Morph grinned at her as she crouched down. He could just tell she had so much more energy stores than him. But he didn’t want her to feel like she had to hold back for his pride. Not that it would matter much to him if she let him win, but if she could win, he wanted her to. "No holding back now. " he winked at her. He crouched down next to her and nudged her playfully. He could already imagine being bent over by the river, gasping for breath. Ah, well… "Ready?..." Here goes nothing…

Ara smirked at him and nodded. She smirked over at him and checked to make sure he was ready. "I am ready, will you make it ok?" she asked with a giggle as she swished her tail. "On the count of three ok. One. Two. Three!!!" She yelled as she took off running into the trees. She leaped over anything in her way with ease, showing off a little bit for him so he could see how much more graceful she could be.

Morph stuck out his tongue at her and grinned. “I’ll get there when I get there.” He nodded, his face set, a grin still playing about this eyes. She pulled ahead of him pretty early on and he did his best to keep up with her. He followed her graceful movements, her skirts swishing as she ran. That same feeling he had when she was on top of him flashed briefly through him, tingling his nose. The voice in head that spoke with Mir’s voice muttered focus. He laughed at himself and did his best to keep her in view. HE wasn’t going to win, that’s for sure, but for some reason, he didn’t mind losing at the moment. But he also made a promise to work harder to improve himself, maybe train with Mir on occasion.

Ara smiled as she noticed him behind her as she would flip over things when she got enough air. She smirked as she ran. She was happy to know that he was willing to get energetic with her like this, he needed to get more active to keep up with her. She would work him alot when she had the chance. She would teach him to dance, that would help him.

Morph grinned back at her when she flipped, sticking out his tongue playfully. Showoff… he laughed to himself. But still, he didn’t mind; seeing her so full of joy was worth anything to him. Happiness flooded though him, momentarily numbing the raggedness he was starting to feel. Morph saw the river farther down the hill and relief flooded through him. He was happy to run about, but this was probably the most exercise he had had in a long time.I am soooooooo out of shape. He kept running, mostly because he was unable to stop himself, dodging trees and bushes with a bit more desperation.

Ara smiled as she neared the water. She looked back and saw that she was indeed ahead of him. With a few more leaps and bounds she landed on a large rock by the water and waited for Morph. She was breathing heavier then normal but she was probably in better shape then Morph was going to be when he got here. She knelt down, moving her skirt about her feet, and washed her hands as she waited, then took a drink of water to help calm her breaths.

By now, Morph was having difficulty stopping and the water’s edge was approaching quite fast indeed. There was a moment when Morph’s brain when he stopped saying, Crud-crud-crud-crud-crud! and accepted the fact that he was going to become very wet, very soon. Ah, well. At least I’ll be clean. Flying past Ara, he slipped on a wet rock and went head over heels into the water. He ended up with a splat in the river, laughing fit to burst. “Hi!” He said brightly, looking up at Ara. “That was fun.” Remind me never to race you again for a while… or at least not down a hill.

Ara gasped as he landed in the water and splashed her. She jumped to the land and looked at him worried. "are you ok? Not hurt or anything are you?" The water was much to shallow for him to drown in, which is why she wasn't scared of the water here, but she was worried he was injured. She didn't want to go into the water and get him though. She didn't go into water much. She held out her hand to him wanting him to get out soon so that she could look over him and make sure he was ok.
(Where is his Guitar?)

[[he didn't bring it, since they were originally just going for a walk]]
Morph pushed himself up gingerly, stretching his shoulder which had gotten slightly bruised from his fall. He winced slightly. "Ouch... I think." He turned around to face Ara, a slightly sheepish, apologetic grin on his face. "Sorry about that. I'll be alright. Did i splash you?"
He looked down at himself. he was soaked through, only a small spot on the front of his shirt was still marginally dry. He looked over his shoulder and winced, then held up his tail to show her. "See? I get flat when i get wet." He giggled a little. He wrung out his rather matted tail gently, then shook it out, the fluff returning slightly. He walked over to her, water dripping from his clothes and stood a few paces from her, not wanting to get her any wetter.

Ara grabbed him and looked over his shoulder, moving his clothes a little and looking at the bruise. She touched its softly with her fingers, in the back of her mind noting how soft his skin was, before looking at him worried. "Promise your ok? I want you to be ok." she said just glad that he didn't seem to have anything major wrong with him. She wrapped her arms around him, not minding the wet, happily as she was just glad he was alive and breathing.

Morph winced slightly as Ara felt his bruise, but other than that, he only felt mildly sore and a little light headed. He hugged her back and held her close. He warmth felt nice through Morph’s wet clothing. He kissed her and smiled. “Yes, I promise I’m OK, just a little sore. ” He glanced surreptitiously at his hands, which were now clean, though his shirt sleeves still had a little blood on them. “Let’s wash off, OK? Then we can continue with the concerned hugging. ” He kissed her again. “Don’t want a stain, do we? ”

Ara smiled and nodded as she kissed him back. "Ok. I'll go down there behind the large rock to wash my clothes." she said as she looked at the blood on her shirt and smiled at him. She smiled as she walked over and went behind the rock. She took off her shirt and found a small rock. She got just the spot of blood wet then scrubbed it a little with the rock. She washed off the blood and repeated till it was completely gone. She washed her hands really well, making sure to get under her nails and in her cuticles.

"Alright. I'll be around here." He smiled back at her. Moving a little ways away, Morph took off his vest and shirt. The blood spot on his vest came off easily enough, the stain fading off of the materials. The shirt, however, would be a different matter. Dunking the shirt cuffs into the river, though it hardly mattered, they were wet enough anyways, he rubbed at them with a rock, frowning in concentration. Pausing momentarily, he wrung out his vest and put it back on, then continued to scrub the shirt. Once that was done, he gave his hands another wash and then moved back to the rock and spread his shirt out on it, and lay down on the grass, warming in the sun.

Ara put her shirt back on and made sure she didn't have any blood anywhere else then moved back around the rock. She smiled seeing him laying in the grass in just his vest and fought a blush. She walked over and sat next to him, looking over at him. "All better! See!" she said holding out her hands and giggling as she wiggled her fingers. She lay down next to him and looked at the bruise on his shoulder. She frowned and looked at him. "Does it still hurt alot?" she asked before softly kissing the bruise.

Morph grinned back up at her and settled back into the grass a little more, stretching out more for the benefit of drying his clothes a little faster than anything. He was only vaguely sore now, a minor ache twinging across his back from time to time. He smiled softly over at her and closed his eyes lightly when she kissed his bruise. “It really doesn’t hurt that much, just when I put pressure on it, honest.” He rolled over on his side and proper himself up on his elbow, avoiding his bruise. He smiled softly at her, content to just sit next to her without saying anything.
