You have been mislead. What you think is Wicca, is not Wicca at all. You really DO need to be initiated to be a Wiccan, because ALL Wicca is conducted within one of these covens.

In fact hat website you have linked to looks like a very distressing bastion of ignorance. It lists several traditions of religious witchcraft that are not only not Wiccan, but would react with astonishment, horror or even rage that they have been called "Wicca" by this website, namely Cochrane's craft (Cochrane hated Gardner and iirc mocked Wicca) and Feri, as they don't even try to claim that they are at all Wiccan (unlike Dianic, some adherents of which seem confused and think they ARE Wiccan, which they are not). They are not Wiccan, they do not want to be likened to Wicca, and the fact that the owner of that website not only does not know this but against the wishes of these groups suggests that they are merely traditions of Wicca rather than very different religions in their own right is not only ignorant but offensive. It's like saying Baptists are Muslims. It's
worse, actually, than saying Baptists are Muslims because at least Baptists and Muslims worship the same god.
I mean the ******** DISGRACE of it. "These groups all follow the Wiccan Rede". Really? REALLY? No. Complete and utter bullshit. From the first page alone I would say that this website not only wouldn't know Wicca if you beat them to death with Gardner's own Book of Shadows, but don't know much at all about anything else either - if they think bloody Cochrane's craft is Wicca! And these are the leaders of the website! The members might be worse still - particularly if these people are putting themselves forward as some sort of
resource, or teachers!
Ugh. I'm sorry, but these people have either lied to you about what Wicca is, or they never knew themselves, which makes them poor people to learn from. We can discuss what Wicca is at length if you really want to, but I'm sure the discussion has been had in this subforum before.
I apologise for the rant. It's been that sort of day and I've been watching David Mitchell.
Essentially Wicca is an initiatory mystery religion for which the rituals and proper practice of said is very important. To know these rituals and properly practise this religion you must be initiated, because the rituals are secret - and if you don't practise the rituals properly, you're not a Wiccan, because the religion itself is more or less defined by those rituals. You can't do it alone, you can't do it 'eclectic', and all Wiccan covens can trace their initatory lineage back to Gardner.
