Once again, Bane was hasty in his conclusions. He was too easy to bait this way; it was almost entertaining. A slight smile curled upon the perfect, shapely lips of the scientist as he paused, and stepped back from the project's primary founder.

Then rather than waste such a commodity, we should forge a better timescale to allow for the full extent of research. I will put in the necessary orders to have the subjects sealed off in proper containment.

The time scale is under my direction, Maximillian. Deliver the necessary orders. I will keep you informed.

*Heading down towards quarantine, Bane had an appointment with Cora, who was currently being punsihed for his indiscretions*

*Some hours later, Iden would come to on Level 2. It would not be a pleasant awakening. Strapped down, he was also being held open, with several hands literally buried inside his body*

He's coming round...
How interesting...
Vitals?
Flatlines.... ah! There we go. A blip. Erratic...
Yes, I can feel it. The drive?
Technically heart. Atrophied as expected... core functional...
Red blood cellcount?

*And so on*
PostPosted: Sun Oct 04, 2009 2:23 pm

It started with a dull, thumping headache. He didn't know why, he just knew he'd drilled the b***h with her own handgun, then been bodily tackled by far too many men to be less than humorous.

Now, he had a bright light searing his eyes. It wasn't the sun..he wasn't feeling like a fire was crisping his face.

Then something disgusting shifted in his stomach. With eyes wide open, he looked down to see the scientists.

WHAT THE ******** DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!

It was the first thing his mind registered. THe pain came shortly AFTER he started straining against all that held him down. The violence involved in his thrashing was disturbing...one could hear bones creaking, verging on cracking. But there was no chance of breaking free; there was too much holding him down, and his blood would not answer him. He was powerless to do anything but stare in unadulterated horror at the process unfolding.

Record the reaction.
The mental graphs arent reading clearly...
No chip yet.
I want clear brain scans. Cut him open.

*It was clear they did NOT mean his body. That was already laid bare. The fact men surrounded his already mildly restrained head to wedge it TOTALLY still with further bars and pads indicated he was going to get a WORSE headache.

As a scientist moved in behind him and the sound of a drill sounded, then stopped, a scientist leant over Iden with a clip board*

On a scale of one to ten, how would you say you're feeling right now? Now remember, this is for science... so please, be as honest as you can be...
PostPosted: Sun Oct 04, 2009 2:46 pm

...No. HELL no. ******** no.

The amber eyed doctors that were ringing his form would have quite the issue in holding the thrashing back. There was wild eyed terror in his eyes as he fought tooth and nail to not be held still. But it was an inevitability that saw him pinned to the table, and the last thing he heard before the agony kicked in was the question.

One to ten? ******** you. ******** you all.

Open him up.

*Scalpel. Knife. Tweezers. Pins. Water to flush the wound. And then... drill. Pain.

Shortly after, with the membrane over is brain inspected... the expected prodding about and reactions did not come*

Specimen has the new variation of HiV/AIDS...
Someone get a meningitus culture up here.
We have one grafted on the Matriarch's dna...
That will do perfectly.

Now, try not to move your eyes too much, subject CX357. It'll make the headache worse.

*A scientist closed in bearing a plate with a sliver of skin on it, which was placed against Iden's membrane... and his head closed back up. An injection of anesthetic, and he would come to in a modified cell, loose chains holding his arms and legs to the wall, though giving him room to move and lay down, as he was now. Meningitus.. was an unpleasant illness that killed humans. Cameras ouside the cell and overhead watched him carefully, recording*

The struggling did not stop. He was thrashing and shouting in rage and helpless anger through all of the procedure. The room would best be soundproofed...he was howling like a banshee.

There wasn't enough strength left in his limbs to walk afterwards...he had started pulverizing the bones in his wrists and ankles pulling against the restraints. There was nothing for it, he could not just rip free like he normally did. This left him unceremoniously dumped in his cell, to suffer the onset. Hours passed, and slowly he recovered enough to sit upright and stare at the ceiling. He wanted to believe he was going to get out, that it would be fine. But he was completely cut off now, and every time he strained against the chains, nothing happened. Whatever they had stuck him with, his blood would not answer him.

The onset was beyond unpleasant. It started with the headache from the operation. That headache just grew worse, and worse, and worse, until he was curled up against the wall, clutching his head and whimpering. Those were the first signs...the others were far more subtle. He did not display them, except that he quaked like a leaf from the chills. It had been a long, long time since he had been feverish. THe experience was a nightmare to him.

*Locked away inher own cell, not too far distant from Iden, it was like some dark switch had been flicked in the Matron. A switch she could turn on and off at will, denying any readings on her when people wer elooking for them... and gaining in strength when they were not.

Iden was here. That one message, that ONE certainty had settled itself into her head. And helped her to recall now even when AWAKE. Though self preservation let her only think about it when the chip was silent in her head and the cameras dim, likely meaning only one or two scientists were even in the room, if monitering her readouts at all.

Willpower. She had it in spades. DESPITE the restrictions on the level, as Iden;s fever worsened... a cool hand touched his brow. Soft words murmed at his ear as she focused until bloodsweat beaded her brow and left just the slightest lingering feel of comfort with her son. While inside... her rage grew.

In time... someone would pay.*

It didn't help. If he felt any reassurance, there was no sign. At the time, all he could do was shiver and cringe. And since the disease had nothing to hold it back, so it would remain until the scientists saw fit to administer their touch on him again.

*Until the sickness took full effect, he'd be left. 16 hours later... his shivering wreck of a form would be taken back upstairs, pinned once more, and the culture removed, samples of blood, bacteria and all sorts investigated to percieve the fullness of the infection, and its effects on him*

Interesting... culture growth has been FASTER than in the older specimen, but... his white blood cells have actually multiplies trying to cope... almost as if some human structures remain...

Administer a cure and feed him. Tomorrow, we will take bone marrow samples.

Yes sir.

*Patched back up, shipped back out, this time when returned ot his cell, he'd be chained tightly and efficiently, denying him movement even AFTER the sickness was gone and he was well fed. An injection of a red syrupy substance would prevent discplines getting in the way as they left him to recover*
PostPosted: Sun Oct 04, 2009 4:18 pm

There was no fighting when he was returned. His limbs were limp, mostly because moving just made it hurt worse. His head was pained in the most murderous of ways. Every light, every sound made a sudden knife of agony. There just was no escaping it. He couldn't even scream...he'd long since run out of the stamina to do even that.

All he could do was watch and know that in some corner of his head, he was painfully aware. When the physical pain wore off, he'd feel worse, knowing more was to come. Until then, he could only hand limp.

*The cure would work swiftly and effectively, as it had been designed to do, leaving Iden even headache free the next morning. At which point it would be Alison who appeared outside his cell to look in on him*

So much trouble... Cora deserves shooting for ever bringing you in... between YOU, AND Max and Bane's distrust for each other... better pray to whatever god you hold dear. Theres NO experiment they could perform on you that woudl be too much....

*such hate in her voice*
PostPosted: Sun Oct 04, 2009 5:14 pm

In the morning, for the first time all night, his head would lift. His gaze fell upon his visitor...why did she hate him so much? Regardless...

Y'know, gimme the gun and I'll shoot 'em for ya. Mebbe we can tag team it, y'know? Lovely little ******** in this sort of dire situation, he still couldn't stop himself; he had to give his captors a piece of his mind.

*Opening the cell door, Alison stepped in. Without even a second thought, she backhanded Iden sharply, the administered the inhibitor injection that had been agreed upon to make SURE Iden didnt stage another escape before ateam came in to transport him upstairs*

That b***h was brian dead until you showed up. Remind the scientists upstairs not to use anesthetic on him - it ruins the results and these undead freaks can handle a little pain. Or will you scream like a girl, Iden, just like dear old mum?

*Turning on her heel in disgust, Alison stalked away. A scientist looke dIDen over*

How are you currently feeling? Any sensitivity to light? Any pain or migraine?
