I'm doing Independant Learn Contract with my college and my Teacher
for Spring Quarter ^^ 8 weeks ^^. i get back a week and a half before
Graduation ^^
I'm going to study Japanses at a Laguage school in Tokyo
and also they oganize feild trips and stuff
then for Goldedn week i'm meating my friend
that lives there now and teaches there ^^
She has a frend that has an Apartment in Kyoto that they won't
be at for Golden Week so my frend and i can stay there for free ^^
It'll be so much fun. i'm looking forard to it
and i really need to get away. away from this school this small a** dinky
excues for a college town and just out of the country sweatdrop
i've been majorly stressed out this year and pluging into the
orderly chaos of Tokyo will do me alot of good ^^
I wanna get a job there and live in Japan for a few years
I'm gonna appaiy for JET and see if i can get into that.
also i'll try and look for other jobs i can do.

That's pretty exciting. I've mentioned before my sensei's setting up a trip to Nagoya and is also going to go to Hiroshima and Yamagata, the trips a steal ($800 less than my senior trip to australia was) but I have no money, and no job, and no time, bleh . . . Maybe instead I'll save up and go see my friend this fall when he's studying in Kansai . . . or maybe I'll just do JET, and after 4 weeks when I get really homesick, I'll be like "oh yeah, I'm here for a year, dang"
You applying for Jet this december? That's when I'm applying, I'm already nervous than they wouldn't choose me and I'd have to get like a real job using my degree. yuck. biggrin

I'm excided about the trip ^^ I'm going to try and apply in Decmber
I just need to find one more person for a letter of recomondation.
*sigh* I hate have to ask for thoese. I'm really shy and i hardly get to
know my teacthers well enough to ask... sweatdrop
Tho i did also herd about this other program that's like JET, but not a lot
of people know about it so it's easier to get in. It pays less than JET
but you get more time off. the big thing i hear about JET is that they work
you really really hard...
there's sooo much for me to do. i have everything on the Japanses school
end taken care of for my trip tho now theres all this stuff i have to do
on my colleges side. paper work and wavers and stuff. i still have to
submit my contract to registartion and pay for the credits...
so much to do, so little time. I leave in a month, but there's only
2 or 3 weeks of school left.... so stressful...
i hope i can hold out and get to Japan before i have a nervous break down

Speaking of stress and nervous breakdowns...
I just finished helping with my school's Anual anime con this weekend
I got up at 7am Sat and the con ended at 8 on Sunday. i got in
about 5 hours of sleep in between tho i was up until 4am before that
happened -_-
It was disorganized and highly Chaotic l like always thanx to the incomitence
of our coordinator stare
tho it went ok, could have been worse i guess...
the biggest problem was getting the anime to run on shedual.
somethings that did go well:
Seldaara will apresiate this ^^ I had them show Moonchild and the people that where in there
whatching it thought it was great ^^. and love the dork that is Gackt ^^
I had been talking with two of them
during our weekly club anime showings and had made Gackt fans out of them
woot! two more people i broght over to the Gackt side since i've gotten into
him. that makes atleast 5 people ^^ also during the dance
i got them to play Seventh Night versions of Papa lapped a pap laped and Mirror^^
DDR was a hit like always and the second day hardly anyone was there
so i got to play as much as i wanted ^^ and i did really good and didn't
bomb majorly ^^ I've wrked my way up from Beginer to light. woot!
The Yaoi room i run was also a big hit ^^ we watched Boku no Sexual Harrassment and had fun shouting fun comentary and making fun of
the Uke xd
the AMV's were good.
The Anime Dating game went well after a slow start and afterward some random person poped in with free cake biggrin
Things that went really bad:
Nothing ran on time stare
We couldn't get the Inuyasha Sessoumaru Marathoun off. when we tryed to play the eps, the sound was a good 30 sec. ahead of the video
and nothing we did could fix it stressed xp
I was the one that donated manga to the manga reading room and 4 of my
manga got stolen scream
two of them were my expensive yoai ones...Kizuna 3 and Passion
also my legal Drug and Aquarian Age 5 crying
we didn't have half the people we expected. last year we got 300 people
on the first day. this time we only got 175 on the first day and maybe 50 people the second day
i'm sore and tired from rning around for two days and still have to work
until 2am sweatdrop

Hopefully only two cause that's how many Japanese teachers there are at my school. I could probably ask one of my graphics teachers for one, but I don't know how convincing that would be . . . I've heard conflicting things about how hard it is to get into JET. I heard from a former student who did it that if you know a good amount of Japanese you're chances of being accepted are very good. But on the other hand, I asked a girl who graduated last year if all the people who graduated with a japanese minor (from my school) and applied to JET got in, and she said no. But 1 of them was doing another program (maybe the one you're talking about) still, out of 9 people who graduate with a japanese minor at my school last year, 4 of them were placed with jet, and the 5th one with someone else. So at least my school seems good at placing students.
