"You seem rather unafraid of that concept." Roxanna noted as they walked towards the SUV. She wondered briefly what the man at the desk must be thinking, but pushed the thought aside.

She climbed into the SUV after him, fastening her seat belt. "The last I heard from them, they were in an alley in the old side of Eva.Possibly by the street with line of bars." She held out her hand for the cup of water. "I can listen for them as we head in that direction."

"I wish I could tell you." Roxanna said. She took the water, being careful not to spill any as set it down in the cup holder, and slipped her hand inside. She closed her eyes, concentrating on finding them, while finding she had a difficulty hearing much of anything. Her brows narrowed as she pushed a bit harder.

Roxanna nodded, "I am, but no, I've never gotten tired using my powers before, at least not like this."

Roxanna gave him a guesstimated street corner to head for, then paused to consider his questions. "I've known for a long while, considering I developed my first ability when I was rather young. As for that? I've heard of some interesting ones, shapechanging, firestarters, strength. I've picked up rumors about a boy who supposedly stopped a car with his bare hands."

Roxanna shook her head, "Our job would be much easier if there was, wouldn't it? But no. The 'bad guys' as you call them, have a monopoly on the powers. They've been in St.Eva before the Coreys. But their eyes haven't been focused here, until the phenomenon."

Roxanna stopped talking a moment, the corner of her lip sharpening, "A hotel with a flamingo theme. We'll find them there."

"A year or so ago. Do you not remember? It was all over the news. People couldn't leave or enter the city for a day or two to make sure it wasn't some kind of attack." Roxanna undid the buckle of her seat, glancing out the window at the flamingo hotel. The sign itself was a giant pink flamingo with an overwhelmingly large beak that for some odd reason creeped Roxanna out. "Classy?"

Basking in the sun, a tall man watched people with a hungry gleam. Don Krieger was sprawled on a park bench, just pissing people off with the sheer magnitude of his presence. It's not every day that someone can look at you and you can easily imagine them eating you and enjoying it. He smirked at a girl that was passing by and recieved a "Creep!" in return. He scowled. Sometimes I wish humans weren't such ***holes. He flicked his tounge out from between his lips absentmindedly, a decidedly snake like manouvre accentuated by the fact that the tounge was half a foot long, forked, and a dark black color.
