User Image"Huh?" He picked his head up a bit after hearing her call his name. He listened closely to everything she told him after that, taking in the fact that she was the other Heritor with more ease than even he, himself believed he would. He was surprised and it showed on his face, but he felt that everything seemed to be just right with another Shining Force in Delaine's hands. He preferred her over anyone else, after all. "Well, that's cool." He smiled and rubbed the back of his, chuckling nervously for not having noticed it before. "I'm just glad you're the one who has it." He continued to smile warmly at her, not minding that there was another Heritor and it happened to be Delaine. He thought it was actually kind of nice. "But, I didn't know snobby girls were capable of holding such power." He laughed a little, teasing her and enjoying it.

Delaine smirked at his joke, knowing that he didn't really mean it and happy that he was okay with the idea. "Well then," She held up one hand holding the tome and watched the book change into a blade, holding the hilt in her hand. "I guess that means you'll have to teach me how." She held the sword with different grips, shifting her thumb to different places to find a hold she found suitable. Her other hand went to the blade, observing its odd shape. She had held a sword only a few times before. But, Delaine had given up trying a hand using the weapon since she practically failed at swordsmanship as a child. She found the yumi and spells more to her liking, anyway. Now I guess I'll have to get used to this.

On the fringe of the Geo Fortresses' outskirts, Lieutenant Bauchos of the Noswaldian army and his soldiers made their camp.

"Lieutenant," one of the younger group members spoke up, breaking the silence,"permission to speak freely."

"Granted."

"Assuming that the legends are true and the Fortress has been awakened, won't we be facing a far greater threat than the six of us could possibly handle?"

The grizzled lieutenant looked at the recruit with a smirk.

"You know our emperor's stand on magic. We decimate the Fyrlandtians every time when it comes to those sorcerous fools. Our lord has entrusted us to observe the status of the ruins and in the event that the blades have been taken, slaughter the ones who dared to steal the glory from the Empire and return them home. If the situation appears too hairy for us, in which point, we will likely all be dead. Then, I will send one of you back to the capital to alert the High General."

The solemn and yet sadistic reply sent a chill down the spines of his subordinates, however, this was the way of things in the Noswaldian military: strength through unity, unity through faith and faith that those in control know what's best for not only themselves, but the entire world.

((I'm still waiting on my dwarf-mentor guy to be interacted with. I can't send in my troops from Noswald until after he links up with everyone and can join in suggesting the right path/defending the wielders of the swords. After that, Noswald's gonna be in the house.... >.>))

((Sorry, we need people and I've been working on other RP for a while. hehe sweatdrop ))

User ImageEdge smiled as she summoned the true form on the Holy Sword and stood up. "Guess I will, but not now." He said quietly, hearing the sound of a new voice calling from within the building somewhere. He sighed and shook his head, not wanting to meet someone else right now. It was nice to meet new people, but there was a limit for one day to Edge. He shook his head and smiled back down at Delaine. "Well, get some rest and I'll teach you how to use a blade tomorrow. Although, seeing as that's a tome, I would use spells for combat." He waved his hand as he turned around and walked off.

He walked into the main room, noticing a new face in the Geo-Fortress. Zenus was shaking his head, a bit irked from the fact the alarms were failing to go off. The doberman turned around and looked at the computer, seeming to space out. Edge walked up to the dwarf and glanced down. "You want something?" He asked, being rather rash with his words.

"Aye, lad."

The dwarf eyed the young man cautiously, as he had not expected to see a youth of this age in the bowels of the Geo Fortress ruins.

"I've come seeking the Shining Force, or at th' least, the one who holds it..."

Analyzing the young man and concluding that he would prove to be no immediate threat, sensing no blatant magical energy about him, he sighed and continued.

"I, am Klaudnir Whitebrow, of Steelforge, high priest of Murgoth. I assume that ye know where ta look fer the one who wields the blade? I've come to offer my services and guidance to the holder of the blade."

"Heh." Edge crossed his arms and grinned deviously. "You're speakin' to the Heritor, old man." Edge chuckled a bit through his teeth after he'd spoken, loving the chance to boast on the fact that he was the one who'd drawn the sword. He didn't want to draw attention towards Delaine though, so he didn't inform the stranger of this. "I wouldn't mind havin' someone as old as you around, but you sure you're not going to break your hip or anything?" he snickered to himself, looking away, the devilish grin still plastered on his face.

The gray haired dwarf couldn't help but laugh out loud at the young one's statement.

"Lad, I've seen more battles in the past five years than ye have in yer entire life,"
regaining his composure, Klaudnir's face shifted to the lad in seriousness.

"Ye be the Heritor? Show me the proof, an' after, I'll pledge meself and me wisdom ta ye."

User ImageEdge lifted his hands to eye level and swung the arm with the odd bracelet to his side. A bright light vieled his arm from view as the bracelet began to transform into the sword, appearing in Edge's hand. He held it before him, showing Klaudnir proof of his power and grinned madly. "How about that, old man?! Proof enough, for ya?"

The dwarf's eyes shot open for a moment, though they soon returned to the refuge behind his large bushy eyebrows.

"Ye hold the blade, but ye're an arrogant one. Though, that tends to come with the age. Heh."

He could see that the young swordsman was tensing up with each mention of his age.

"Why don't we make this interestin'?" he said, slinging his shield off of his back and onto his left arm.

"If ye can hit me, jes once, ye'll have my guidance and my devoted service."

His plate-mail flashed momentarily, then the shine was gone as quickly as it had appeared.

"If not... we'll do things my way."

Delaine watched as the sword transformed back into a tome and then went under the covers of the bed. Opening the book she realized that she had not used spells for a long time, and that Edge was probably right. If ever in battle she should use a method that she was at least somewhat familiar to using. After studying for a bit her eyes closed, but the sweet sleep that she had wanted ever since before the orcs attacked did not bring any rest for her. Her dreams were filled with the clashing of blades, the color of blood being a common theme. She woke up to Zhirra who had been pushing her paw on Delaine's cheek to wake her up.

"What's wrong? Look at you." The small ferret-like creature backed off a little, giving Alouette some space. Delaine got up, her hand going to her head and realizing that she was sweating. Her hands trembled and she clenched them to gain some control. "Um, just a nightmare." She explained and looked at Zhirra. "Thanks for waking me up, though." She thanked her. Delaine slowly stretched and got off the bed even though she still felt tired. After changing into a new set of clothes she began to study from the tome again until she heard a new voice nearby. Out of curiosity she walked out, Zhirra following behind and climbing on her shoulder.

Upon arriving she saw Edge facing a dwarf, but remained silent. Delaine quietly made her way to Zenus, deciding not to interfere. "Hmm..." She looked at the computer, trying to make sense of what was appearing on the monitor.

((Sorry, wasn't able to get on until like 2am...))

User ImageEdge smirked and brought his hand down to his nihonto; thinking it wouldn't be wise to use the Holy Sword for a sparring match. Edge turned to the side slightly, bent his knees, and placed his right hand over his nihonto, which was positioned against his left hip. With one fluid motion, Edge struck out at the dwarf's chest, using the back side of his blade so there would be no fatal action if his incredibly fast attack made contact.

The weapon soared in, aiming for the dwarf's torso. Klaudnir wore a wide grin, knowing he had the upper hand.

The blade collided with the area outside of his plate mail but did not touch. Instead, the magical wards placed on him prior to arriving at the ruins held tight, causing the barrier to ripple and shake temporarily before fading into nothing but the shine within his armor once again.

"Sorry lad, some foes require more brains than brawn ta defeat."

Seeing the boy's baffled expression, he lurched forward with a powerful jab, not wanting to harm him with his trusted axe, but attempting to bruise him up enough that he might learn his lesson.

Though the dwarf did thoroughly enjoy teaching such lessons.
