"Oh-ho." Ed's face broke into a wild grin. "I'm not the type to wait."
She pushed herself away from the wall, scuffing her heel against the carpet, feeling the spikes catch against the fibers for a moment. "We might get cornered if we wait. Some of us are at our best when cornered, but I dunno if we should risk that. I hate being cornered anyway."
She shrugged off shadows of fear. "I'd rather trap our enemy," Ed continued, "or get them between my jaws, or up against the wall at bladepoint. I don't care what it takes. If it's a threat, it's going down."

"Seems so, but as Ephraim said, we have to be prepared." Isadora said. "After all, it is hard to tell when the woman will strike. Even if we're safe for now, we mustn't leave our guard down."

There were moments where people's voices woke the prince from his slumber but he didn't move at all..that was..until something his his chair, knocking him to the ground. "..Ow..." he muttered, sitting up he rubbed his head and found the room empty aside from the Manakete whom was still asleep on the bed. He rubbed his head and stood up, slowly walking out the door and down the hallway.
More people were around and a few more Ephraim eyed curiously. He moved downstairs but not after getting an eerie feeling. He turned, looking around behind him. "...I must be losing it..really" and continued down the stairs into the living room where, apparantly, a cat like person was curled up on the floor. Ephraim blinked and moved aside against the wall.

"Trap our enemy?" Victoria looked curiously over to Ed, now smirking. "The idea sounds tempting, especially since I just got this little baby forged before coming here." She caressed a specially forged Divine tome. It cost quite a fortune, but with her mercanary work alongside Tristai and the jobs many fighters got in Learania, she could afford it. Besides, buying anything else with that much gold was a waste.

Isadora let a frown. "Although it sounds like a good idea, we still don't know who we are fighting besides the fact that it's a woman. So trapping the enemy will be useless if we don't know who we are up against."

"No matter what we do though, we can't stay holed up in here." Sue stated. "We'll probably be surrounded from the outside. It's how Bern defeated Ostia back in my time of Elibe. Besides that... we'll eventually run out of supplies too. Wherever we move, it's where we can access weapons and food easily... and prepare for the worst, if need be."

Renault snorted, shaking his head from his seated position. "Foolish. It's only one woman. There's no reason to move, because there's no reason to think anyone else is going to attack. And besides, we proved at Christmastime that we can stay in here indefinitely; this house is impenetrable, after all. Weapons, we have loads of; don't we have an armory? And food we can get in here easily now. So it shouldn't be all that big of a deal."

"Even if surrounding your enemies, who knows if they'll ambush you back, there is also that possibility that this person is not alone" Ephraim suggested, intruding on the two. "Pardon my intrusion" he commented and moved a little closer toward the three. He turned to the bishop and shook his head "I'd have to disagree. This woman was able to knock out a Manakete, who knows what it'll do to an actual human being. Underestimating it wouldn't be smart if we don't know what we're up against"

"Not to mention there's the Door in the basement." Isadora reminding Renault. "If that woman is planning to use the Door, there may be a chance she will come back."

Renault frowned at Ephraim. "I'm sorry, we haven't met? Anyway, in the first place Melethia isn't a Manakete, and in the second place it isn't hard to knock her out in her human form; I've done it before. But overestimating this woman and panicking won't help either."
He paused, considering Isadora's words, then turned back to the paladin with a sigh. "Now, let's not start going overboard. . . there's only one being that we know of that can open that door, and he isn't around. . . if he were, we'd have far more serious problems than some wandering girl."

"That maybe true, but Nino informed us that she found Mel and that woman in the basement and that's where the Door was." Isadora countered.

"No, we have not. This is our first time, I'm Ephraim" Ephraim commented as well as introducing himself in a rather polite manner even though he had gotten the feeling this bishop just snapped at him."Manakete or not, she was taken out in on hit, barely even a scratch was on her" the prince blinked, scratching his head a little "Did I say we were panicking? We were only discussing what the best thing to do was"

With a sigh, the bishop threw up his hands. "Fine, then decide that's the reason. It doesn't make any difference to me." Instead, he turned back to Ephraim and nodded politely. He was being talked to from two directions at once, and it was a bit hard to concentrate on one at a time. "I'm Renault; but as for that, there's a simple solution. Perhaps she was hit in the head with something. But, seeing as you're saying there's barely a scratch on her, it's more likely that magic was used, something to leach her energy out. Which in itself proves there was no battle; if there was a battle, she would have gotten damaged and there would be some sort of wounds, even if only small ones."

"Hm" Ephraim pondered "I never really thought of it as a leech magic" This got him thinking just a little bit, but this person had a chance to kill off this 'Mel' so why didn't she? A trap perhaps? No, that couldn't have been the case, they would have easily taken out all of us if they even had a chance. So absorbed in his thoughts, the prince nearly forgot he was with Isadora and Renault. "If the basement or the 'door' as you say is where the basement is" Ephraim started, turning to face Isadora "Then its likely able to teleport or warp to other places around here, not just there..least that's what I think"

The bishop looked at Ephraim for a moment, then shook his head. "Oh, that's right. . . you don't know, you weren't here. The Door leads back to our own worlds, and anyone who goes through it can't come back; at least theoretically. The only one who's opened it and actually used it has been a dark god, which is why I'm leery to just go ahead and admit that as a possibility right now."
