Aeryn shuddered and turned her head up to Asa. "Please don't. It was my fault. I thought I was sneaky enough, but I wasn't. It was my fault for trying." She coughed heavily and when she removed her hands from her mouth there was blood on them. She looked up at Relic and smiled up at him very weakly. "Thank you." She looked back at Asa and stroked his cheek. "And thank you for taking me in when I needed a home." Her body gave one last shudder before she blacked out, getting closer to death with how much blood she has lost.

Relic and Asa shared a glance, instinctive knowledge passing between them even as they turned opposite ways. Asa would kill them.. because a wolf Alpha would destroy anything that threatened his pack.. and so long as they breathed, Asa wouldnt calm down. as the large jackal behind them disappeared down the street, Relic held her firmly and headed for his hide out in the churchs attic. to distract himself mused softly, his ear twitching at the sight of blood slideing from her mouth. " You dont know us well, Cara mina, if you think they will survive. you are Idolian, a pack member.. we protect our own." reaching the rafters, and his hide away, he kicked the door open and laid her on the bed.. his voice changeing as he slit his wrist and pressed it to her mouth. " which is why.. im not allowing you to leave. drink Cara, just a bit now.."

Even though Aeryn was out, she could feel Relic's blood dripping into her mouth. She turned her head up and opened her mouth, forgetting what would happen if she were to drink a Jackal's blood. She shivered from all the loss of blood and her core temp was much lower then it should have been. "Please, help me." She opened her eyes and pain was in them, along suffering and pleading.

His ears flicked forward to catch her words, teal eyes narrowing as he tried to argue with himself. No. I wont do this, even if she is.. No. no way, it cant be done. she wouldnt make it anyway... Ah hell. " i must be out of my mind.." he growled, slideing a arm around her shoulder to help her sit up. peeling back his lips he didnt pause again, sinking his teeth into her shouder until they hit bone. turning a jackal didnt work the same as a vampire.. vampires just needed to hit the blood stream, Jackals had to infect the bone to ensure the change.. and it hurt like hell, or so he had been told. he was born this way.. so he honestly had no clue. he waited until the bone under his teeth started to grate slightly, the skin around it heating as her body started to heal itself and change form.. and he pulled away to stand by the bed, his clawed hand tight on the headbord as his nose twitched. " For your sake.. female.. i hope you remain saine through this." if not.. it would be his job to undo his mistake.

Aeryn screamed out in pain and screamed louder when he hit bone. After that, pain licked through her body, making it so she had to move so it wouldn't hurt as much. She thrashed and turned and screamed and shook with pain. Tears came down her face in waves, washing away the blood that was there. After a few hours of this, her body went still, but her lungs and heart were still working, making her sides move up and down. After a few minutes of her body resting, she gave out another scream and she changed, black fur covering her body and a long face grew, making her look more like a dog. She whimpered and looked up at Relic. "What have you done to me?"

by the time she shifted.. and the screams died away, Relic had retreated to the chair near the glass window. " i did as you asked. you wanted my help, and i gave it to you." it was all he could have done.. people earned the right to be a jackal, they couldnt be soothed or cuddled like a vampire fledgeing.. not until they shifted fully. the light from outside cast his form into a sharp relief, only his slitted teal eyes clear from his shadowed form. " welcome to the family, lady Jackal."

She sat up slowly, looking at everything with her new eyes. Everything was much clearer, and she could smell everything too. She stood up slowly and stumbled on her new feet. She leaned on the wall and sighed. "Does Asa know you did this? Surely he would be mad if he didn't approve of this." She looked over at Relic and the way he looked caught her breath. He was a handsom Jackal, and it made her wonder what he looked like as a man.

" He would have been more upset if i let you die." once again, a simple truth.. yet it made things so complicated. she would need a ID, training, and Asa would likely adopt her into the Jackal pack without hesitation.. their kind survived by staying close. which ment she really was in a new world now. the scent of her interest carried to him and he stiffened slightly, unready for that complication. he hadnt been near a none related female jackal in years.. and had forgotten to think about her reaction. Lord knew if she went after his cousin Si'ek, the pain wouldnt hesitate to accept her offer. and for some reason.. that really irritated him. she was his.. Relic froze. his what? too unsettled to think about that he pointed at her, saying gently. " shift back. imagine your human self, and will yourself to change."

She decided to do it on the bed and shuffled over, sitting on it. She closed her eyes and concentrated on her human form. She whimpered after she shifted. She fell to the pillows and curled into them. "What do we do now?" Her body was shaking still from the shift, and she had a cold sweat.

Asta, though quiet was still standing by listening intently. She didn't even grimace when the girl shrieked in pain. She knew what do do next, but she wanted to see if Relic first knew.
Ember sniffed the air, walked in a circle then sat in a ball by Astas feet. By now her roasry was safely tucked away.

" We need to get you back to Howlers, Where the others can help protect you." Relic cast a glance at Asta, saying curtly. " Forgive me, but we must depart." It was tabo to flash pack buisness near outsiders.. and Asa would want her near the pack until she was steady in her new form. Shifting to his human form he placed a soothing hand on her shoulder, his tone even and calm as he promised. " I wont let anything happen to you. come Aeryn.."

Aeryn nodded and stood up slowly, a little shaky on her feet. "Lead the way. I'm ready to go home." She smiled softly and Relic and was right about how he would look handsomer in his human form. She tried to take a step forward, but only placed her numb foot wrong and fell into Relic's chest. "I'm sorry, first day with my new feet."

Asta nodded. "But where will you be going? I am new to these lands and don't know much about what's going on." Ember still sat at her feet, her beady eyes now fixing it's gaze upon Relic.

He studied the three, saying firmly. " A club called Howlers. My boss should be there.. he handles things such as this. you and Ember would be safe there as well, if Asa clears it." catching Aeryn firmly he lifted her into is arms, allowing the others to fallow or stay as they pleased as his long strides took him toward the pack base.

Yuri sighed as she walked between the wolves, resting a hand on each of their shoulders as they lead her down the street. Suri's fur was blazing hot, keeping her warm even as Luna's fur soothed her. neither knew where they were however.. and Riley's scent had been scattered too much for the wolves to fallow. She had only wanted to heal that poor old man.. but he had kept walking when Yuri tried to talk to him. then he was gone in the crowd, and she realized that she had wondered too far away from Riley to find her again.. comeing to the church steps she sat on the top one, leaning back as Suri laid behind her, and Luna curled up at her side. aunt Riley.. where are you..?
