Well obviously. There is a place a ways away that is run by Mixed Breeds. You Pures are the treated as the "mutants" there. I get paid for each Pure I bring there. Girls fetch for slightly more then boys, and I don't want to carry two people again, so I chose only you. Well, I suppose I could just take the boy if you wanted. I wonder what she'll pick. She seems pretty stubborn, and maybe she'll be too stubborn to throw him to the wolves.

I'm walking over to you now. Mane picks Mena up and throws her over his shoulder. Mane looks over at the boy. I don't think you heard what I said earlier. I can take him there instead of you if you say so.

Mane spends the night walking in darkness and silence to a village named Botan. After walking all night, Mane is forced to put Mena down. Pures can see now, so you'll need to walk on your own in case we are seen. You know, a Pures pays me a week's wage. I spend a day getting to a spot, a day leaving the spot, and a day hunting for a victim. I do it twice a week, and I'm already rather rich. Pures will pass by most likely, and if you make an attempt to alert them they will be killed. Well they won't because we don't want attention here, but she won't realize that.

So keep walking where you are heading. Thought the girl had more spunk than that. I guess spunk is a luxury to those who can afford it.

I don't control your auction, whoever you are sold to isn't my business. I get a check for dragging you here, and that is the last thing I have that associates me with you. The Mixed have our genes combined with other animals. You'll see many different Mixed in the village. As far as we know its just an evolutionary mimicry, that makes us your superior probably. However we hold ourselves as equals to you as a broadcast, and this is our rebellion.

Mane smiles. Compliments won't get you free, money will. And since you don't have 1000, no 1500 gold, I'm afraid you're stuck. And don't beg that you'll do favors or say that you know a rich person. I'm just 22 Pures away from having enough my goal, and I won't have you slowing me down.

Pranc wakes up and weakly looks to the side and sees the camp in chaos. He flashes back to feeling he had only momentarily where he was smashed into the ground. He notices a mark from Mane's foot where the combined force of lifting Mena and Mena's weight added to Mane's indented the ground. Whatever happened...my destination is northwest? Is Mena even alive? Pranc sits and gathers his senses. Guess I don't have latent night vision powers that will activate in a moment of crisis. I hate being this weak. I won't be weak anymore..but I am now. And I need help. But who is going to help me save Mena?...or avenge her, no, save. She is alive. It wasn't an animal... I felt a palm slam me into the ground. Pranc stands up. He spies the dagger laying on the ground. He picks it up carries it, and uses the bow as a cane. He marches towards Hillsdale, but ends up going the wrong direction and goes northeast.

You Pures had no issues treating us in the same way. It's simply the universal ethics principle. You are now an Atoner. You are going to assist in paying the debt the Pures owe. Take responsibility for your ancestors.

Some jerk, is generations of Purebreeds. Millions of them. And whether you were ignorant or not, I get paid the same. Now walk or I'll go back and drag the boy here too. As if I could find him at that point. I really don't care about the relations Mixed and the Pure, I care about money. You have absolutely nothing that will stop me, including strength.
