Scubas_girl they are just Judgemental.... I have a question, or two... okay, my boyfriend doesn't have a set religion. He has beliefs of his own, but its confusing. Can, and should I, convert him to my beliefs or similar pagan beliefs? Same with my friend, the one that asks me for spells. I want her to be a pagan. She is very deep and a very understanding person. Should I see if she might consider changing? If so, what should I show her? Or is it bad for pagans to try and convert others? Especially me, because im an eclectic pagan?
Theres nothing bad about being eclectic, nothing wrong with it, no restrictions as to what you can and cant do as opposed to another branch (except for the rather small things...). Eclectic doesnt mean noob, it means taking from different things and making something thats entirely your own.
As for your friend, if shes interested, its always nice to have a study buddie, even if they dont follow you all the way on it. I had like 3 or 4, and it was better than being TOTALLY alone. They didnt follow onward with Paganism, but they know a great deal more about it and are the wiser for it.
Dont convert people. Leave that to the more zealous religions xp

okay, thank you.
Would it be bad to ask my boyfriend to participate in some spells with me?
and OMG!!!! I was talking to my mom, and when i brought up pagan and wicca, instead of shooting it down, she actually listened to me! I explained about the pentagram and what some believe and the wide variety. She didnt say one thing mean!! omg, im so happy.
AND she is allowing me to buy some tarot cards and a ouje (sp) board. That was unheard of when my mom and my step dad were together. I think that she became more open.
I want to be open with her about my beliefs, i mean, i told her i was bi, and she execpted it. I think that she just though it was some high school thing, and who knows, it might be.
but what does everyone else think???

"Because...I wanna be one" *starts flaming me* "Do as you will but I have made up my mind" lol, that's not how it happened xD we were talking about some show, then I asked her "do you know what a pentagram is?" and she said "yes" i asked her what she thought about it and she said "devil worshipers wear it" so i explained it all to her. She didn't even know that originally the star pointed up, she only knew about the one that points down. Then we kinda just talked casually about it. I asked her is she minded the ouji (sp) board, she kinda just laughed and said she didn't mind if I got one, because she used to use one too! lol, i cant imagine my mom doing that xDD But yeah, we stopped cuz her boyfriend came her...
