Hao turned away from him "theres only one thing I want and its the same thing I have wanted every year since I became and orphan and thats the pictures of my dead family out of my mind." he said softly crying a bit "they died on christmas day due to my grandmother trying to remove the curse. She was, i guess, esentric and also knew magic yet she wasnt powerful enough to remove the curse or if she was she didnt know how to remove it and so she gathered up all the family on christmas day and would of basically said that this was our gift, finally getting the curse removed, and performed her magic but it must have clashed with the power of the curse, the curses magic must of been stronger then hrs or a different type and that was stronger then hers and killed the ones around the person who tried to get rid of the curse.
I never was around as I had unfinished business to atend to with a gang i used to be with and so I wasnt home, I came home to find my family dead, my auntie who arrived must have known what her mother had done and told me. I never cared about it then, but as i tried to get over that bad patch in my life I realised how much I really did miss them and so now, with christmas, all I have are the memories my grandmother killing my family and its haunted me ever since" he said softly crying a little harder, never looking foward to this time of year dispite how much he did enjoy christmas just that this part stayed with him no matter how much he tried to forget it

Now that was a bad memory. Losing your family on christmas day. Well, he wouldn't exactly care if he'd lost his family on christmas day. They disliked each other with a passion anyway. But that was him. " Well. We'll have to find someway of getting other pictures into your head. Happier ones. If only for a little while. Everyone should be allowed to enjoy christmas." Chi said, placing a kiss on his forehead. The only good memory he had of his family, was his mother before she was taken from him. That was the same day he vowed he'd never be weak and lose anyone again. Carefully, a hand moved to his cheek, thumbs gently wiping away his tears. " James and I will make sure you have a great christmas..."

Hao sniffed a little and looked up at him "I have already begun to have the greatest christmas ever but still the closer it gets to the actual day...the memories...they are horrible." He said softly as he kissed the foxes hand that was wipping away the tears "thank you, that means alot to me" he said as he got up and softly pressed his lips agiesnt his mates and deeply and passionatly kissed him, wraping his arms around the foxes back and not wanting to let him go.

" Well then ... the closer it gets to the actual day ... the more I'll try and take your mind off it ... " Chi said, thumb gently brushing across the mers lip, before moving back to wipe the remainder of the tears away. The fox returned the kiss just as passionatly. Now he found it easier to show how he felt about the mer. Arms snaked themselves around Hao's waist and shoulder to keep him close. Fingers gently rubbing his back and shoulder to try and cheer him up.

Hao had forgotten his train of thought, he always did when he kissed the fox as it was just pure bliss, he pulled away several moments later and smiled at the fox and held him close still. "Thank you my love, that means alot to me" he said and nuzzled his chest with his cheek and sighed "I guess this year I might just be able to forget the memories after all, I mean, I do have you and James in my life now unlike before so maybe you two will just be what I need. People always seem to dwell on things when they are alone with nothing to do so maybe with now that you and James are in my life, I might just be able to get through this christmas without thinking of my family for once" he said drying a lone tear that fell from his eye away and kissed his mates chest before nuzling i again.

Once the kiss broke, the fox gently placed his head on the mers shoulder. Hand moved back to stroke Hao's hair. " I hope you'll be able too. A sad anthro around christmas just doesn't seem right. You'll have fun. Don't worry." Chi said, closing his eyes for a moment. " Thats good. I'm going to get you the best present ever." He said, wondering into thought about what could be brought for his mates.

Hao just kept hold of the fox and pondered what to get them both, the only thing he knew about the fox was that he liked to fight and flowers yet flowers died unless he could get Drake to to put some sort of spell on them so that they never died or lost their scent. However it did seem sort of lame and jewlery...well....there was an idea but Chi didnt seem like the one who would sport such a thing. Maybe something floral would be good? If so what? He had never shoped for others before...well...not in a long time anyway so he was a stranger to the idea of gifts to a certain extent. "I know you and James will help me, I trust in you both especially when I am also living with a family who cres for me, I am sure this year will be different which will be such a nice change" he said as he nuzzled his mate happily.

Chi sat there silently for a moment, eyes closed and he was still in thought. Buying or finding something that someone else would like. It certainly was different from shopping for family. After living with the others fo so long, he knew what each liked. Or disliked in some cases. " Your surrounded by those that care for you ... I hope you'll be fine." He said, nuzzling his cheek into the mers neck for a moment. " Hmm. I'm useless at shopping .... " He muttered.

Hao burst out laughing. "First off I will be i swear" he said as he calmed down a little and kissed his mates forehead "and second of all, so am i. Would you like me to just give you some money to go buy something yourself? Or we could go shopping together and let you pick something out that you want and I will buy it for you" he offered as he calmed down alot now. "I dont mind either way, I just thought i would see what you think thats all" he said he nuzzled his mates neck.

" Good." Chi said, snapping out of his thoughts. Thinking it over for a moment, the fox decided it might be best if they went shopping together. At least that way, if Hao saw something he liked, then he'd know what to buy. " Lets go together. " He said, slowly getting himself into the christmas spirit. " I can get Lu's present whilst I'm out too ... " The fox said, knowing easily what to get the demon. " But what would James like ?"

"I would like that, it will be fun to go shopping together though I hate to say this but I dont know. I mean it was only like 3 or 4 days that he and I started dating that i basically meet you and started flirting with you so im a tad bit lost in what to get him as well. I guess we could always just get him vouchers from a department store and let him decide on what to get. I mean at least the department store has everything so he might find something he likes if he went shopping some time. Though it is just one idea i guess...." he said biting him lip a litle wondering what he would like.

" It will." Chi said, then slowly lifted his head from Hao's shoulder. " I see. Well... I guess store vouchers would be a good idea." He said, rubbing the back of his head slightly. " Much better than taking a wild guess and getting it completely wrong." Falling silent for a moment, the fox glanced back to the lake. " So. When shall we go shopping ?"

"I dont know when to go shopping to tell you the truth though i suspect soon since christmas is nearly upon us. I dont mind when we go, just pick a time and date and we will make a day of it since I need to pick up stuf for 14 others at the Estate so I definatly need to get shopping done soon. We can have lunch, maybe get in a movie and just shop, it will be a fun day for us if we leave early enough" he said as he looked up at his mate and smiled "but as i said, its up to you to pick the date and if you want to do that" he said to the fox.

Chi thought for a moment. Christmas was just around the corner now. Under two weeks away. " Perhaps we should go this weekend." The fox said thoughtfully. " And lunch and a movie does sound like a day to be enjoyed... " FLicking his tail slightly, the fox smiled and looked to him. " How about this weekend ? I should be able to manage that. You ?"

"That sounds perfect" he said happily as he got out of the lake "I just dont know whats playing thats all but I am sure we can sort that out when we arrive at the mall, anything in mind you wish to see?" he asked thinking of a couple of things he wished to see but he would go to what the fox wanted to see, he could see his two movies later.
