"Undine, what a beautiful name! Well its a pleasure, any friend of Antirr is surely a friend of mine! Oh Antirr where did you find such a beautiful mare?" She said the last part in a hushed tone to Antirr. "Oh! Excuse me, i'm being so rude!" She blushed scarlet. "And Antirr! Your flowers! Tsk tsk, where have they gone?" She turned, hurrying back to her basket before returning with daisies for Antirr. "Oh, and dear, this would look so beautiful with you." She tucked a Lily behind Undine's ear. Stepping back her eyes sparked. "Magnificent!" She smiled.
Antirr simply stood there quietly, letting his mother fret and blab all she wanted before getting his chance to speak. "I just met Undine recently, accually, mother. We were by the river talking and spotted you comming this way. Undine was a bit worried something might have happened to you." He glanced at the flowers now in his mane. "And thank you, my old ones died and i havn't had time to get new ones." He looked to Undine. "Yes, vary beautiful." He said softly.

Undine stood there a bit overwhelmed. “Thank you,” she said to Glow with a soft smile. She very much preferred the lily to the lily pad and frog Antirr had dumped on her earlier. She felt a bit out of place standing there with no idea what to say. What do you say to a mare who has no idea what her son is really like?

"Oh its nothing, dear, nothing at all. What beautiful decorations you have, would it be a bother if i asked as to where you got them? I've certainly never seen anyone with anything like it before." She inspected the decorations with awe. "It almost makes you one big flower!" She giggled softly, smiling.
Antirr moved away from the two mares and to the basket and flower patch. He turned, looking back and nodded to Undine. "Talk" he mouthed before turning back to the flowers, starting to pluck up ones he liked.

Undine resisted rolling her eyes at Antirr but just barely. Giving Glow her entire intention she replied. “My two-legger gave them to me to help remind me of were I came from.” She turned to look at the fins on her tail piece. Turning back to Glow with a soft laugh. “They do look a bit like a lilies petals." Trying to remember the names of flowers she had seen she asked. "Is there such a thing as a sea lily?”

"A sea lily?" Glow furrowed her brow in thought. "Well, i don't think so. The sea is vary salty and plants don't like the salt, especially flowers. Oh but i could be wrong, of course. I've never really been to the sea before." She smiled. "Why, have you seen one? Or heard of one?" She asked, ears perking, intrigued.

Undine thought a moment. “I’m sure I’ve heard the name before but I don’t think they’re a flower.” What was it? She asked herself. Blinking she shook her head. “I can‘t remember, an underwater animal maybe.”

"An animal called a lily? How silly." She blinked at the rhyme and giggled. "But perhaps. There are many strange named creatures out there." She nodded. "And even stranger flowers! There is a flower called a Forget me Not, did you know that? Such a strange name, and so sad...why you would name a flower as such, i do not know. And they are so pretty as well." She sighed and shook her head. "Did you hear of this "Sea Lily" from where you came from?" She asked, curious.

"Forget me Not means true love in the language of flowers," Undine said repeating what her two-legger had told her. “I’m from a herd that lived by the ocean, there were all kinds of strange creatures there. My father would teach my brother and I about them.” She smiled a sad smile at the memory.

Glow furrowed her brow at Undine and nudged the mare's cheek. "Now chin up. No sad looks at memories of lost times. Cherish them and don't bother being so upset. Just think, you are lucky to have had time with them, to remember them. Don't dwell on the sadness of lost families or times. You remember your family, you just told me a memory....Don't waste those memories by being sad." She sighed softly and turned to move back to her flowers.
Antirr's nostrils flared in anger. Dammit he told her his mother didn't remember her past! And the wench goes and says something like that with such a sad face! He eyes his mother, assuring himself she wasn't looking his way, and flattened his ears, glaring at Undine. He moved, heading towards her. Dammit she better fix this fast or else.

Undine blinked, the memory having taken her by surprise. She trotted after Glow ignoring Antirr. “Until I met your son I didn’t remember much, all these unexpected memories are throwing me for a lop,” she said apologetically. She gently nudged a group of flowers. “They’re so beautiful. How do you decide which to pick?” she asked hoping talking about flowers would cheer up Glow. Being sad doesn’t suit her, she thought to herself.

Glow stopped and blinked, looking at her. "Really? That happens to me to..." She smiled a bit. "When I met Jazz, my mate and Antirr's father, well I had all sorts of memories popping up, but they were so fleeting...many of them I've lost again." She sighed softly. "Hmm?" She looked to the flowers. "Oh, they tell me. Have you ever spoken to a flower before? I could teach you. Perhaps you'll be better then Antirr." She giggled, looking to her son. "He never had a knack for it. Perhaps its a mare thing." She shrugged, smiling.
"Now, mom, your making me look bad." He glanced to Undine. Least she saved it. "You know I'm not that bad at it." He smiled to his mother. "I think thats a great idea, don't you Undine?"

While Glow’s attention was on Antirr, Undine let out a relieved sigh. She could possibly survive a fight with him but really didn’t want to find out. She shook her head. “Can’t say I ever have,” she replied eyeing a flower. Maybe if I can lean this what mother was trying to teach me will start to make since, she thought to herself. Turning to Glow she nodded. “I’d like to lean.”

"Alright then!" Glow beamed with happiness and excitement. A chance to teach someone her favorite past time! Like a daughter she never had! She giggled. "Alright then, lets see...here. These flowers seem particularly chatty today." She smiled. "Now, first off, you have to clear your head. No thinking about anything sad, or angry, or fear, or thoughts, just let your head fill with happiness. Sometimes its hard, i always end up thinking about Jazz, or my sons, or I think about adorable little foals. Its vary hard. Now, clear your head and we'll go from there." She smiled happily.

Undine regarded the flowers Glow point out. Ok clear your mind, I can do that, she thought to herself. She slowly breathed out and let her head empty of all thought. She looked at Glow waiting for the next direction.

"Good, now look at them. Closely. Take in everything you see. And as your looking at them, absorbing them, open your mind, and your heart, and listen with all your might. They will speak to you, if you listen. Let the happiness poor out and they will feed from it and their little voices will reach your ears." She instructed. She looked to the flowers herself and closed her eyes, a little smile on her face. When she opened her eyes it was as if she was staring at the love of her life. As if at that moment, nothing in the world existed but her and the flowers.
