Raquel seemed a little sad now, but nodded as she let him lead her off to get one. She ordered a regular salty pretzel and a slushy for him to try, stepping back to let him order on his own.

She smiled, taking a bite before going wide eyed. "That is delicious...Have you eaten one of these before?" She asked through a mouthful cocking her head, and offering him a sip of her slushy.

Raquel laughed slightly shaking her head. "A sugar coma is very similar to a hangover, only not as intense....but you do feel as if your going to throw up." She explained with a grossed out nod as they made their way farther down the mall. "You know...If I do well with the whole school thing...someday I could buy my guitar back...or get a better one and trade for it...." She added out of nowhere, feeling guilty for ruining the mood earlier. Though she said nothing more, hoping that would ease his mind, as well as her's on the matter before she walked ahead, stopping suddenly, a bewildered look on her face.
"...Well I'll be...They still have it up..." She smiled dumbfounded back at Damian. Up ahead there was an old timey carousal, only it had been remolded and modernized slightly, still trying to keep the old school charm. "Oh when I was a girl, I used to sit and watch it go round and round for hours!" She cried, turning to grasp Damian's arm. She had never ridden it, never having the money for it.

Raquel felt a little silly but excited to do this. She seemed a little embarassed, biting her lip she took Damian's hand after he had paid and headed for where she thought it was. "Ah...It's still here too.." She smiled, glowing like a little girl. It was a horse like the other, but more specifically, a Pegasus. Jet black with grayish white wing, an elaborate saddle that was deep red, Green, and gold. A few jems were lining the bottom of the saddle as well as the hooves which seemed to once be a shiny black as well. It was a bit older than the others for sure, but was still lovely in Raquel's eyes.
She guessed she loved it because of how mysterious but beautiful it was to her, and how with it's wings, it could fly her anywhere she wanted to go...even away from Veratia.

Raquel shook her head, her lips pursed and eyes absolutely glittering from the excitement she was holding in. It was her little girl dream come true. It was really simple and nothing really, but it was still a dream...
"I used to wait and watch when M'lady went shopping, she knew I wouldn't get into trouble when I was mesmerized by all this..." She reached out and gingerly traced the various details on the statue, smiling to herself and taking it all in.

"I had this cute little boy offer to pay for me to ride with him, but I was too shy back then..." She smiled and laughed a little as if picked up, blowing her hair back only slightly.

"I was six....It was the only time in my life I considered myself...somewhat happy? I was actually taken care of rather well...until M'lady died of course..." Killed was the appropriate word but she didn't want to think of that. She seemed to have the little bit of sadness take over before shaking it away, letting the moment thrill her.
"But no...But I'd sometimes close my eyes and listen to the music, and pretend I was riding her...only we wold soar over veratia and to far away places that were just so heavenly..." Raquel tilted her head back, smiling as she closed her eyes, remembering the fantasies she pursued as a child, a small tear gathering at the corner of her eye, but she still smiled.

Raquel couldn't hear him over the music, but looked back and smiled so brightly at him, her eyes thanking him for his with all the glitter and joy they had. They continued on like that for a bit longer, Raquel just enjoying every moment she had. But eventually, the music started to slow to a stop, as the lovely ride ended, as well did her dream, like all of her dreams. They had to stop sometime...
Even after everything had stopped, Raquel sat a moment, still smiling, her eyes shut as she sighed, soaking up the last bit of magic she could before giving the old horse a loving pet as if she were real. She slid herself down from it's back, Letting her hand trace over it once more before looking to Damian. There were children and a few parents getting off for the next load to ride, pushing and moving their way towards the exit. Raquel gave him a sad but thankful smile, even mouthing "thank you so much" before reaching out her hand to him. "We should go," She furrowed her brow, but was glad she got to experience it. She had thought about riding it again and again to compensate for what she lost as a child, but felt that would take the magic away. She was so content with riding her once, and jsut getting to feel like a little girl again...

Raquel grasped his hand tightly as she walked with him off the ride and back to the shiny white floor. "I'm...not really sure. What do you want to do?" she asked, realizing she had been the one making the decisions most of the day. "Do you need any more 'casual clothes'?" She asked with a smile as she hugged his arm sweetly, kissing his bicep.
