Richard let out a nervous laugh, his face blood red as his skin broke out in goosebumps. Wether it was from Lorey or the cold, he wasn't sure. Thats when Enty came into the doorway, mumbling some smart remark in Aaran, throwing Richard a towel. Richard caught it but not without snapping the end of it at Enty's behind to get him back inside. Richard shook his head, stepping under the umbrella and gently leading Lorey inside again as he dried off a little. "Well I'll keep that in mind..." He mumbled more to himself.

"Please do." Lorey caught his lips in a sweet kiss before sauntering off to the kitchen to make them something hot. Druis rain must have been cold that time of year, or maybe it was just a chilly night. Whatever the case, she wanted to see if maybe there was some coffee or tea lying around to warm them up.

Richard came in when he suddenly realized he had left their bags in the speeder. He sighed annoyed then looked to Enty with an evil grin. "Since you suck at knocking... you can go get our bags...dont drop them!" He warned grabbing enty by the ruff of his neck, throwing him out the door into the rain.

"Did you just chuck Enty out the door?" Lorey asked with a little warning in her voice. "Even if he did walk in..."

Richard shrugged, watching Enty from the window as he ran to the speeder in the pouring rain.
"Eh, you shoulda heard the comments he made... I should do worse to him." He smirked, watching the little furball struggle with the luggage.

"I'm not sure that I want to know." Lorey wondered what things he had said, though, content as she was with not knowing for sure. She'd been nothing but kind to Enty. It hurt her a little bit to think he would make a joke at her expense.
"Would you like anything? I found some old, but still sealed tea in the cupboard."

Richard nodded to her offer with a smile. "It wasn't anything too bad... mostly making fun of me.. .that little guy is just a fuzzly lil pervert..." He chuckled, recalling all the times he'd messed with Raquel.
Thats when something Ironic hit him. "I bet this is how Damian felt every time I seemed to interrupt him and Raquel!" He laughed, shaking his head. "He'd be more than happy he got his payback through enty..." He took a seat, running the towel over his head roughly. "Horny Bastard...." He mumbled, purly to himself.

"Yes, but Damian doesn't have the beliefs that you do. I don't ever see him telling any girl that he'd want to wait until marriage."
Damian, as far as she knew, was a good person who just couldn't stop himself completely from getting too close. In her heart, she knew he would have tried that with her at some point had she given in to his advances, and her refusal probably would have been the end of them because of his frustrations.

Richard nodded, thinking on it. "Yes but thats the life he grew up in. I suppose... you know if I was in an environment where I was filthy rich, and women threw themselves at me constantly, I'd be a horn dog too..." He laughed a little, though stopped realizing he was sort of defending or validating Damian, which gave him chills.

"I think he's actually starved of affection. It's nice to see that he's found Raquel, though."
Lorey had to stop and think, though.
"What made you the way you are? Most men would have taken their chance right then. If Enty hadn't come in... you probably would have and I would have, too, but what made you think after that we should still wait?"

Richard blushed a little, leaving the towel over his head as he thought. "...Well...Rose... and I ....we weren't exactly as pure as my parents thought when we married..." He swallowed a little, rubbing his neck as he pulled the towel away, his hair tussled and still a little damp. "We succumbed to our desires before our wedding...much much before.... I know I felt guilty. Not only because she had that little girl dream of losing her 'purity' in a magical wonderful way...not in the back of my speeder.." He looked ashamed to a certain degree. "I felt like I talked her into it, since...well I had been with a few other women in that way when i was in school...many actually..."
He furrowed his brow. "Though I loved her. The only regret I had was not giving her the fairy tails she wanted... I wasn't her prince coming ot the rescue... I was just the cocky militant who knew how to talk my ways into girl's pants... She got me to drop that quick, I just wish I could have been that perfect knight the entire time. I hated feeling like I was forcing her into anything... I was her first... " Richard looked a little sad.
"I know she loved me dearly... but sometimes I wonder if thats why she wanted to get married... that's the way she was raised. Maybe she just learned to love me after being obligated..." Richard fell silent, not moving an inch, simply staring at a spot on the table.

Lorey looked quite sad at that. She came to him, wrapped her arms around his neck and spoke from the heart in her quiet, patient way that she had.
"Richard... One time, when I was talking with Raquel, she told me about Rose, and how every time she talked about you, she sounded like she was crazy for you. It was in her eyes that she loved you, and I don't think something like that can be learned."
"And if you were to her like you are to me, if you were so gentle, and gave her that look in your eye, the one you have when you think I can't see... Then I know she must have been so happy." Talking about Rose always made Lorey choke up, because even when they were about to get married, a part of her wished Richard still lived with Rose and had that life with her, while she stayed in the background of their happiness.
"As for your fairy tales... " she continued. "Maybe you didn't give her those because there were still some things in life that you had to go through, but I know that you have given me things that I could only have thought possible in a fairy tale. You picked me up when I was homeless and we were homeless together. You showed me love, made me fight for it even if you didn't mean for that to happen..." Lorey started tearing up, though they all stuck to her lashes. She wouldn't start crying then, not after they were so happy.
"And look where we are, in a house that we thought would take years of searching and we're going to be married. I know that with me, you're maybe trying to make up for what you didn't do before, but... I'm so thankful you are, because I... I learned not to ask for anything. You overwhelm me with happiness, and I know Rose must have felt the same way."

Richard swallowed, looking Lorey in the eye, fighting back his own tears. Like child, he gently draped his arms around her waste, still sitting, laying his head on her chest. He could here her little heart beat faintly through his own breathing and love for her. He said nothing though. What was there to be said? Lorey was just so perfect for him it brought tears to his eyes. She made him so happy, He hoped she could see that.

Lorey cradled him a bit and stroked his hair as he held her tight. Having him listening to her heart got her and she, too, was fighting tears. Happy tears, though, because she had everything she needed in one person and place.
"No worries when you're doing everything so well, Richard. My baby."

Richard muttered something muffled into her but it was to hard to tell what, and it didn't really matter. He just loved having her so close without too much sexual tension. She took care of him as he took care of her...
It was about then that Enty returned, looking pissed and wet, dropping the luggage on the floor, mumbling profanities as he stalked off to find somewhere to dry off. Richard pulled away only long enough to laugh. "Well looks like we have dry clothes now..." he sighed, not wanting ot pull away though.
