happen."

Plutonis paused a moment, then nodded and sat back down in his chair.

"And Cantata?" Terragon asked.

"Already left." another voice replied.
A blue swirl of energy appeared in the center of the room, and the blue clad Arcane named Tsutitsa appeared. "I passed her energy signature on the way over here. She's probably on Earth by now." she continued.

Terragon looked a little more than worried. "She left? But..."

"Don't worry..." she assured. "As far as I know, the mighty Spectre has more on his mind right now than looking for her."

Terragon still didn't look very comfortable with the news. "And if she tries to help X?"

The woman shrugged. "She can't get into THAT much trouble in the amount of time we talk here."

Terragon made a bit of a face. "You'd be surprised..."

( enter Exo from Hell )

”Well then, I suppose there is one person that is already on earth that we could use to watch over they young Creator for the time being.” Tsuritsa mused.

”And who would that be? Once Cantata has her mind set on something, she usually won’t let anything get in her way.” Terragon asked in a rather skeptical tone.

”She is still friends with Exodus, is she not? I’m confidant that he will be able to keep her level headed enough to not rush into anything dangerous.” the woman replied.

Terragon blinked a moment. ”Exodus? You mean that man she used to spend time with when she was younger? After X appeared, she spent considerably less time with him. She hasn’t even spoken of him in years. I’m not sure she’d be swayed to do anything for him.”

”Exodus will be able to keep her level headed, at least. Trust me on this. The man has very odd ways, but when he puts his mind to doing something, they somehow manage to get done.” she said with a small smile.

”But, I’m not sure he’ll be able to do anything right now.” the blue clad child beside her said. That Spectre being is destroying one of his energy field worlds. He’s in considerable pain right now.”

”Then we’ll just have to bring him here and fix him, won’t we Lulu?” Tsuritsa said with a small smirk, looking down at her young sister.

In another burst of blue energy, a new figure appeared in the center of the large room. Bent over, holding his skull head, and swearing up a storm. ”For the love of ****ing **** **** ****ing *****, make it STOP!! Six ****ing months of ****ing **** ****-”

The being’s rant came to a slow silence as the pain in his head suddenly diminished. He seemed to blink (but being a skull, couldn’t), then looked to his side. Jaelle was standing beside him with her hand on the side of his head. ”Is that better?” she asked gently.

He paused a moment. ”….yeah. Thanks.” he replied. After another moment, he turned and really got a good look at the room around him. ”Um….where am I? More importantly what am I doing here?”

”We need to ask a favor of you, Exodus.” Tsuritsa replied.

Exo turned and looked at the other woman, then gazed around at the others in the room. ”Oh, never mind. I know where I’m at.” he said, then looked back at the woman. ”So, what do you need?”

”We need you to watch after the Creator and make sure she keeps from doing anything foolish, or falls into a dangerous situation.” she replied.

Exo seemed to perk up instantly. ”Creator? You mean Cantata?”

Tsuritsa grinned knowingly. "Exactly. She has blindly left the safety of this world to try and help Xiao. I'm sure the Balancer here will not be in 'top condition' to help her should anything happen. Namely the Spectre. But I'm sure you'll be able to protect the girl and keep her from doing anything foolish. Correct."

Exo blinked. "Of course! I'd never let anything happen to my li- erm - to the current Creator. Though...I'm not sure how much she'll actually listen to me considering who's involved."

"I'm sure you'll think of something." the woman replied with a smile. "The Balancer shall accompany you for assistance."

Terragon blinked. "Now wait a minute. I can't-"

"They're gathered." the smaller blue girl announced.

The majority of those in the room looked back at her. Libran and Plutonis, however, already knew what the girl was referring to. "Your planet's 'Elders' have gathered in the private hall of your castle."

Plutonis sighed and suddenly looked sullen. "Suppose we'd better get over there then...."

"The oldest ones will already know..." Libran said quietly. "...others will have a feeling. But they'll all want to know exactly what happened to their children." he said, then sighed himself.

For a moment, the room became uncomfortably quiet. Then, unable to take the akwardness, Exo put a thin arm around Terragon and smiled. "Alright then. Sooner we get Cantata, the sooner we can get you both back, right?"
And with that, the two just...vanished.

Tsuritsa smiled lightly, then turned towards the two older gentlemen. "Alright. We've been asked to oversee what happens here. So, why don't we all head over before anyone does anything rash."

Plutonis nodded, then stood from his seat and moved into the back room. "Suppose I'd best make myself presentable, eh?"

With a flash of lavender light, the group that had been residing in Plutonis’s guest room appeared inside a large, grand hallway. What could be seen of it anyway. The large hall was dark…ominously so. The only light or sound that could be heard was muffled and dimmed behind a large stone door in front of the group. There seemed to be a lot of quiet commotion coming from the other side.
The women stood and watched the three men expectantly. They were the ones who had to be in charge for the moment, so they’d have to simply follow until they needed to speak. Plutonis stood dressed in a purple and green robe, and a jeweled and feathered wrap on his head. He straightened out his cloak, and sighed deeply. Clearly, this was not something that he wanted to do. At all. Libran looked back at the others a moment, his expression a bit grim in comparison to his usual no-emotion. With a heavy sigh, he turned and looked at the door.

They’d planned for something like this…they all knew how things would go if something like this happened. All of them knew. This should be a simple relay information, vote on a few things, then get everything straightened out. But…planning on something happening….and actually having the event happen….were two completely different things. Now to explain to his former colleagues why their children were dead. This wasn’t going to go smoothly. At least not easily. Some of them probably already knew, the rest of them didn’t have the power to know.

With a small grunt, he marched forward and pushed open the large doors.

He was immediately met with the bright light that had been blocked by the doors, and a sudden hush came over the chaotic commotion. The room was even taller than the hallway, and had even more grandeur. There was a very long, well decorated table in the center of the room, lined with chairs that were crafted very differently. Most of the people in the room were already seated, others were standing in small huddles, and some…apparently had yet to arrive.
Everyone…was staring at Libran, but no one made a sound.

Finally, someone standing to the right of the door did break the silence. “Well…should we start or wait?”
There stood a man with blue-gray skin wearing a black and blue outfit that seemed to be made from the night sky itself. His hair was black strips that ran along his head and twisted into purple and blue braids that were as long as his cape.
Beside him, with her hands curled around his arm, was a woman with pale white skin. She wore a dark lavender velvet dress that draped over one shoulder. The bottom of the dress faded into a dark glow that matched that of the large gemmed crown she wore in her faded purple hair. Her black eyes locked onto Libran’s for a brief moment, then over to her husbands. She seemed calm, but her dark lips were curled into a tight frown.

Libran hesitated a moment, then moved towards them. “Izel.” he said, nodding towards the man. “Emelda.”

“Libran.” Izel greeted. “So…some people have yet to arrive. Should we start? Many of us are…uneasy. Perhaps you should at least explain the situation better. Keep everyone calm.”

“Calm…” Libran repeated quietly. “Are they that-”

“Everyone knows that their children are dead because of an outside being. They also know that he came here for…vengeance? They don’t know what really happened, but most are pointing the blame at-”

“Well of course we’re pointing the blame!” a man at a table snapped. “Thorne was a troublesome seed when he was a child, and he never outgrew it! This is HIS fault!”

“No, it’s that being he made a deal with years ago. That’s why this happened!” someone else shouted angrily.

“It’s because of those stupid games! I told you all, didn’t I? We should have changed it years ago! But nooooo, we’re all traditionalists! It’s been done since-”

“My child NEVER promoted the games! She was one of the few who always voted against it. Why did SHE have to die?! Why did-”

“Everyone, please.” Libran called out, gesturing for everyone to quiet down. “Calm down. I’ll explain everything I know.” he said, glancing over to make Plutonis and the others had entered the room and moved to the corner.

“And why is your boy alive?” someone shouted, ignoring him.

“And the Creator? We can tell that they’re fine.” someone else shouted as the room returned to it’s humming roar of chatter.

“Yes, why are they the only ones that survived?”

“I’m telling you, it’s the Abolisher’s fault, He’s the one that-”

Suddenly the room fell quiet…..

Now standing in the doorway was a woman. Well, female being anyway. The woman’s skin and hair were a mix of brown, red, and black colors. Her ears were pointed and poked out through the tuffs of her hair. Two long, sharp horns curved around the back of her head. Her dress was simple and black, but the edges were torn and burn. The “shoes” she wore looked more like padding for her feet, as her clawed toes poked through them…the same for the gloves she wore over her hands.
Her black eyes looked about the room a moment, her black lips curled into an even grimmer frown than that of Emelda’s.

“Baara…” someone in the room whispered.

“Well?” she growled. “Why so quiet? Don’t stop talking about what a horrible person my dead child is just because I walked into the room.”

No one said a word.

Her black eyes looked about the room once more. They were completely calm, but had a grimness to them that frightened nearly everyone they rested on. Finally, they rested on the Balancer and Creators. Without bothering to look at anyone else, she walked straight towards them.

Before she could say anything, three figures in gold and black outfits and capes approached them. The woman of three had red skin and hair that must have the same color, if not darker at an earlier point in her life. Even the jewels in her crown seemed more vibrant and full of life. The man to her right had pale skin, long white hair that fell to his ankles, and a strong face that was now outlined with age. The other man had pale orange skin and large eyes that were heavily outlined in black. His hair, now as pale orange as his skin, was still neatly trimmed and combed. Even the sideburns that curled around his cheeks and thin beard were perfectly sculpted.

“ Perhaps, we should all take our seats and discuss things before there‘s another uproar.” the woman said, her golden eyes moving over towards the table.

“Not that I think anyone will now that…more of the elder counsel is here.” one of the other men added.

Another woman approached the group, this one donned completely in green. Her dress was a ripple of green fabric and jeweled feathers. Her skin was light green and dotted with darker freckles. A green flower was wrapped in her long green locks of hair that had lost its vibrancy and luster long ago. Hazy, faded blue eyes looked from one former god to the next.

"The...remains have been taken care of. Shall I help continue with that, or would you rather I stay here now, Libran?"

"Still haven't recovered the remains of my son, have you?" Baara said quietly, an angry undertone to her voice.

The woman said nothing.

"Baara, please, have a seat, and I'll discuss things with you personally in a moment." Libran said quietly.

"I know you will." she growled. "I have things to discuss with you as well. Concerning your son."

Plutonis hesitantly approached Libran and Baara. ”Perhaps we should simply get things started. Those who are not here can be filled in as they arrive.”

Libran looked back at Plutonis, then nodded. “Yes, that would be for the best.” he replied, then turned back towards the fuming woman. “Baara, I will speak to you about everything. But it will have to wait until we get things settled out with everyone else. We need to keep things as calm as we can.”

The red skinned woman’s black eyes bore into the former Balancer’s for a long moment, then she turned and stormed down the room. Everyone in her path moved out of her way entirely, watching as she marched up to a particular chair a the end of the table that was scorched and bent despite the cleanliness and care the rest of the room had. Without pausing to look down at the chair, or run her fingers over the imprints her husband has left across the ends of the armrest, the woman pulled the chair out and swiftly took a seat. She sat straight in the seat, gripped the end of the arm rests where her husband’s imprints still lay, and stared straight down the table as though she owned the title of the Abolisher herself.

Libran waited for another moment, then glanced over to Izel and Emelda, giving them a small nod. The two nodded a little uneasily back, then walked down the room towards their own seats. Everyone else took the hint and moved to find their own seats. Each former title holder taking their place across their opposite. Izel pulled out his old chair right across from Baara and carefully sat down. Emelda sat down on a cushioned seat behind him against the wall.
Libran moved to his own seat, but didn’t pull it out to sit down in. He placed a hand on the back of his chair, and made himself comfortable standing. He would probably be doing a good bit of the talking, so it would be more appropriate to stand so that he could be heard and seen. He glanced briefly at the empty seat across from him, then turned his attention over to the large group of former counsel members. Everyone was much older than they used to be…he’d have to speak loudly. Or ask one of the Creators for something to help him.

ENTER from Surrounding Areas of Gotham

Exo, Terragon, and Cantata reappeared within the Balancer’s secret sanctuary hidden deep within one of the planet’s sacred mountains. Burr, who had been occupying his time with the stash of movies and music, jumped when the three appeared so suddenly. He whirled around to face them, and relaxed instantly upon recognizing them. “Jeeze, you guys have GOT to start knocking.”

“No, you’re just jumpy.” Exo said with a large smile. “Better hope they name someone else as the Abolisher soon. You are not going to last long with that title.”

Burr frowned and made a face at the other being. “I never asked for this stupid job. I didn’t even want to replace Sho as the Chooser. Let alone this

“Trust me, you’re twice the man Thorn was just as you are.” Cantata grumbled, marching off towards another room of the underground complex.

Exo watched her leave with a frown. He hated to see his little Cantata this upset. He hated it even more that he couldn’t do a whole heck of a lot to make it better. Same for Alcina. Given half the chance, he’d be more than willing to kick X’s a** himself.

As Cantata disappeared from the room, Terragon inched towards Exo. “So…what was that you said a moment ago about Baara?”

“What about Abolisher’s mom?” Burr asked instantly.

Exo shifted a bit. “Well…no one’s happy that their kid or grandkid or whatever’s dead. They’re even less happy that you and Cantata are alive. No one’s really said anything about Zira…figure they didn’t really expect that she’d be killed or anything. So…it’s not just her. But she is kind of the angriest. I wouldn’t put it past her to leave and try to take care of the Spectre herself. I‘m…not entirely sure what she‘d do if she seen you guys.”

Terragon shifted uncomfortably. “Is…Father talking to her?”

“He’s addressing everyone right now. So…no, not yet.” Exo replied.

“Has she said anything about me?” Burr asked.

“No, but I figure she won’t approve at all of you taking her son’s place.”

“Let her know that I do NOT want this job! She can give it to whoever she wants. I don’t care!”

Exo grinned a bit. “I’ll put in a good word for you or something. In the meantime, should someone go and try to talk to Cantata? Or…should we just leave her be? I mean she did leave the last time she was left alone.”

Terragon hesitated for a moment, then looked back at the doorway. “…I suppose I’ll go and…check in on her.” he replied, then turned and walked off to find her.

Quite suddenly, a voice spoke from over Terragon's shoulder. There was no sign of the speaker... aside from a pair of bright black eyes. "What'cha dooooing?"

Terragon froze before he'd made it halfway down the hall. It only took him a second to realize who it was, and he had to resist the urge to sigh or...ugh.
"I'm going to try to talk to Cantata. We really don't need her trying to do anything again." he replied calmly.
