"How so?" Frost asked, interested. Her gaze switched to Bella, her blue eyes shining. "I'm also afraid... if Sephiroth's right, about Blaze being an inch away from insanity, if I go near him... I might be the next Aerith."

Sephiroth's face became stoic as he heard Blaze wake up. "I may not be insane or evil anymore, but you've forgotten that I don't make empty threats."

"Spare me the lecture Sephiroth," Blaze coldly retorted. His eyes traveled upwards, falling upon Bella and Frost. Seeing how upset he made Frost tore at his heart... and was also the final key. Something within him snapped. "I should go talk to her, apologize."

He strolled out of the 7th Heaven, and looked up to Frost. "Frost... can you come down here? I... I want to apologize for what I said earlier."

The blond woman looked at Bella, uncertainty and fear in her gaze.

Frost leaped from the roof, floating just a bit above the ground to slow her descent, and landed. She stepped cautiously over to Blaze. "Yes Blaze?"

"I wanted to say that I'm sorry..." Blaze stated. He drew the Sword of Flames, eliciting a quick movement from Sephiroth, who ran for Masamune stuck in the ground. "For this." Without another word, he ran the gilded blade through Frost's abdomen, shock in her eyes. As the scarlet-tressed man looked at Bella and Sephiroth, a smirk alighted itself upon his face as he withdrew the blade from Frost's abdomen, allowing her to fall to the ground.

"His sanity's gone... it's like my descent all over again," Sephiroth stated. Hefting Masamune in his left hand, he ran at Blaze, fury in his eyes.

"Stop, Sephiroth. The blow wasn't clean. She lives still. But you have a choice to make. Either you and Bella fight and pursue me, leaving her to die, or you save her and allow me to escape," Blaze flatly stated. He laughed a chilling, menacing laugh. "It's your choice."

With the insanity came control of his transformation. In only a few seconds, the red cloaked man became a fearsome scarlet and black dragon, rising into the air as his wings beat. Sephiroth swore under his breath and ran to Frost's barely moving body. Triumph within the dragon's eyes, he flew off into the distance, away from Edge.

"Hojo's experiments have finally exacted their cruelest repercussion... destroying Blaze's sanity," Sephiroth grimly stated. His eyes upon Frost's body, he noticed that her breathing was beginning to return to normal. "One more spell should do the trick. Curaga..."

His silver hair flowing behind him, he looked at Bella. "It's not too late to save him. We can't give up on him. I regained my sanity... there's still hope for him as well." His gaze shifted to Yuffie, slowly nodding. "All of you start damage control here. Everyone's going to be panicking after seeing what many are sure to believe was a successful murder. I'm going after Blaze."

"Stay here then. I'm sure that if I weaken him enough, I'll be able to talk some sense into him. Your place is here. I'm sure there's some shred of him that is lashing out at himself for what he's done. There are two personalities, after all," Sephiroth stated. He looked at Bella, a smile on his face. "I'll be back before you can even get halfway through reciting LOVELESS."

His black wing extended fully to his right side, a few stray feathers floating through the breeze, towards Bella. With Masamune gripped tightly, he flew off in the direction Blaze had fled.

As Sephiroth flew through the air, he recognized the direction they were headed in. "The Forgotten City... why here? A place where my haunting memories are strongest. What are you up to?"

The dragon landed on the altar where Aerith had been struck down, his form shrinking, returning to that of his original, human form. "I knew they'd leave me be to save her."

Sephiroth landed their as well, his frustration present. "Blaze, I'm going to stop you, and bring you back to yourself!"

"Sephiroth... you won't stop me. You had all that power, and yet you threw it all away," Blaze icily remarked. The golden blade of the Sword of Flames glimmered in the light. "Why don't you face me, without using Heartless Angel? Or are you too afraid to do so!?"

"I do not fear that. I fear what you may become if you aren't stopped. I don't want you to fall down the same path I did," the silver locked man answered. In a fluid motion, Masamune's blade carved through the air, sending a dozen blue waves at Blaze.

The red coated man sidestepped the waves, a smirk on his face. "Is that the best you've got? You're not the only one who's gotten stronger."

"No, it's not, actually," Sephiroth flatly stated. He held his right hand in the air, behind him, a black orb levitating in his hand.

Blaze's eyes narrowed at the sight of the ebony sphere. "The Black Materia... you'd use Meteor? That could destroy the Planet!"

"I'm not using it to its full strength. Just enough to harm you to the point that you're unable to fight, only talk," Sephiroth stated. Purple electricity began to spark from the Materia. "Take this!"
