Personality:Bored with the monotony of his old life. Wants to pull off being a hero. Has a bit of an ego, thanks to his muscles and size, and tends to lack some tact when situations call for it...blunt, in fact. Stubborn, too, especially when it comes to something he thinks can make him more heroic in the eyes of others.
Likes: Being the hero, people feeding and petting his ego, hard work(it's his farmer's blood), going out to sea and the beach(parent's were originally islanders).
Dislikes: People who exploit others, books with no 'story', mosquitoes.
Fears: (Secretly)Becoming non-exsistant to people/being forgotten.

Family: Father and Mother who still live on and tend the farm(he visits them on occassion and helps out when he does visit).
Bio: Having grown up on a farm, Basden got bored with his every day life. He wanted to be like all the 'heroes' he heard about in stories. Finally, at 18, he left home and started travelling, wanting to be a 'hero'. For four years, he travelled, doing good deeds, exterminating pesky monsters, and other such things, trying to make a name for himself in the world. However, he still hasn't managed to do so yet....

Dragoon Description/Picture: Basden gains some blue metal grieves that look almost ice-esque with blue lines of 'water' flowing along the armor, along with a piece of armor of the same kind for his torso, as well as a head band. His arms are kept bare, and his kama become larger and 'heavier', the shafts gaining the look of the metal of his armor and the blades becoming jagged and longer, looking like frozen coral. His wing are blue from the 'spine' of the wings, and fade down into a greenish-gray at the ends.
Dragoon Abilities:

• Frozen Sphere- Basden summons a stream of water to fly at the enemy, surrounding it in a bubble. He then flash freezes it, and the frozen sphere sends spikes jutting inward at the enemy.
  
• Rain Dance - Basden does an almost ritualistic dance, summoning a small rainstorm to heal and clense him and his allies.
  
• Shattering Force - Basden backflips, landing on a small pillar of ice that gets suddenly summoned, and focuses. Ice shoots up around the enemies as numerous spikes, missing the enemy but going up and over them, high and thick. Holding his Kama, he backflips again, and sends out a 'shockwave' of magic in an 'X' pattern at the group of enemies, which hits the ice spikes and causes them to shatter, breaking apart and raining down sharp ice shards on the enemies
  
• Blue-Sea Dragon- Basden summons the Blue-Sea Dragon, which creates a giant waterspout(tornado of water) that an enemy gets caught in.

Forgive me for being out of sorts with this, but due to my nature, I have a keen interest in playing Yakumo Ran. However, I know so very little about the series, and not very much about Ran and Chen. D :

I don't know how much the game itself costs, nor if there is an english version, or at least one subtitled. So there is not much of a way to play the game myself. Due to this, I fear placing an application would be pointless for me, because I could neither appropriately play, nor properly cannon Ran. > I

That research being watching a single episode of a fan-made anime for Touhou.

Reading the wikia's on Ran, Chen, and Yukari, and downloading the 6th and 11th game and attempting them. 6 didnt work, and 11 proved to be just what I thought it would be. A curtain shooter. : D

So for Ran's personality, there is not much to go on? In that case, I shall do my best to portray her as she would be given those around her and her experiances. : O

Also, this is just a note, but even though Ran's past is fairly unknown, feel free to flesh it out in the RP if you want (although if you want to do something that seems like it might be going to far, talk to us first XD). I for one certainly plan to go into the backstories of my characters in far greater depth than was ever spelled out in cannon.

Yeah, I noticed the lack of quotes, too, but when I went looking for good Ran quotes, nothing stood out, so I decided to give her a pass. Like I said, she doesn't appear much in cannon, and when she does, she doesn't do anything particularly interesting. Her best line, imo, is: "Miss Yukari would determine not only the Sanzu's width, but its bottomless depth as well. She'd find out how long it would take Ursa Major to devour the North Star, all in an instant. Normally all she does is sleep, but the instant she opens her mouth, she gives orders no one else would think up.", but that says more about Yukari then her. >_>

Personality: Mystia is a very youkai-like youkai: a creature of the night who takes joy in hunting and terrorizing humans. A wild, untamed, and fun-loving spirit, she flies around by night, singing her crazed song both to lure in prey and for her own entertainment. She also has a bad habit of not listening to others, and forgets what people tell her in short order. She's basically an idiot.

Bio: Mystia is a prolific anthropophage. Her modus operandi is to blind travelers on the roads at night, and then lure them in with her wild song. She is one of the many youkai who specialize in causing travelers to become lost. She's most active durring the night, and does all of her hunting then. She's also apparently a skilled chef - she runs a stand that sells grilled lamprey (as an alternative to the yakitori stands that dot the roads in Gensokyo), which recieved good reviews in Bunbunmaru News.
