The Desert

[Aku Kami Kurayami]

Fuyu was in quite the talkative mood. Neppa wasn't one to care, but it would hopefully keep the Vizard busy form Neppa to read the moves right. The constant Shunpou wasn't all that helpful either, but he only need track it. With the sudden drop in temperature, Neppa was sure that Fuyu was planning something, so he moved towards him in a defensive position. When the shards of ice were thrown, it was hard for Neppa to see the first few, but he was sure that the attack was happening after a few shards sliced through his skin. With a show of some practice, Neppa began slashing and swiping at the air with large, fluid motions, removing or melting as many of the shards as possible, but still getting a little sliced. Only then did he see that his attempts were futile as the large wolf head of frozen energy converged on him.
With a quick mental action, the sword of fire dissipated and Neppa was once again engulfed in his nimbus. With the blast now trying to bite down on him, he moved in a fluid, upwards strike. "Flame Wheel!" Holding his sword at the end up the upswing to brace for impact, a larger than normal wheel of fire leaped from the Zanpakutou and collided with the roof of the wolfen energy's maw. There, the wheel reeled and spun, digging into the energy. But alas, it wasn't enough to stop it, only weaken it as Neppa had hoped, though not by much. The blast continued on it's path and struck down on Neppa, blade dissipating some more of the energy, but still leaving Neppa with even more slashes across his arms and a pierced hole in his chest.
Blood seeped out of the wounds on Neppa's arms, only seconds later to be cauterized closed. Saddly, the chest wound was much deeper, blood seeping out from the hole, but not as profusely as most other people would. For though this man was out classed in certain respects by the Hollow-man, Neppa was still once the captain of the combat squad.
So with a wicked smile, canines glinting, and the heat of combat in his eyes, Neppa charged forth, still. The air around Neppa began to warp and shimmer as the heat around him increased. Neppa eventually began to grow hazy, separating into multiple images every once in a while, even the sounds of his motions warped and coming in from every direction. Upon closing the distance, Neppa would shunpou forth and launch a barrage of attacks upon the Hollow-man, trails of fire following the blade and motes of fire hanging in the air where clashes would be made.

After the first slash went through the Fuyu's flesh, Neppa knew that something strange was up. Firstly, Fuyu didn't try and guard the attack. And second, what he cut into was not flesh. Quickly, his senses sharpened as the real Fuyu appeared behind him. As Fuyu spoke, Neppa turned and sped towards him.
Sadly, Neppa wasn't quick enough and Fuyu was able to launch the attack before he could strike. "Enkousen!" he shouted, flinging his left hand forward. An orange shield formed in front of Neppa just the size to cover him, but as soon as it formed, it began to crack from the amount of energy being thrown at it. So Neppa moved his flames to reinforce the Kidou, making it last for seconds more, but the wounds he'd already sustained along with the raw power of the Cero was a little much.
The shield cracked and dissipated, the flames returned, but he took about 55% of the attack to himself directly. As the beam ended, Neppa stood about 15 feet from Fuyu, breathing heavily in a one handed defensive position. But there was something new, a hexagonal, metal plate with a loop was in the center of Neppa's chest. Slowly, a chain began to appear and stretch down to the ground. Neppa most likely could see it, but it wouldn't register. He was in battle mode, to worry too much about it would just be his defeat.

As Fuyu flashed forward, Neppa swung down to stop him, but couldn't hit him as intended by how close Fuyu was. As he backed up, he then noticed that Fuyu's hand was on the chain, which then grasped and crushed it. Quickly, it began consuming itself until there was no more. This just made Neppa more angry and he rushed towards Fuyu's new location, but was quickly deterred by the Kidou constricting his movement. Letting out a primal roar he began forcing the Kidou apart, his flame growing larger and hotter, flickers of purple rippling through it as his mind changed from anger to thoughtlessness. The Kidou stretched and gave slightly, but was utterly no use when the second part of the Kidou was thrown at him, constricting all his movement. More yells and roars, the fires of wrath growing in heat and size, all utterly useless.

But Neppa wasn't aware of this...

The world was ravaged, decimated, utterly obliterated. What was once a sea of magma was now a roiling tempest of flames and explosions. Large chunks of rock fell from the sky as they were both hurtled in from both an unknown location and the erupting volcano in the center of it all. The volcano itself looked angry, pillars of smoke rising from the top as it hurled lobs of magma from it's orifice.
Neppa was shocked and stunned. How could this happen? His inner world was being torn asunder, being purged into utter chaos from the balance it once was. Then from through the smoke a single figured marched. He was dressed in a white outfit similar, if not the same as Neppa's.
"I finally have control now! All those years lying in wait, they all paid off for this moment," the inverted Neppa spoke.
"You know what I am and I know you wont stop me from doing this!" With a swift motion of his arm, a white sword with a black blade wreathed in black and green flames shot out from his hand at Neppa.
Neppa did nothing but take the blow as it sliced into his shoulder.

The pain in Neppa's shoulder burned, but it burned with a feeling he never felt before. It was a burn that wasn't pleasant, something that Neppa felt he couldn't feel, a painful burning. But he felt he deserved it. The Hollow-Neppa then gave a primal yell and slashed the opposite shoulder, making Neppa fall to his knees. With a laugh, the Hollow-Neppa kicked Neppa in the gut, turning him over.
"Ha! How could a pathetic reaper like you have contained me?" the thing replied. It was Neppa's voice, but distorted, filled with excitement and malice. As Neppa tried to stand, the Hollow kicked him down, Neppa rolling a few feet. Walking over, to him, the Hollow picked Neppa up by the collar. "But that doesn't matter now, I'm in control. See?" the Hollow started, then lifted the Zanpakutou up to slide the flaming axe blade against Neppa's face, "Even your Zanpakutou bends to my will." Bringing him closer, the Hallow spat in Neppa's face. "You're a pathetic excuse for a warrior."
A purple flame began sprouting from Neppa's feet.

Neppa's body continued to scream and write against the kidou. The Hollow was gaining power, and it was beginning to become apparent. The white to purple flames were now black to green. As more and more primal yells were released, they began to get more and more distorted and primal. White fragments began floating about Neppa. Eventually they began to take shape, beginning to come from over Neppa's head, forming into a skeletal mask of sorts. Once finished, the screams seemed to fade, but not completely, barely audible and warping in and out, seeming like figments of the mind.
With a very audible grunt, Neppa began to break through the kidou that imprisoned him. The metal bars began to bend, the fabric beginning to rip. As this, more white fragments began to appear, groing into spiked shoulder plates, then growing down his arms, making them appear as if his arms were solely bone. Something bad was soon to happen if Neppa didn't finish up soon.
