Kikyo acted like she was dusting herself off.
"So, what's up, Sensei?" she asked, hoping not to get yelled at or snapped at about "gambling" Cross's life.

"Nothing much. Now it's lunch time." Sakura said simply, pulling out three boxed lunches. She handed one to each of them.
"You're not gonna eat sensei?" Cross asked.
"No, I ate before I came." Sakura said, smiling. She already liked this group. Something told her they were bound for great things.

With a sigh Di Shi slowly walked to his temple, he lived there ever since he could remember. The monks at the temple said his parents had abandoned him when he was a young baby. The monks at the temple raised, and taught him. Instead of walking all the way to the temple he saw a tree and got in a position to pray. "Please watch over the new friend that helped me out today. May the light shine upon her."

"Thanks, Sensei." she said, accepting one of the boxed lunches with a small bow.

After praying Di Shi got up. And looked up at the tree. "You're lucky, you don't have to prove to everybody that you can be a ninja, all you have to do is just stand there, and be a tree. How hard can that be? That might be the only thing I could be good at..being a tree."
Di Shi sighed "Time to go then, I want to go back to the training field, maybe they will let me watch them" Di Shi once again headed back to the training field, this time he wont try and hide.

Kari had watched silently as the scene played before her, she didn't talk much around strangers, as she had previously mentioned, so she wasn't going to break that streak now. She relaxed when the boy left and accepted the boxed lunch. She sat down and opened it, grinning when she saw a rice ball and sushi, her favorite!

Cross ate his meal in relative silence. It was one of the rare times when he'd shut the hell up.

Di Shi made his way through the training gates, and saw that students were eating. The thought of food alone made his stomach start to growl. He couldn't remember the last time he had anything to eat, let alone anything decent.
Standing there Di Shi made a failed attempt to keep his eyes off the food. but realized that he was actually drooling. How pitiful a ninja, drooling over a little bit of food.

Kikyo noticed Di Shi, and looked at her lunch. She threw it to him frisbee style.
"Take it. I don't need it," she said, tossing her chopsticks so they landed on the box.

"Uhh, No..I couldn't" Di Shi said dropping the package, and rushing to pick it up, but instead he moved it further away. Di Shi walked towards the package, but accidentally kicked it even further away.

"Thank you" Di Shi said meekly as he finally grabbed the package. He tears in to the package, says a quick prayer, and right before he started to eat he sneezed, spilling the food everywhere on the ground.

Di Shi looked down and the ground, trying to hold back tears. He looked back up at the others staring at him, and started to laugh weakly "Well, I wasn't that hungry anyways." He tried to act like it didn't bother him.
