In all aspects, this was not the greatest compliment I ever got (probably the most twisted), but it had the most impact because of who it was from. We were riding home one day from my tennis lesson. I was telling her about how it went, and my mom said, "Well, of course you won. Even though you injure yourself so much and get sick so often, you still beat other people. It's obvious you have talent in tennis."
That was like the only direct compliment I've ever gotten from my mom.
