Well, according to Wookiepedia, the "Galactic Timeline" is divided up into Eras. Now, theres key-events in each Era, like the Battle of Yavin, The Dark Nest Crisis, the Sith-Imperial War, ect. that make each point in time unique. Now, usually around war-time are there big jumps in technology, so if we set the "Technology Cap" around a battle or Era change, we'd have a nice little bookmark for reference.

I was actually thinking of having a situation where the rebels use a small amount of clone wars surplus weapons such as the AT-TE.

Moondoggy81 I was actually thinking of having a situation where the rebels use a small amount of clone wars surplus weapons such as the AT-TE. Wouldn't that be a bit of a bad thing for the Rebellion, they rely on Hit & Run tactics most of the time and an AT-TE is a large piece of heavy ordinance which would pretty much get them ******** over in no time by an Imperial Army.

If its before a certain point in history, I don't see why not? So long as you're not rebuilding the Death Star in a Clone Wars period or bringing out the YZs in the Jedi-Sith Wars, I see no problem. Might be antiquated for certain periods, but then again the Rebels did start off with stolen Imperial caches of weapons. Maybe they got their hands on some out-mods or something too. Better than suggesting Proto-Sabers. xDD

Better than suggesting Proto-Sabers. xDD I think that if the Rebellion will really be more of a Galactic Alliance than it was in the films and have large scale operational forces, it would make more sense to have legitimate military machines however outdated, the AT-TE's main gun is also capable of breeching the armor on an AT-AT.

Okay, as posting has seemed to have slowed a bit, I'm gonna take a crack at posting a culmination of the key points here into an RP layout and story. I was quite inspired today, and have got most of it figured out. Just have a few fine points to iron out, so it should be posted later on tonight, or tomorrow morning at the latest.
That doesn't mean stopping posting any more ideas. We want more!
