Kat headed towards the parking lot, but paused by the clerk's desk. "You tell a soul about me being here, give out a damn description, or give info on anything or anyone else related to me, and I will tell your wife about Shannon."
The clerk visibly paled. And Kat continued her trek to Jarred's SUV, after messing with the key a bit to find the right vehicle. "Food will be good. We may also need some supplies if we intend to head out in different directions."

Eulalia Danae Roxanna let out a sigh and followed after Rook. "I hadn't thought it was either. But I suppose I should have come to expect this." "Come to expect what, Kat? We're all in it to stop them. Now we ACTUALLY have a chance of doing SOMETHING to them. It's not just gonna be us pissing our lives away and they still keep doing their thing. This isn't bad, Kat. We just need to work together."

"Yes, Kat." Roxanna shook her head, "I didn't say it was bad, but it is what I should have expected." Roxy followed after Kat, getting into the SUV also. "I don't think you know where to drive, Kat, you may want to give Jarred back his keys."

Jarred took the keys, smiling. "Maybe you're just not good enough a kisser." He climbed in, unlocking it so everyone else could climb in.

Kat gave Jarred a snooty look, "I'm the best you've ever had and will ever get." She climbed into the back seat, glancing at Rook on her way in. "I'm fine, just tired."

ArynChris Before Ms. Sven left for her own work that day, she stopped at the Rickets' and slid an envelope under the door. Inside was a check for several hundred dollars and a brief note:
Dear Pan,
I'd like to apologize for my daughter's experiments with dynamite. I know this doesn't cover the cost of replacing your wall and replacing any ruined personal items, but please accept it as the first payment of many on her behalf. If I remember the law correctly, Mina will be spending at least 4 months in Juvenile Hall. If charges are not pressed... she'll instead be spending all her free time working a job to pay off the repairs and compensate you for the damage.

Mina did not go to school that day. She took her backpack to Ms. Cross, along with her homework and everything else that had been in it... including her picture of Dad. Ms. Cross reached through the door with a shaky hand, giving the teen a reassuring pat on the shoulder.
Instead of school, Mina played hooky down at the beach. After work, Pan made note of the letter slid under the door and let out a long sigh. She read it a second time, then glanced at Peter. "Looks like we owe Mina an apology." She started heading towards the Sven's apartment. She wasn't about to let Mina take the blame over something she didn't do, even if it took a long and awkward explanation.

With Lou watching over the recovery operations at Roxanna's home, Marcus had seized this as an excuse to patrol his Guard outposts around the city for any signs of Roxanna hiding at any of them. This given time, he was observing one of the higher traffic locations downtown.

It wasn't too difficult to find some people who'd thought they'd seen Roxanna walking in strange clothes next to a man and his dog. Though, with the news of her house having been blown up, with only a few bodies collected, and unidentified, it didn't seem likely.

"I so need more smoke breaks than just two..." Olivia muttered, chewing on the cap of her pen. Her shift was over in about a half hour, but she was still antsy. Not being a very good people person, happening to cover for the gal who normally ran the visitor's desk at one of the most busiest Guard locations was aggravating enough, but only two smoke breaks?
Staring at the exit longingly, she rested her forehead in her palm, "I'm not being nice anymore."
