"I'd love t' see your new vardo. I'll come help you get th' stove workin' if'n you want or show you how t' set th' wheels an' all. It's th' same kind I hae, bein' a readin' an' all," Rory said, talking a bit fast, eyes lighting up with excitement. "I can bring some school books o'er, too, an' get you right caught up on lessons."

Lee smiled, tugging at the ends of her hair as she nodded. "Heh, yeah, that'd be good. I mean, if you have time for all that. I mean... I've missed, like, a month of school. Could take a lot of catching up." Lee nearly giggled watching Rory's excitement, and Lee giggles were rare and only deserving of especially cute sights.

Lee lifted a hand to hide her face, and though she was sufficiently embarrassed, her smile remained. "I just... I didn't know there was a school here." Dropping her hands, her shoulders hunched over as she tugged at her shirt. "I'm sorry. You dun have to help if it's too much trouble."

"Fao should be beaten fae not tellin' you," Rory said, frowning slightly. "An' it ain't nae trouble 't all. I donnae mind comin' by t' help you study. I could think o' worse ways t' while th' time than by spendin' it wi' a bonny lass." He looked down as he said the words, cheeks going from pink to red. Keeping his eyes locked on his shuffling feet, he wasn't sure how she'd take the statement, especially since he'd not meant to say it, but he couldn't help himself. She was cute and interesting and nothing like the didikai girls he was used to.

Normally Lee would have simply blushed a bit and ignored something like Rory had said, considering Faolan had called her bonny enough to where she was used to it. After seeing the boys reaction -- the shuffling, the blush -- she was a bit taken by surprise. How had he managed to turn Lee's opinion of him from mischievous to adorable? With a small laugh of embarrassment, Lee mumbled "Thanks..." while her cheeks, too, grew red. "Er, well, for the help. And the pizza, too. I forgot to thank you for that." His embarrassment was embarrassing her.

"Wouldnae be much o' date if'n I didnae feed you up some," Rory said, then looked up at her with wide eyes before looking off and rubbing the back of his neck, cheeks burning red. "Not tha' this wis a date. I mean, I didnae mean t' impose. "

"A date?" Was that what this had been? She wouldn't have known, considering she'd never been on a proper date before, but that didn't mean she was against it. Looking down at her fidgeting hands with a small smile, she could relax a bit more when she wasn't the only one blushing. "I hope the rest of our date isn't spent standing in front of your vardo." Lee slowly began to walk in the same direction as the roustabouts who'd just passed through with Faolan and her vardo, looking back to make sure Rory was coming.

Rory took the girl's hand, stopping her a moment. "You can always come in fae a look, girl." He smiled, despite the blushing. "Not sure you wanna be riskin' gettin' in th' way while they're settlin' your vardo."

Lee's blush deepened as Rory reached out for her hand, and got even deeper when she was asked inside. "R-really? Okay..." She wasn't sure why she thought it was such a big deal, but cheerfully smiled up at him at the invitation anyway. "Eh, yeah, I guess not..." Her grin fading a bit, Lee hoped Rory wasn't catching on to her absent-mindedness quite yet.

"Think o' it as gettin' a chance t' hae a look at vardo interior decoratin'," Rory said, stepping up and opening the door for Lee. Inside was all dark wood, rich green velvet, and gold leafing, though sparsely decorated. A few clothes were strewn over a chair and the bed was unmade. "Sorry about th' mess."

Stepping inside, Lee couldn't help but "ooh" a bit at the interior. She apparently hadn't grown used to the prettiness of vardos just yet. While this was nice, she had to admit that she preferred her own. For a brief moment, she wondered to herself how often Rory brought girls here, a small tinge of jealousy showing on her face at the thought. "It's okay." Honestly, her place would likely end up much messier had she not had Lauss around to clean up after her.
Oh, right, Lauss... She should probably add that to the list of things not to tell Rory. Not only because he may not appreciate that she was a criminal for owning him, but also because she wasn't about to summon the wrath of Banning upon her. "Mind if I sit down? My legs are kinda tired."

"Sure, lass," Rory said, walking in behind her, leaving the door open. "There's chairs there an' th' bed's comfortable." He proved this by sitting down on it, after straightening the covers on it. "Ain't real sure what t' do. Donnae really bring girls here much. Well, at all, actually. Always kinda nervous on bringin' them here. You seem different, though."

Reluctant at first to sit on the bed, she took note that the door was left open. Rory really was a good guy. Shuffling next to him, she plopped herself down on his bed, letting her hands fold together on her knees. His words made her smile with relief, even though he might not have been too overjoyed about it. "Well... Faolan told my fortune for me when I first visited him. You do anything like that?" It got her wondering what he did for a job, or if he even worked while he was going to school.

"Nae, lass. I'm not gifted like he is. Tha' sort o' skill, you're either born wi' it or trained from birth. Helps if you got both. Sad t' say, my job 'round here is nae where near as exotic. I work wi' th' horses. You know, breakin' them t' be ridden an' trainin' them fae th' shows." He looked at her, a small smile tugging at his lips. "D'you know how t' ride, Lee? I could show you some o' th' countryside 'round th' grounds sometime if you like."
