Lestat was a bit bewildered. He'd kept to himself mostly at the castle, not really participating much after his traumatic experience between Kita and Azmodeus. He wasn't willing to have a repeat performance of that little night terror again, not by any means conceivable. But, he was a bit surprised to be back in the light world, to look around and see the sights he'd seen so briefly when he'd first come here an again when he'd come for a mission that had ended in vain mostly. Ah well, make the best of things, and now that he was back he was back on the quest of finding the ever elusive dark child of his.

He wondered for a moment, as he wandered this new festival, if she'd even want to see him. She HAD tried to kill him.....twice. You'd really think someone would learn the lesson the first time, but Lestat had always been a glutton for punishment from those he adored. Walking swiftly through the crowd, he saw a vaguely familiar face. Or at least thought he did.....wasn't that one of Valkon and Loa's children? He'd heard talk drift through the castle before, even bottled up in his ballroom like a hermit, about Loa pulling a crazy Loa-like act and stealing some of Valkon's essense to make children. Three of them apparently. He wondered if he could do that some day. It was something interesting to put in the back of his mind for later.

Either way, for now he was simply walking over to the child that resembled his father so much, Hawke, if he remembered correctly. The third child had run off to god knew where, but the only daughter Valkon had was unfortunately being raised by Loa herself. The child would undoubtedly be insane. Walking up to Hawke and the small group he was with, he smiled, his fangs peeking out over his lips as he practically radiated content and mischief.

"Well well well......so the little Hawke has flown away from the rest of the flock, hm? Where's daddy? More importantly where's your mother so I can avoid her at all costs....." he laughed jovially, his nine tails swishing back and forth as his supernatural eyes glistened. He was enjoying playing with the little poltergeist. He didn't even know if the poor child knew who he was, god only knew Lestat wasn't around very much, even knowing his parents in a very abstract way.

Quanitela shifted her attention between the Violet Yokai and 'The Watcher' Something about him was odd and eerie though She herself didn't care to go up to the Goddesses spokes person. As the conversation continued on she listened intently quite aware of the White fey hovering at her side still clinging onto her in an embrace. However soon enough there heated discussion was over the the watcher disappeared. That was when Davenya's little grasp left her waist. Then soon after her Friend Davenya was running off excitedly. The little child like Fey would soon enough involve herself in her own sort of miny adventure as she always had before.

Quanitela's tail seemed to sway back and forth to some beat that was played in the distance. Then before she knew what was going on the crowd of humans were cheering and fireworks lit the sky in a conglomeration of colors. Pinks and red, Oranges and yellow, greens and purples, blues and whites. They were pretty as the burst out from they're little paper like casings. Things going boom were always loud and entertaining. Quanie rubbed her face gently. Her face paint stayed in place despite her rubbing which was good. It never seemed to come off. even when she would actually get water on it. It could fade and such but it would still mostly be there and later Quanie would just plaster more atop her face ensuring that she always had the white markings. Her little hand came up to her new found scarf. It was said to be one of the elemental scarf the one of air. She was curious as to who else had such a scarf but she wasn't to worried about it. Curiously she began to wander the crowd for something that interested her.

Hawke shrugged at Alnara. "I've never been born so I have no idea what a princess is. Does it make a difference?" he asked. He grinned at Chief and nodded. "Dad would probably like to talk to you. Your tail reminds me of that one skeleton my Dad was working on. He said it was a snake and your tail kind of reminds me of it.

Before he could say anything more, another yokai walked up and began talking. Hawke frowned for a moment as he watched him. "I don't know you, but if you know my dad then you were in the castle with us. And..." he grinned suddenly. "as for my psycho momma and crazy sister, I've not seen them at all. I'm hoping they don't find us here. But Dad went off to do something. He said that Chronos and Lord Azmodeus were still trapped on the dark side. I think he plans to do something about it. He was plenty angry about it."

Touma nodded to Davenya. "I've just been helping as things empty. Putting more bottles or shiny things on the tables. I think some of the people are glad for the help. More people seem to be coming here now that the fireworks have gone off. Most are looking at the games and food."

He thought for a moment. "There was a woman complaining earlier about moving some boxes and I moved a few of them for her, but there was only a little space left. She might need help. It was the small tent on the left. We could check there and see if there's more room to move the rest of the boxes closer for her."

Lestat nodded in understanding, thanking his lucky stars that Azmodeus hadn't warranted an invitation to this side. The man truly scared Lestat for his ferocious jealousy over Kita. And he hadn't even really LIKED Kita even, and Az had still seen it fit to almost maul him to death.....again. Not that he remembered dying the first time. He'd have to think on that later. Note to self, add that to the list of 'To Dos' and then find out if I can take Louis with me somehow.

With a sigh, he soffed softly at the smell of humans. Tasty, delectable humans he was no longer allowed to feed on. Or at least that was the rules of the spirit world. No consumption of blood as it was too dangerous. Oh how he loathed that little loophole that controlled vampires from immortal prey. But he snapped his attention back to Hawke with a fanged smile and a playful wink.

"Smart as a whip, aren't we? Yes, it's true I lived at the castle during our dark times. As for your mother and poor unfortunate sister.....I must say I share your sentiments.......a shame though, that Chronos was left behind as well......he didn't seem like a bad sort really. Well! If your father intends to do something, he can count on me for much more active support than I've given recently......just tell him the Vampire Lestat is in his corner if he ever need find me, since I'll be on a quest of my own soon in this world," he nodded, ruffling the boy's hair affectionately, much like he used to tease Louis and Armand. Hawke seemed like a good, albeit naive, boy. At least he had some sanity to his name, praise god and Valkon for that.

Davenya nearly jumped happily as he spoke about being able to actually have a friend to help her and such. Which brought to her mind a question. "Will you be my friend?" Davenya spun happily. She felt like dancing but she didn't. Just then a butterfly floated by and she watched it go intently. Then she shook her head softly and returned her attention to the Charm Dragon. She pointed her thumb at herself. "I'm Davenya. I think we should go help out that lady. Davenya giggled and shifted on her feet.

Davenya looked back and forth as the found herself being distracted in thought. She thought about David. A deep frown made it's way across her face as she thought about him. Him being back wasn't good. It couldn't be good at all. She then sighed and looked back at the charm dragon and grinned happily awaiting what was to come next.

Percy charged through the crowd, unknowingly getting closer to someone he very much wanted to find. However, fate inserted her hand, for the man with the pocket watch appeared down a side street. With a cry of triumph, the clomping yokai veered his path, leaving humans behind him glancing about inquiringly for the source of the heavy footsteps. The fact that they only smiled indulgently escaped him, and wouldn't have mattered much to the little ghostling anyway.

The human he pursued was of the fat, self-important sort. He seemed to be currently overseeing the set up of a line of stalls. He spent much time puffing and pointing and shouting, but very little time actually doing anything. Percy snuck up close, keeping his steps muffled by moving slow. The glitter of the chain reflected in his eyes and sent shivers down all his tails. Shiny! Paw-like hands reached up, up, gently siezing the chain and lifting the watch ouf ot the blustery man's vest pocket.

Mezmerized by the gleam of moonlight on metal, he wasn't at first aware of a child watching him with round eyes. Or rather, watching the 'floating' watch. The man, however, did notice the child's amazed stare, and patted himself to see if something was out of place about his person. Of course this proved his pocket was empty of it's contents, and he looked down with a shout to see it floating lazily in mid-air, the chain still attatched to a buttonhole by a bar.

The yell brought Percy back to his senses, and he gave a jerk on that fine chain. It ripped the cloth of the man's vest, eliciting an outraged roar. Not all ghosts were fun and friendly! Percy couldn't help but cackle as he ran as fast as his boots would carry him, back down the street and away from the hullabaloo he'd caused.

"Alright. I'll tell him, Lestat. I'm sure he's causing trouble for someone. He was angry enough about Uncle Chronos not being here." Hawke replied, smiling at the yokai. He'd have to get his dad to explain to him later what a vampire was.

He glanced over at the others sitting there with him. "I wonder what's going on. Haven't heard any trouble yet."

Tai watched Lestat closely for a moment but as Hawke seemed eased with him once he understood who he was, the lore simply remained silent. Such strange ghostlings and so many. He'd only run into Touma before he had gotten to the town. But as that thought slipped down over him, he wondered where the ghostling was. He had forgotten all about him and frowned slightly. When Valkon returned, he might go back to look for him.

Touma watched Davenya for a moment. "I suppose we could be friends. I don't know where my other friends are right now. And Tai seems to have followed after that purple tailed yokai for some reason."

He led her over to the back door of the shop nearby. "This lady has the tent right in front." Touma glanced over at the table where she was selling things as well as playing games with some children. The prizes were half empty. "I'll move the boxes closer and you put the shinies on the table for her."

The older woman was sitting in a chair, but the boxes around her were all empty. She sighed. Soon she'd have to stop the games and move the items closer again. It was her fault. She should have gotten some help for the night, but it was far too late now.

Priscilla had watched everything transpire with a rather uninterested eye. What did she care for worshipping goddesses she didn't know? Still, it did look like a bit of fun. The humans were clearly enjoying themselves. She nibbled on the tips of her hair for a bit, watching the activity around her. The ghostlings seemed to ahve scattered hither and yon, leaving her standing there on her own. Frowning faintly, she determined that this was not acceptable.

As the fireworks began, she spread her wings and ascended gracefully into the air. Too many humans were crowding around, she couldn't see what everyone else was up to. She spied the fierce yokai entity perched on a tower with that creepy guy called the Watcher. She wrinkled her nose. Such doings were not for the likes of her.

But there, over there, just beyond an old human female. There was that charm dragon with the intriguing mask/hat! A fey girl with black pigtails was with him, and they were doing... something. Well, that had to be better than lingering around with noone to talk to. She flitted over at a sedate pace, floating above the croawd of humans. When she neared then, she lowered herself and touched ground with booted feet. "Hello again," she said socially, bobbing her head at them both. "What are you doing?" What they were doing looked entirely too much like work for the likes of her, but then, the humans couldn't do it all, now could they?

Percy scooted through the crowded square, pausing back by the fountain again in order to examine his newest shiny. The fireworks overhead cast shimmery lights across the gleaming surface, highlighting the raised image of a single peaked mountain, craggy and rugged. With raised brows and a careless shrug, he pressed the latch to flip it open. Inside the watch ticked faithfully, pointing to numbers to indicate time, though the little yokai had never learned to tell time as a living child. To him, the fanciful arrows were just a pretty ornament on his aquisition. But inside the lid was a strange engraved symbol.

Peering at it with a puzzled frown, he crossed his legs underneath himself on the rim of the fountain. It was an odd image. A coiled rope rose straight up to attatch itself to a lock that appeared to be hanging in midair. He ran his ghostly thumb across it, his tails waving behind him in agitation. Somehow it meant something... or should. It bothered him much more than the scribbles that he knew were called numbers on the face of the watch. Gnawing his lip, he realized this shiny needed a safe place, a way to hide it but keep it close to him. It was time to find something to carry it in. Determined, despite the non-shiny nature of his quarry, he rose to his feet and began scanning the crowd.

Alnara chuckled,"You don't know what a princess is? Oh yes, that is right...you were just born after all. It's okay,it's not really that important though I guess...cause i'm not important anymore. I am a 'has been' princess. Anyway,a princess is pretty much just the daughter of a king and queen, who are the rulers of a land to put it simply." As Alnara talked to Hawke about what a princess was, another ghostling,a yokai that looked like trouble approached the three of them and singled out Hawke. Alnara listened silently to the ghostling, who introduced himself as Lestat talk to Hawke. He seemed to act really rudely to Hawke, saying mean things about his mother.
Alnara interjected into the conversation,"Excuse me,Mr.Lestat,I suggest you be kinder to my friend Hawke if you know what's good for you...' Alnara glared at him,a sort of threatening tone to her voice. He really didn't want to mess with a pirate...

Davenya grinned happily. She had a new friend and that was the best thing she could get as far as she was concerned. At least he said he didn't see why they couldn't be friends. Davenya wiggled in excitement as he told what was going on and such. She was excited that she had the chance to help out with the little children. After he told her how she could help she eagerly decided to start helping setting out the shinies. As she set about to her little task she seemed unaware of the new charm dragon at first. She hadn't even noticed her till she began to speak.

Davenya continued to set out the little shiny prizes till she heard the new ghostling begin to speak. She turned her head to look at the pretty new Charm dragon that arrived. Davenya looked at her in full curiosity. She was fancy looking in her cute outfit. Davenya looked down to her own exposed fur and sighed. She wore no fancy or pretty clothes and she felt off around the heavily clothed girl. Then Davenya looked back up grinning. "We are helping this nice lady with her game for the little children. The so like the shiny prizes and she needs are help." Davenya happily bobbed her head after her response and began to continue setting out the prizes. "You should help us it is so much fun to play with the shinies."

Much to his amazement, it wasn't long before Percy stumbled almost literally across what he was looking for. A pouch attatched to a belt was laying in plain sight. He stared at it, then looked around at the humans walking around it. They passed it by without a glance. He watched their faces, looking for someone who appeared to me searching for the missing item. Nothing! Mystified, he clomped over to it, bent down, and picked it up.

Two things happened at the same time. Firstly, he realized the pouch was by no means empty. In fact, it felt quite heavy! But at the same exact moment, a shout nearby attracted his attention. A red-faced man was barreling at him, waving his fists and howling, "THIEF!" Now normally this was something the little klepto yokai was used to. But for once, he had not been stealing! So startled was he that he forgot the man couldn't see him, only the floating pouch. He gave a frightened squeal, clutched the pouch too tight, and took off down the street. The clasp on the front of the pouch broke, leaving a trail of bouncing, rolling coins behind him. For once in his life, Percy cared nothing for the shinies and merely clung to the leather pouch, fleeing for his afterlife.

Hawke stared at Alnara, frowning at her for what she said to Lestat. "Lestat is right. My momma is a psycho witchdoctor and my sister is as crazy. Fosull helps her with that voodoo junk. I much prefer my dad." Why was she behaving like that? Was it because she thought she was a princess still? He was suddenly sure that he didn't want to be a princess.

Turning his attention to Chief, he said, "My dad and I had our own rooms at the castle. The library had all the books I could want. My Dad was teaching me to read. And we have this huge table..." he spread his arms way out in indication. "full of bones. Dad was putting together skeletons of different animals. It's lots of fun helping him. And then the crows and rats bring him things too. Sometimes colored stones or plants. Even silver cups and things."

The lore bristled slightly as he listened to the conversation. Lestat did not seem one to mess with and he was sure that Alnara was going to get herself into trouble. He hoped Valkon would return soon and explain what he needed to do other than protect Hawke. He was sure there was some way he could help.

Touma glanced up at the question, smiling when he saw Priscilla. "Hello again, Priscilla. This is Davenya. You can help us. I'm moving boxes over here and she's putting the shinies on the table." He was happy to see the other charm dragon for some reason. She seemed at a loss of what to do as Davenya had been. One thing he had been able to do was make decisions in the Nightwhispers. As their leader, it had been up to him to ensure that everything was done when it needed to be and that everything was there to work with.

"I think when we are done helping her a bit, we might move on to the tent over there." He pointed across the way. "Food. And they always seem to need plates and cups set up." Touma placed a box in front of Priscilla so that she could help put the shinies out.

The old woman stared in surprise for a moment, but then laughed. "Well, even if I cannot see you, thank you for helping." She glanced at the children to see their faces lit in wonder as the toys and other rewards were carefully placed on the table next to her. The festival was a success.

He had just found the ruins of an old tower near town and begun to explore it when he was blinded. Kael'thas blinked several times as he tried to look around. Where was he? And who had done this to him? Was it something to do with the tower? What had he intruded upon? He had still not found any of his people and he worried for them, a frown slipping over his face. His brow furrowed more as he looked about himself.

In the center of town. A festival of some sort. He sighed, shaking his head. Oblivious to anything else going on around him, Kael suddenly noted the bottles scattered about. Empty bottles of all sorts of shapes and colors. His eyes narrowed thoughtfully as he moved forwards to inspect a few. He picked on up to inspect it though the human woman next to him started in surprise at the sight of a floating bottle beside her.

Kael never noticed as he looked the glass over for cracks and chips. His potions needed to be put into something but he did not want them leaking into each other and causing more problems. This one was chipped at the top and he dropped it to the ground before moving towards several others lying in the corner. His eyes caught sight of brightly colored bottles as well as plain clear glass ones. Some had cork stoppers in them and others did not, but had lids that clamped on. Others were simply open with wide mouths and narrow ones. He smiled faintly. There were all shapes and sizes and he was suddenly quite certain that he would be able to get what he needed.

Perhaps he would find something more useful than bottles here even though he was annoyed at his sudden appearance in a place he did not know well. Maybe he should magic something to put them in. Afterall, Kael did not plan to carry them back one or two at a time.
