jellysundae this is interesting! Food can have very strong assossiations with something for a person and it will effect them their whole lives! the scent or savour of a dish can bring back long forgotten memories. i went on a trip to Manchester with a friend about 17 years ago, we spent a good day roaming the city, one of the places we visited was china town. We went down into a very quaint shop where i purchased a can of coconut flavoured drink, it was delicious! later that day we visited a funfair, now against my better judgement my friend pursuaded me to go on this particular ride with him, needless to say i was sick as a dog! After that i couldn't even smell coconut for years without feeling sick, the mind is an immensely powerful thing! I have a few food aversions for similar reasons. One is a chicken parmigiana tv dinner as well as a certain type of frozen pizza, both of which I couldn't see, smell, or think about without getting nauseous just because I had been taking antibiotics that made me nauseous when I ate them. And my best friend Carrie and I both ate soft pretzels at the mall before heading home, and on our way home got in that horrible life-changing head-on collision. Neither could stand the thought of eating soft pretzels again for MANY years, and I always wonder, after eating out and having an especially good meal, "I BETTER not get in an accident on our way home! Because then I won't be able to eat this again!" I do like pomegranate seeds because they're so rare and exotic and I never really got them as a child because they were expensive, so the few times I got to try some, it was like a delicacy. My dad used to have a HORRIBLE aversion to onions and everything about them. Pretty much a FEAR of onions, and this was irrational to his analytical thinking, so the way he cured it was to immerse himself in knowledge of onions. He studied them, he read about them, he bought them, dissected them, inspected them, loved them. That cured his fear, and he can eat onions that my mom cooks into dishes, and he's no longer afraid.

luckycharm1977 Okay...I'm lost....what's wicked???? question just a brief history on the Wickeds... ok...let see....it all started with WickedBlackberry being created cause i thought the name was cool....it spread to sunny who made WickedBlackberry a sister, WickedStrawberry.....after that it seem to have spread off on the jelly who made WickedPeaches....and from there it has spread like a virus throughout the guild eek ...

I wouldn't say a virus, more like a manifestation of all the times our parents told us to eat our fruits and veggies...

I dunno, my mom never made us eat veggies, cause she did not like them. She liked fruit even less. Of course, she is no longer with us, might have something to do with not enough fruits and veggies. She always said the thought of eating anything that grew from dirt and bugs walked on... well, you get the idea rolleyes

There are few vegetables that I eat. I love corn, corn on the cob especially, english peas, potatoes, and string beans. But fruits I love. There are very few fruits that I don't like. LOL lol
