Sue noticed that LAVA, hot and scorching was going to boil Octavio if she didn't get him out of the way, so instead of mercilessly firing arrows, she grabbed the sage by his cape and put him... not so gracefully behind her. "Hold on tightly!" she exclaimed, nocking another arrow of Myulgre hastily after steering Andre to safety.

Victoria in the meantime noticed the snake wasn't getting many to attack it... so she lit off a purge spell to strike it. She was now again lost in the chaos of the battlefield... not knowing whom was where.

((I'm sorry if this is incorrect or not. I've just come back and I know I have no time to read the whole story. ._.; Let's just say, I'll go with the flow of what's happening.))

Rage was flowing into the paladin's vein as she charged forward to attack the wolf. She couldn't believe it. But she knew it had happened. Loki had killed Renault and the Archbishop had fell into the abyss. What happened to the promise that he took? The promise where he was supposed to stay alive? No.... It couldn't be....... It couldn't be real...... However, it did.

Upset of the broken, empty promise that was cast away, furious filled within her. Now, carrying the burden of taking Renault's place as Amelia's guardian, Isadora let out a battle cry. No hell could hold the fury of a woman's scorn.

When she was closed to Fenrir, she let out a powerful slice across the wolf's leg and barely got bitten by the wolf's teeth.

Loki would pay for it. Yes, he would. Once Isadora had the chance to battle against him, he would feel her wrath for killing a dear friend of hers.

Tibarn whipped around the edge of the cavern and in again with the others, where he carefully let Rath down before taking to the air again. He had to get some altitude... and there was a lava pool there to give him plenty! His wings spread wide, to catch every glorious inch of the hot air rising off that river, and he suddenly caught it and swept upwards, eyeing his next target.

His wings folded and he went into a sharp stoop, then suddenly flared them and dragged his talons down Fenrir's back, tearing away large chunks of flesh and-- ow, damnit!

He'd caught a rib and a talon had actually broken off in Fenrir's back! Damnit, ow! He wanted that back! >.< Ow ow ow!

Did it fail? Sophia’s mind was left racing as she stared at the transformed Loki who… appeared to have taken no damage. Perhaps if Evelyn had been wielding Chizakura it might have made more an impact, but Evelyn was dead and she had been controlled by this man anyway. “Once more,” she mumbled as she readied herself to strike once more, until her attention was drawn away. That serpent creature had just released terrible venom, and she was in ranch of the attack.

With a cry, she managed to dodge out of the way and remove herself from the venom’s path. Her back hit against the stone walls, and she cringed as she pushed herself away from them. “C-chizakura.” Rather than strike Loki this time around, she aimed at Jörmungandr hoping to wound the creature even more. Her right hand remained outstretched as more petals were summoned and begun whipping through the air to get to the snake.

Shinon stopped shouting his arrows at Loki and grabbed Amelia's arm.
"Sorry but we should fall back with the others, don't do anything rash, use your head." Shinon ran towards the entrance where Ashera was standing.

The Dark God Loki, about to be felled by a group of simple mortals. Well, that was, until he slumped over from the combined force of both Apocalypse and the spell of some other mage, and conjured up a colossal snake and wolf. Oh, what a great warm-up this was! Only moments back from the cold embrace of death and he was already slinging his most powerful spells!

The summoned beasts were powerful in their own right, for sure, their quick motions keeping all who engaged with them on their toes, though the allies were more than capable of rising to the challenge. Rath and Tibarn were teaming up, and the assaults were continuing, until Loki's form changed, prompting Rei to calm himself, though a deity's shouts can't easily be ignored.

It was then that a calming wave rushed into the boy, a phantasmal whisper echoing through his ears. His mind and body backed by this force, Rei smiled, the Apocalypse tome glowing again as another spell was prepared. He had three targets: the speedy Fenrir, the venomous Jormungandr, and the force of evil himself, Loki. Weighing his options, personal safety in mind, he faced the snake, hand outstretched into a open palm.

His body was enveloped in a dark aura as he began reciting an eldritch incantation, eyes transfixed on the raging serpent. As the incantation progressed, the aura manifested into another mist, this time rising above the Druid.

"Apocalypse."

The mist, like before, formed into jets of energy, streaking directly towards the colossal snake, the energy warping and bending around each individual petal of Sophia's, so that her spell's power wouldn't be diminished.

Octavio got off the horse with a small, grateful, "Thank you" and took off running for the door.

He just ran, without stopping... He couldn't stop...
What will I say to her?! I failed... I have to tell her he was too much for me...

He ran up to her... But she was so radiant... So beautiful. How was he possibly worthy to approach her any further... Especially since he couldn't do the only thing... she had ever asked of him...

"M-m-m-... Ash..era..." he tried to speak... But his guilt hung over him...

I failed you...

Ephraim jumped out of the way of the creature's venom and got ot his feet, making a mad dash toward the serpent once more until it flung its tail at him, keeping him away. "Agh, I can't get close to it without getting smacked" that was until a dark explosion hit it directly in the left eye. Quickly, he turned his head toward the source and spotted a familier face. But now wasn't the time for greetings, Ephraim took this chance and pushed himself off the ground toward the snake once more.

The prince jumped on the snake once more and once again, was about to be thrown off. "Not this time he'd got a hit once he'll get one again. Ephraim, rammed his spear into the side of Jörmungandr, letting gravity pull him down as the spear head slowly cut his neck. Blood spilled out violently, Ephraim yanked it out and backed away, avoiding contact with the blood at all cost. The serpent still wasn't dead, it was moving..a little.
