Irissë nodded, wiping the wet plate, "I hope there's no mold on it. I would literally drop the plate and run away screaming." She gave him a weak smile, "I guess we'll have to make this extremely clean." placing the plate in the cupboard, she continued, "But its not bad cleaning. It's actually quite...fun."

Aubrey puffed his chest slightly. "None of my plates have mold, I can assure you. I scrub every one after use."
He looked her over a moment before grinning. "Glad you enjoy it. Would you like to try scrubbing a few?"

Irissë's smile widened, "That's good then." she shook her head, "No. Not yet. I'll watch a little more. I'm nervous that I'll get mold on the plate."

Aubrey nodded. "All right then." He went on scrubbing the dishes, holding them away from his self and exaggerating his movements so Irisse could better see what he was doing. "Just make sure you rub all around the plate, even the bottoms, and dry both sides. If there's a little dampness it'll just air-dry. As long as it's not pools of water they'll be good."

Irissë nodded, watching him like a student watching their teacher. She rubbed the plate dry then held up her towel, "Do you think its possible I can get a dry one? This one's probably too saturated to hold anymore water..."

Aubrey sighed. "Sorry. I've been meaning to get better towels." He turned and pulled out a dry one from the drawer. Taking the wet towel, he rang it out and hung it over one of the chairs to dry before returning to the sink. "Looks like we're almost done with this."

Irissë couldn't help but smile, "I don't think its quality that matters. I'm sure even the best towel won't be able to hold water at some point." she took another dish, rubbing it dry with the new towel. "So what do you want to do after this?"

Aubrey chuckled. "A good towel will hold more than that one, sure enough." He was scrubbing at a sticky spot in a bowl and paused at the question. "Well.... I'm not sure." He glanced over. "Is there anything in particular you'd like?"

Irissë rubbed at the bowl thoughtfully,"Hm. I don't know..." she paused, "How about your vegetable garden outside? I would like to see that. If that's okay with you that is."

Aubrey's tail flicked excitedly. "Sure. It's perfectly fine." He hung both towels on a rack to dry and headed for the door and outside.
The garden lay at one side and toward the back, taking up more land than the actual house. It was filled with veggies and a few fruits. One corner was reserved for herbs. Sunflowers were just starting to bloom at the back of it. "Here it is." He said, a hint of pride in his voice.

Irissë followed Aubrey in anticipation. She smiled wide at the growing vegetation before trotting over to the blooming sunflowers, fingering the leaves. "Home-grown plants must taste better than the ones bought at the marketplace right?" she turned away from the flowers to squat down next to the vegetables, "I mean it would taste better cause its your own hard work."

Aubrey cocked his head. "It might. Go ahead and pull something if you would like to try. I can rinse it first if you want to." He himself plucked off a red tomato, brushing it off and taking a large bite. "Food from a garden is usually fresher by a day or two than the market." He said as he wiped juice from his chin. "Have to be careful who you buy from to get the best produce."

Irissë shook her head, "No. It's alright. I'll just look." she looked at him and smiled, "That makes sense. Because its attached to the plant for longer I guess..."

Aubrey nodded. "And it has to be stored properly on its way to market, otherwise it could bruise or overheat and go bad." He smiled back. "You're welcome to stop by and grab a bit if you like after you leave. I usually have more than enough for myself and the market."

"It's very kind of you, but it's alright." Irissë smiled, "My mother would bombard me with questions if I suddenly came home with a bunch of vegetables in my hands." She stood back up, "You must make a lot at the market don't you?"
