"Seung!" Nima yelled after the kids, shocked that the boy would just take her like that. She hoped the boy knew someplace safe for them. Fingers shaking, she pulled out her wand, just in case. The mage tried to breathe evenly despite her rising panic. "O-okay...any ideas how we get out?"

The door opens easily. When Lethe moves to go inside, however, it immediately slams shut again as if someone has thrown their weight against it from the other side.

When the noise had stopped, Kumoru ventured to remove his hands from his ears, and immediately set about casting another light spell to add to the first. He walked slowly closer to Aylana and Amaris as he did so, bringing the first light with him.

Once he had two lights, he glanced down at the winged Fa'e and the young woman already attending to her. Stupid as it might have sounded, the necromancer silently agreed that going to the basement did not seem like the best of ideas.

"Aylana, are you alright?" Kumoru asked, fighting to keep his voice as smooth and calm as possible. He was a /mage/, so there was no reason tricks of this sort should frighten him.

Oh, ew. This place was disgusting now. And... creepy. Even Dusty would admit that it was a little scary.

Swallowing her nerves down, Dusty pulled the wooden sword off of her back and moved a little closer, her hooves clapping loudly on the icky ground as she tried to catch up with Lethe. Now she was armed, and if anything tried to scare her... well, she'd make it sorry, for sure!

"Waitup!" She called after her blue-ribboned goal, not wanting to get left all alone.

((Should probably move Lethe and Dusty's posts into a different room. 3nodding ))

Aylana glances up at Amaris before she winces as the noise cut right though her mind. It cause her to curse in every langauge she knew as she stood laying her hand on top of Amaris hand "What is going on?" she turns back seeing the door had indeed up alive.

Her face pales before she wraps her wings around her body protecting the littles ones within her. Great this was not what she needed, not only did she get caught in the storm not the damn Headquarters was haunted. What more could go wrong?

Glances at the two near her she bites her lip studying the door, okay so leaving was not happening. Turning her head she glances behind her seeing the others had already ran ahead of them. With a nod to Kumoru she smiels "I'm fine, but I think we need to catch up with the others. I would rather not stay here and see the door come off its hindges.."

The door certainly did seem to be straining to do just that; flecks of a sticky black drool were dripping down its front from the mouth-panels, and the wood creaked with the effort to keep it solid in one place.

"I.. I don't know," she stammered, frowning. "One minute me and those kids were fooling around with something called a Yes board and the next..." She gesticulated wildly to the grotesque scenery around her but then regretted it. Aylana really didn't need to see it.

She panicked and felt at her side. Her knife was still strapped to her leg - that was one good thing, at least, and she grimaced. She hoped she wouldn't have to use it, because if it came down to it, she probably couldn't.

"Moving.." Amaris wrinkled her nose, then looked back up at Kumoru.

"Will you be able to protect the both of us if something funny comes leaping out?" She said flatly. "Cuz if you die I could at least use your body.."

"LETHE!" Cerena screamed after her, breaking for the empty entryway into the inner hallway. "Don't run off!! ...agh.." She sniffled, trying to work up the courage to venture after her and failing. Hopefully the girl had caught up with her friends, and, you know, wouldn't be eaten or anything.

Still somewhat frozen after her near-door experience, Arrien hadn't puzzled out that the kids were gone until she heard Cerena calling after Lethe.

"... Oh, s**t. OH s**t. Where's Dusty? Where're... all the kids?" Scrambling to her feet at laast and edging away from the door, Arrien all but ran into Kumoru (him seeming the most sane one there at the moment) to grab the front of his robes in a panic. "YANI WILL SKIN ME ALIVE IF HIS KID GETS FREAKED. WHERE IS MY DEERKITTEN."

Nima quivered at the sight of the door. Some things, she could handle. Living bleeding doors were not among those things. Panicking, she fired a jet of water at the door from her wand. Most of it hit the wall from her hand shaking. The mage staggered backwards away from the door, managing to trip over Cere as she did so.

"Of course," Kumoru replied, as though Amaris had asked him if the sun came up in the morning. "And I honestly doubt my body would make a good shield if I died," he added, not considering that the other woman might have powers similar to his own.

Suddenly, he was grabbed and shaken by another hysterical female. The necromancer tried to pry her hands from his robes, and told her truthfully in a somewhat toneless voice, "I wasn't paying attention to them. But if you would like one of my light spells, I can direct it to follow you." His own eyes were already starting to adjust to the dim light in the room, but the small lights still helped considerably.

The water hitting the door was all it needed. With another furious rake-chalkboard howl, it lurched forward; the mouth-panelss detached themselves from the wall, landing on the floor in lumpy hunks of wood. They didn't seem all that dexterous, just clunking on the ground towards the water mage in an awkward, unnimble fashion. Almost pathetic little things, really.

At least, they were up until the point that the floorboards tore themselves off the ground, reaching with clawed and splintered hands to grab the mouths and begin lurching towards the water mage in sap-covered, dog-sized assemblies of sharp wood and teeth.

"Yeah, sure," she mumbled in reply, then turned looked around forlornly.

"Does anyone know the layout of the HQ well?" She said to the room in general, then paused and wrinkled her nose. "Well.. when it's not tripping out beyond belief, that is.."

She opened her mouth to suggest possibly waiting around in here to use any other unfortunate soul who stumbled in as a meatshield or possibly as a ritual sacrifice, but one look at the drooling door quickly set her straight and she tried to help Aylana up and as far away from the door as possible.

Morty didn't like going to the HQ. Airi was there, and her nasty a** fairies were there, and usually Airi supporters went to the HQ... But he had backup now. His gaurdian, or rather, his mother had woken up, and despite the fact that he himself was often considered intimidating looking, there was nothing like a six foot teenage boy hiding behind his mom. Morty was still on his miniature quest to make sure that every fa'e knew about the whole drama about Airi so that he could get to them before she could, and the headquarters were usually the best place to go. The plan, however, seemed to be all messed up by the horrible weather.

The german woman held the partially torn up umbrella above herself and her son, scowling at the stormclouds. "Bullshit!" She swore loudly, staring angrily upwards. There was something that bugged her to no end about storms, she couldn't remember what it was though. Just got under her metaphorical skin. But as long as her son wanted to come here, she would go, she kinda owed him that for missing out on his childhood.

"Mum, it's ok, we can just go inside. I know how much you hate the rain." One of the few things he recalled. Morty outreached a paw to turn the knob when they were sucked through. His jaw dropped when they found themselves inside the HQ. This was NOT what it was supposed to look like, despite the fact that they had redecorated. Eyes flared open and his tail tucked itself between his legs, wings curling up around his shoulders as he grabbed onto his gaurdians.

Meanwhile, Kochi stood, a bit shook up from being oddly moved. But otherwise, she stood with her arms folded across her chest, folding up the umbrella and scouting out the area. The woman was absolutely unmoved by the grotesque surroundings, and glancing over her shoulder at Morty. "Vut? Vut is the problem?"

Cerena shrieked and fell down on her tush as someone tripped over her; her state wasn't helped at all at the sight of the door ripping itself out of its restraints.

"This is just a nightmare," she announced loudly, voice shaking, "I am going to slam my head into the floor and wake up, okay?!"

She did so. It didn't help at all.
