"Now, baby sister," Lythias hissed, "Stand." With little control over herself, Jade stood up. She was fighting still, but she couldn't break the hold Lythias had over her. "Now, go find the girl, and bring...her...back..." Jade fought hard, she managed to bring herself to her knees and say, "no..." with a great weakness in her voice. "I'd rather die...than be...your damned, retreiver!" She hissed breathlessly.
He intensified the hold he had on her, causing her to drop on her side in agony. She was still screaming, "NO!!" while pulling at her hair and wincing on the ground. "Don't do this! Don't!!" Tears were streaming out of her eyes, which were blood red in color. "You leave me no choice," Lythias said with mock sorrow in his voice. Her father sat in his chair, with a cold smile on his face as he watched the scene unfold.

Adin stormed in the chamber, his eyes black cold. He hit Lythias across the face " YOU DAMN ARSE HOLE!! " he pulled out his sword.
Hitting Lythias over and over again without him being able to react.
" HOW DARE YOU TREAT HER LIKE THAT, SHE'S YOUR OWN SISTER!!" Adin, was screaming in rage towards him.
He knocked Lythias to the ground and put the sword towards his neck, driving the tip of the blade into him. Lythias could not move, Adin was holding him his veins in his arms bulging out strongly, having a hold of Lythias.
" LEAVE HER ALONE OR I SWARE I WILL KILL YOU. "
Another man came into the room with the speed of lightning and had Lythias's father. he put a sword towards his neck as well but harshly.

"Not if I have her kill you first," he whispered smugly, his face bruised and lip bleeding. And before Adin could react, Jade kicked him hard to the face, knocking him off her brother. Her eyes were bloodred, her fangs peering out of her lips, pressing against the bottom one. Her nails were extended and dark. Within a matter of seconds, she was backflipping towards the man that had her father, upon reaching him, she grabbed him by the throat and threw him to the other side of the room into the wall.

Adin winced in pain for a moment and looked at Jade,his eyes still cold, then got back up angrily and hit Lythias again, then drove his sword into Lythias's heart.

He screamed and cursed angrily, and threw Adin off of him, as he burst into flames, whatever hold he had on her, dropped, and with that, she passed out. Her father saw this, and managed to escape before anyone could notice.
Jade was weak and barely breathing as she laid on the floor, her appearance turned back to normal.

Adin hit into a wall, and was laying on his back gasping.. he closed his eyes for a moment in silence, Adin's friend got up and came towards his side
" Adin are you alright? " Adin managed to nod. His friend then left the room in search for Lythias's father..
Adin opened his eyes staring at the ceiling, then got to his knees, and barely made it to Jade's side. He knelt down beside her.
" Jade..., Jade.. it's me Adin " he said to her barely more than a whisper.

Jade came to, but faintly, she managed to smile though as she said, "I told you...I told you, I'd hold 'em off...," and with that, she passed out again.

Adin shook his head and smiled slightly, He picked her up carefully with all the strength left that he had in him, and left the chamber. As soon as he got out of the place he put Jade on his horse, and they headed towards the healers and Leah.
When they arrived the healer told him to place Jade on an extra bed, and that he should get some rest too. He wasn't aloud to see Leah though, but heard that she was doing better and they finally got the Rash'a naw off of her.
Adin plopped down on the bed and blacked out into darkness, falling asleep.

Images of murder, battle, and chaos went through Jade's mind as she slept. Her forehead was laced in sweat as she mumbled under her breath. She saw fire, people being slain, but not the ones responsible. Eyes, she saw eyes, that were blood-red as they gazed upon her and imitated her every move.
She managed to evade the attacker's assault but found herself pinned between it and a pillar. It had her against the wall, it's body was engulfed in darknesss as it had her by the throat. Jade managed to choke out, "Who-who-are you?" And the being moved out of the shadows and into the light, showing Jade her face, while saying, "Foolish Evelyn, I am you..." but before Jade could utter a reply, the being reached into her chest and tore her heart out. Jade woke up screaming.

Adin was still sleeping, and Leah was drinking medicine. when she heard Jade scream, she jumped and dropped the vile and it shattered. Leah was still weak and in bed, she looked towards jade. " Jade?..what's wrong? " she said above a whisper.

"It..it all felt, so real..," Jade mumbled breathlessly while checking to see if her heart was still in her chest. She placed a hand on her temple, for now her head hurt. She looked to Leah, and was glad to see that she was okay, then she said, "It was just a bad dream, nothing more. How are you doing?"

" I'm doing okay.. " she replied, the healer came in and picked up the glass and cleaned up the medicine and made her some new, Adin started mumbling in his sleep saying Jade repeatedly. Leah raised her eyebrow and looked at Jade in a questioning look.
Adin's dream: He was having a memory of his past in his young adult hood when he was a teen, he and Jade were outside in the forest talking and hanging out together secretively , then all of the sudden Lythias came and took away Jade and he tried to help her but Lythias kicked him in the face. Jade!! he screamed not wanting her to leave. That was the last time he had saw jade..
Adin lied there and rolled onto his side alseep, with sweat on his forehead. He had a small concussion and was starting to get a fever.

Jade began to blush, as she figured that she had some explaining to do with Leah. She decided that she would do so later as she crept out of the bed and grabbed a washcloth off of a table, dampened it with the cool water she found in a basin and went to his side. "I'm here, I'm here Adin," she whispered to him as she gently wiped the sweat away. She felt his neck and realized that he was growing feverish. She kept dampening his forehead with the cloth in hopes that it would keep him cool. She stayed by him until a healer came with his medicines.

Leah tilted her head watching them, " I'm guessing i missed quite a lot.. " she said. She smiled a little and a healer came to her checking on the wound on her arm.
the healer came by Adin and made him drink the medicine, he woke up slowly. " Ugh.. that is disgusting " he tried to push the medicine away but the healer, forced it to him. " fine " he drank the rest of it, and sat up in bed but lied his head back thinking.

Jade smiled as she remembered back when he gave her the vile of, whatever it was, for her head and how she reacted to it in a similar way. She whispered quietly to him, "Lady Payback has paid you a lovely visit hasn't she?" she smiled at him warmly and then went back to her bed. She turned to Leah now and explained to her in a whisper all that she knew about her and Adin, starting with the fact that they weren't kin, and ending with the fact that, she barely remembered her childhood and the days she spent with him and that it was probably because her brother had been wiping her memories as he took possession of her.
