"Thank you very much, Miss Jerikoda!" Kartik called through. The moment he heard her footsteps going down the stairs, he practically jumped up on his feet. He rushed to the door, threw it open, grabbed the shirt, and hurriedly put on what was left behind. When he was certain he was covered correctly, the kitsune stepped forth from the room. He almost ran down the stairs, stumbling as he nearly tripped on the last stair. Upon stepping on the first level, he immediately looked around for the bovine female. His footstep would sound hurried and as his duel colored eyes caught sight upon his bovine hostess, his determination and confidence was ringing in his voice. "Miss Jerikoda, may I ask what you enjoy?" Oh the ways that question could be taken but he was so innocent with his inquiries, he thought nothing of how he worded this. He felt so excited by the idea of doing something nice for her.

Jerikoda raised a brow listening as her door was thrown open and she heard his hurried feet nearly running down her stone tower's stairs. She gave a shake of her head and she turned her red eyes to him as he nearly fell into the open. "It is an odd question to ask and in such a feverish manner. I guess you being topless top of my bed with me was too much to you. Allow me to make you some tea to calm you down Kartik sir." she said as she moved towards the small kitchen she hand on the first floor. She stood on her tip toe to reach up for some dried herb jars. "Now how do you mean what do I enjoy? That can cover quiet a bit."

Kartik blinked before laughing. He literally held his stomach. After taking a deep breath he came after her to the kitchen. "Oh Miss Jerikoda I am just fine! If you wish to have tea, I will most certainly join you of course but I hardly need it." He noticed her reaching up with some difficulty, and made a note mentally. He blinked and looked back at her. "What do you enjoy to do in your spare time? Some people like to draw, some people enjoy going for a swim. Some people enjoy music. What do you like to do?" Kartik paused for a moment. "Miss Jerikoda what else could that question cover?" He blinked. So innocent.

The bovine female flicked her ears and stopped reaching up as she lowered back down. The kitsune seemed strangly hyper all of the sudden. She turned to look at him her one hand held against her with his shirt the other one moved behind herself to rest on the counter behind her. "Well some one could take your question as why type of weather or surroundings they enjoy. Or what they would enjoy in a mate. What type of food they enjoy. It can cover quite a bit." Her near emotionless eyes looked over him. Maybe he was younger than she had first guessed. She wondered how hold he really was. Though she was sure that he was younger than herself.
"I like to look out at the lakes. Some times at night I will go for a swim in them. For the curse some of the town folk believe is on them, , does not seem to effect me just as it does not seem to effect you." she lowered her eyes from his face as she tried to think about what else she enjoyed doing when she had free time. Normally she never thought about what she liked.

Kartik blinked, "What you like in a mate? That question even covers that? Who would ask such a question?" Sooo innocent. Despite all he was, it was hard to tell exactly how long he was out from his homelands. He looked at her, "A curse on the lakes?" He shook his head. "It would seem that I have a lot to learn of this place. Would you mind talking with me when the tea is ready?" His tails flicked as his mind was racing. "Also would you happen to have some wood and a knife of anykind?" He may carried a weapon on him but that was hardly the right tool for what he had in mind.

Jerikoda gave a nod, "I will tell you all you wish to know. Though I do not think I can tell you everything by the time dawn comes. And you said you would be on you way in the morning." she turned around slowly to reach up and get the tea this time. "Not that I would mind if you stayed long. My tower is open for you as long as you like sir." she then laughed softly, "I am the witch doctor of this area. I have lots of wood and blades. So I can get you a knife and wood. What type of wood would you like?" She asked softly and turned to him again. Dispite the fact that her arm was firmly to her chest the stretching had opened her robe a bit to show the curve of her breasts. "If you would not mind, could you please place the kettle near the fire?" She motioned her head to the brass kettle on the counter next to her.

"Well who knows? With how little I seem to understand, I might have to hang around to learn more before I leave. I just wish not to be a bother to you, Miss Jerikoda." He beamed. "Thank you. I was thinking of a thick piece of wood, fairly large if you would happen to have any spare." His eyes caught sight of her robes and immediately dashed somewhere else. 'Don't make this weird for her!' he chanted in his head and he coughed, closing his eyes. It was already obvious though from the flush that ran across his cheeks. "Pardon me, Miss Jerikoda. I will gladly get the kettle for you. Please excuse my saying so, but your robes seem to be *cough* unsuitable currently." Only peeking out with one eye, he quickly reached for the kettle, almost stretching to get it to try and keep a distance to show her respect. 'Don't look' he reminded himself in his head. The moment his fingertips grabbed the top well enough to clutch it, Kartik ran out of the kitchen to give her privacy and doing ask she requested, setting it down beside the fire.

Jerikoda looked down at her chest and nods, "I am sorry I did not see that." she shifted to close her robe. He seemed to be getting more nervous as the night wore on. Maybe he was getting far more tired that he seemed. "After tea I will leave you to sleep and we can talk more tomorrow until I am called to the town for a job. But I am sure I will be free and answer what ever you like." she scooped two spoonfuls of herbs into two mugs and then made her way into the living room where Kartik's bed was set up. "You can pick any log you like from the stack of logs. I will get you a blade." she set the mugs down and moved over to one of the tables. "I think you shall be called upon more than I tomorrow." She looked over at him. "Those girls in town will want you to return and stay in an Inn."

Kartik sat down on the ground, on top of his legs in a very oriental style. "I respect if you have had a long day. You should rest to help hasten the recovery of your arm as it is." Hearing her comment, he shook his head. "Those girls can want all they like. Personally, I was thinking that since I know so little, maybe you wouldn't mind showing me around, teaching me the ways of this land since I apparently am so unaccustomed to its culture." He smiled to her gently. "We can talk and I can learn at the same time. Would you mind being a guide for me?"

Jerikoda set the mugs down near him and then she slowly moved over to the fire. She sat down on the bed she had made for him and tended the kettle. "Well the longer you stay with me sir the more you will gain a stigmata from being with me. I am not well liked here...incase you had not seen earlier." She then could not help but wonder if he was so against the females because he was more into wanting a male companion. She gave a shrug at her thought then looked back at him. "well I will take care of you as best I can. If you wish to stay for longer than a day I will make you a room to stay in. It will be ready by morning. I am sorry that you will have to stay here for the night though."

Kartik gently looked at her a sincere gaze was upon her. "If you had not noticed earlier, Miss Jerikoda, my beliefs and cultures are about respect for all around me. Those who show none, deserve none. Including none of my time. So I hardly care if such disrespectful people think ill of me. I'm a traveler and a stranger to them as it is. You have shown me kindness, patience and respect. It is your time that I will share." He then stared into the fire. "This is more than I deserve; thank you for allowing me to stay here and the warmth of your fire. I am grateful for this much so there is no need to put yourself out more on my account." He looked at her. "Miss Jerikoda, forgive me if this question is too forward, but why do you stay in this place where the people are so cruel to you? Why not travel to a land that would accept you with a warm reception and be grateful for your skills?"

The bovine female gave a nod. "It is not too forward. And the answer is simple. This is all I have ever known. My parents were the doctors here. I learned from them when I was really young. And I love my tower and the lakes." She smiled lightly then nods, "I do not know how well I would be traveling. Though maybe when you return home from your travels I will come and join you for a time. See your home, though I do know you have no intention to go back soon." She turned her gaze to look over him. "There is no need to thank me. And I will not subject you to being down here when people call so I will have a room ready for you tomorrow." She turned and reached for the kettle filling the mugs with the hot liquid and watching the herbs swirl in the water.

Upon her pouring the water, Kartik bowed his entire body, with palms on the ground to her over his cup then sat up straight, turned the cup several times then lifted it to take a sip. "This is very good. Thank you Miss Jerikoda." Staring over at her he smiled, "I believe in always thanking such a kind hostess. So please expect to hear it more often." Kartik looked up at the ceiling. "I would like to take you back to my homeland since you would be treated so differently and with such respect. However," He looked down into his cup, "Your opinion of me may greatly change." A sigh of sorrow and regret escaped passed his lips before he smiled as if it was a passing breath. "No matter. I would be willing to take that risk just to see you treated better. No one deserves this backlash that they treat you with." He then thought for a moment, "Miss Jerikoda, if you get called upon tomorrow to do something, may I accompany you to see more of what you are asked of by this community?"

Jerikoda watched as Kartik bowed and went threw a ritual that must be from his homeland. She was about to respond to his comment on always thanking her when he continued on. She took her own tea and took a sip of it before she spoke. "Thank you very much sir for your very kind offer. I would enjoy seeing your land some day. And I can safely say that my opinion of you is nearly already fixed. Even if you were to ignore me as a protocal in your homeland based on your status I would still not think poorly of you. But I would not wish you discomfort in returning to a place you flee."
She took another few sips of her tea then gave another nod. "Well if you wish then I will allow you to follow me if I get called out. We will know in the morning what type of day I will have. And if you get bored you are welcome to walk about the town. If you wish to see it I can show you when I am not busy. Though you wont get as warm a welcome with me at your side."

"Well in my lands, I must behave in certain ways, just as you would be treated according to those customs." He smiled to her. "Thank you. I would prefer to assist you in any way that I could during these times. I like to learn as much as I can." He took a good long sip of his tea allowing a silence between them to fall. Those eyes searched within the flames as if it told him a story. "Once I learn all I can here, we can travel to my home, and I can return your courtesy for having me here."
