She nodded and began disrupting each secondary barrier layer before reforming it around herself. When she got to the outer layer she began pulling it in. Closing her eyes as she concentrated, Small signs of the inner barriers wavering as she pulled the final one in. The gathered electricity becoming far more concentrated.

"Keep going until it's like a Spandex suit!" He barked, revealing his staff once more.

She nodded "Alright, I'll try."
She forced the barrier against herself, soon it was tight save still only layered over her clothing. A short while later and the barrier was completely wrapped around her body forming a spandex-ish outfit.
She looked herself over.
"Huh, useful trick, but won't loosing the padding mean concussive force carries through?"

"Who told you you'd be loosing the padding?"
He twirled his staff.
"At the moment I strike, you expand it! And when I pull back, you contract! The process repeats, and in turn, your armor acts as a formidable defense and defense! THIS IS THE KEY TO THE SPLEPHNIR RUN!"
Grounding his feet he took a stance.
"I'll hit you first in 5 second intervals, so you can get used to the expanding and contracting? ready! begin!"
With that word, he struck.

She expanded the shield quickly, still getting moved a bit by the hit. At the four second mark she had returned it to normal, ready to defend again.
"Sleipnir?"
She kept her energy senses focused on Dazing. Waiting for the telltale signals before he'd attack.

He would keep the 5 second interval pace.
"Yes, the Steed of the Norse God Odin. It had 6 legs."
He struck again.
"If it were real it'd be the fastest land animal alive!"

She gave up concentrating on energy sensing upon seeing he was being honest with his timings. Her barrier flicking out in under a quarter of a second soon enough. While condensing took about three now that her mind was somewhat clearer.
"I suppose this technique you're talking about will make me faster then?"
A part of her smirked at the prospect of being able to run like that accursed form she had managed to be rid of after all these years.

"Yes. In a sense. Because you can't do the 'Rai Form' or rather, because I'm hesitant to teach you, this is another way for you to learn how to 'move like lightning.'"
He continued at his 5 second intervals.
"In essence, this is but 1 part of your training. Since you're already very well adapted to moving Rai and using it on different parts of your body, notably your feet, I'm going to teach you, specifically, how to utilize Rai all over, and then, break it down to different parts again, essentially giving you the perception of stopping time."
Noticing she was getting better he stopped.
"Alright, rest now. We'll pick this up tomorrow."

"That makes sense I suppose."
She nodded and slowly released the technique, re-absorbing all the energy not wasted before bowing.
"I may have an idea or two to fake the Rai form if it's anything like what I think it is, but I suppose those ideas can wait till I see how another student learns it."
She soon was walking into the Dojo towards the room she had found that fit her needs.

The girl sat on the edge of the grounds, wearing a black sleeveless skin tight outfit, her tail wrapped around her waist. "Can't believe I still had this old thing, let alone it still works like it used to" she muttered, looking around. She decided the outfit might be a better choice if she was going to be ending up in something skin tight anyway.

"It's not like wearing something different will be much better when using the technique. just hinder me a bit more concentration wise." she muttered

He made a drunken chuckle,

He caught himself before he continued.
"Begin the process please. Hic."
With a few handseals he summoned his staff.

She shook her head.
"Drunks always think it's fun to flirt with me, even that one psycho woman" she muttered to herself.
But a moment later she had formed the barrier around herself, this time almost skipping the need to pull everything in. Soon having the barrier skintight and an extremely thin layer over her outfit. Her tail swished behind her as her mind considered another aspect, keeping it covered as well.
"Ready" she muttered, noticing he hadn't felt the need to give intervals.

"We'll only do 3 second intervals this time."
He began spinning the staff in his hands around his back.
"Halfway through I'll start disrupting your electricity oput with my own."
The first swing was coming.
"Heeyah!" He said striking at her left side.
