Kami looked up, yawning a little, and stood up so she wouldn't have to yell, stepping to the entrance of the Forge. "Oh, that'll be just fine! And perhaps a drop of honey, if you can spare any?" she asked, rubbing a sleepy eye with one hand. She'd nearly begun to take a nap out in the warm sun.
Keanu ran out with his object, smiling, to tell Kami what Rahujo had done.

Rahujo emerged from the forge with two large mugs of tea. The mugs were somewhat the worse for wear - hairline cracks and the occasional chip - but they contained steaming honey-sweet tea, and that was what counted from Rahujo's point of view.
She handed one to Kami and sat herself down, sipping on the strong, sweet liquid.
(( I think I'm gonna have to go now xp It's 2am and I need to get up at a sane time tomorrow. You could either make a finishing post, or we could conclude tomorrow if you like. Thanks for the RP, twas fun 3nodding ))

Kami smiled, taking the cup gratefully. "Thanks!" she said, and sipped carefully. It was a rather hot day, but the tea was still very good. Kami chuckled and listened as Keanu relayed each of Rahujo's actions to her in an excited voice. "We'll have to try that when we get home, huh?" she said, finishing the last of her tea. She stood up, setting ehr cup on the tree stump. "Thank you very much for having us, Rahujo, it was a pleasure to see you." she nodded her head. "It'll be getting late, we need to get going. Thank you again, for the tea, and the gift." she said, and tucked the cleaving knife into her bag.
Keanu got up and ran to hug Rahujo gently, smiling widely. "Thanks Rahujo!" he said, and picked up his pestle and mortar before running to catch up with Kami, waving before they were lost from site down the path.
((x3 agreed! That was very fun. What a wonderful first day Keanu had as a child n.n))

Early afternoon...
Eyes screwed up against the brightness of the fire, Rahujo plunged her workpiece into the forge, withdrew it, and dipped it into the quenching trough. A cloud of steam shot up and surrounded her, then disappeared, burnt away by the searing heat of the flames in the hearth.
She laid the metal rod on the anvil, the dark grey stone lit a baleful orange in the light cast from the hearth's small doorway, and raised her hammer.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Drawn out and flattened, the metal went back into the fire for another annealing. Rahujo carefully rested the tongs on the hearthstone, and leant back against the anvil, wiping sweat from her brow with one calloused hand, waiting for the metal to re-heat.

Ieyasu started down the path to the forge, a slender bamboo staff balanced on one shoulder. He glanced around himself for a moment, his pale gaze thoughtful. There was no harm in asking afterall. He looked around for Osu, spotting the little ghostly shape a little way off to the left. Grinning, he called out to the wisp. "Come on then. We're nearly there."
Osu darted about happily, weaving around Ieyasu. He never strayed too far though. He didn't want to leave the pretty green staff. It was special. Floating up beside Ieyasu, he tilted his head curiously. He could hear odd banging sounds coming from inside that building over there. What was making that noise? He moved on a little way ahead, stopping just before the door to wait for Ieyasu. He could just go in, of course. But he wanted to wait for his guardian (who was in charge of his staff). That staff was very important afterall.
When Ieyasu reached the door, he paused for a minute. Would he be disturbing anything if he knocked? Someone was doing something inside from the noise, anyway. After a moment though, he decided to just go ahead and knock. If his knock was answered, then he probably wasn't disturbing too much. Otherwise, he could just come back another time.

Rahujo wiped the sweat off her brow with a ratty brown towel, tossed it onto her workbench, and turned around. Someone was standing at the doorway, silhouetted against the bright sunshine outside.
She put down the tongs and shaded her eye with one hand, the figure resolving slightly into a tall, slender male carring a long staff.
Ieyasu? Heh. Well, I needed a break anyway...
The forge fire still blazing behind her, she left her work and ambled to the door.
"Afternoon. What can I do for you?"

As Rahujo came to the doorway, Ieyasu grinned. It had been a while since he'd seen the smith. "Hey Rahujo. I actually came to ask a favour of you, if that's ok.." He paused, his gaze questioning. Of course, Rahujo may not even want to or be able to. But there was no harm in asking, was there?
Osu floated up behind Ieyasu, peering into the forge curiously. It looked interesting in there! He wondered if it was some kind of unusual house. It was a noisy house anyway. Spotting Rahujo, the little wisp broke into a wide grin. He remembered this person! She had been in their house once, weeks ago. Cheefully, he waved at Rahujo.

Rahujo nodded, then grinned in return at Osu. "Hello, little gryph. You've grown a bit sinceI last saw you, trumpeting in my ear..." She turned back to Ieyasu. "What might this favour involve?"

Osu grinned widely at Rahujo, before moving to playfully clap his hands together. Only... his hands didn't stop when they met each other. They went through each other. Woah.. he could go through himself too?? Amused by this for a few moments, he then looked up and past Rahujo. He wondered what was through there, in that big warm house. Maybe he could go take a looksee! Sidling past Ieyasu, he edged closer to the doorway, hoping to see inside.
Ieyasu paused for a moment before answering. "Well.. Osu and I are looking to collect a few things. One of them is an anklet. Seeing as you're a metalworker, I wondered if you would have such a thing, or know where I could get one? We'd be really grateful if you could help." He stopped again, gazing at the large Aerandir. Of course, if Rahujo was able to help him, he'd need to return the favour at some point.

"Hmm. You're not the first person to ask, actually. Fae was here a little while ago, also looking for an anklet for her little one. A plain metal one, to be specific. Are you looking for something similar, or will just any anklet do?"
Amused, she kept her eye on Osu as the bouncy wisp drifted closer to the forge door. "Interested in the forge, are you? Would you like to come in and have a look around?"

"Ah, she did come here? She had asked me if I had one, but it's not something I have kicking about the house..." Pausing for a moment, Ieyasu then continued. "We're just looking for an anklet of any sort, really." He grinned at Rahujo. "Unless Osu is a lot fussier than I am, which I doubt somehow."
Staring over Rahujo's shoulder, Osu spun around excitedly as she offered to let him see inside. He was finding it easier and easier to understand what people were talking about. Before, most of the time gestures had been much easier to comprehend than the sounds that people made. But now he was starting to pick up on the meaning of more words.
Grinning, he nodded his head vigorously. He wanted to know what was in there!

"Mm. She seemed to be in rather a hurry, actually, so I gave her an admittedly rather plain anklet which I made quickly. If you were willing to wait a little while, I could make you something perhaps more attractive."
She gestured to Osu, and grinned. "Follow me, hm?"
Walking into the forge, she gestured around. "This is my home, the forge. Over there is the hearth, the fire - sometimes it's just called the forge itself. Wood and coal fed, bellows aspirated, hot enough to smelt metal at full heat - which it doesn't reach often, because that eats up fuel like nothing else.
"It's the reason this building is here - we dug the base of the hearth out of the ground when I was just young, and it was restored to something approaching working order. When I became mature enough to spend time away from my guardian, I made my home here, and eventually this building grew up around the hearth."
She smiled. "Perhaps you'll do something like that someday." She turned to Ieyasu. "What job was chosen for him?"

"Of course. I wouldn't want to rush you." Ieyasu smiled at the bison Aerandir. "Thank you. If there's anything I can do in return for you, just let me know, ok?" Glancing at the wisp, he grinned. If Rahujo was fine with it, then there wouldn't be any harm in letting him sate his curiousity. He paused just inside the doorway, listening as Rahujo began to show Osu the various parts of the forge.
With a delighted expression on his incorporeal face, Osu followed Rahujo. As she gestured towards the fire, his eyes grew as wide as saucers. Now, THAT was a big fire! He took off towards the hearth, stopping abruptly just in front of it. It was huge! Bigger than the bonfire that Ieyasu and Alyosha had even! A huge grin cracked his face as he examined the hearth. He approved of this forge. Very much so. He giggled, obviously pleased by something.
Ieyasu glanced at Osu by the hearth and back to Rahujo again as she directed the question towards him. He gave her a wry grin. "Spellcaster. The fire element to be specific. He's not very subtle about his appreciation of fire, is he?" With an amused smile, he glanced back to the excited little wisp again. At least he probably couldn't burn himself right now..

Rahujo snorted with laughter. "No, he really isn't. I was wondering whether perhaps he was a smith as well, interested in my equipment, but I guessed wrong. Well, he's welcome in here any day if he wants to stare at the flames."
As the two adults walked through the forge, Rahujo picked up pieces of material, considered them, put them down. Eventually, she seemed to come to a conclusion. "If you come back in two days, it'll be ready."

"Haha, ok. I'll remember that." Ieyasu said in response to Rahujo's first comment. His amusement died down a little as the smith continued. Nodding his head, he smiled to her. "Ok. We'll drop by again in a couple of days then. Thanks again!" Glancing over to the wisp by the hearth, he smiled. "Osu, are you coming? We should probably get home now. Rahujo said that you can come see the fire again." Looking back to the adult Aerandir, he nodded. "See you later, Rahujo."
Osu looked around at Ieyasu, his childish features taking on an expression of mild disappointment. He drew back from the fire, making his way back to Ieyasu. His pace could only be described as the floating equivalent of a trudge. He brightened a little as Ieyasu said that he could come back again to see Rahujo and the forge. That would be great! Smiling at the blacksmith, he waved energetically at her before following Ieyasu out. This was a fun visit! He really wanted to come back again.
