Sorry had a doctors appointment to go to.
The streetwise check didn't do anything.
I would also like to remind you that you are still alone on the road leading in to Ashenport.

[I'm just playing along XD]
After 10 seconds or so Morathik remembers about the rain falling on him and how much he hates it*.
"Well I guess you're right it could be fairly dangerous and all however ...lastonetheresarottenegg!" Morathik says making a run for the town before falling into the mud face first.
"Curses..."

Gaaki giggles at Morathik as he lands face first in the mud then walks over to help him up "you should be more careful in the rain. walking on the mud is not the samething as walking on solid earth.

"Excellent observation," Wil said with a hint of sarcasm.
(Speaking of which, Perception to see how far it is to the town)
EDIT: Passive 12.

"Good point," Morathik says whipping out his spellbook and what appears to be a vial of yellow liquid. Pouring the liquid onto the ground Morathik conjures a floating disk. "Tada" he says enthusiastically hopping onto the disk.
[Tenser's floating disk - costs 10gp in ingredients] [Arcana check for weight limit of the disk 1d20+14=22, rolls 10-24 allows the disk to carry up to 500 pounds]
[Me and my gear weigh 231 lb total]

(I don't think the disc can carry the caster. It just carries materials.

[Nothing in the description about restricting the platform to just materials XD, should be big enough to fit 1 person. ]
[Should be possible though, the only reason people couldn't use it as transport in the past was because in 3.5 it couldn't move on it's own and would only follow the caster . I could sit on it but it just wouldn't move since it only moves with me in 3.5 (following rather than actually moving see?). However in 4e it can both follow and move at the caster's will, following when the caster moves out of range and moving up to the caster's speed by move action]

(Hmm...just in case, though, I'll read up on it. I've been told that it isn't possible. I'm not trying to stop you from doing such, I'm just curious.) (EDIT: Here's what I found: Player's Handbook You create a slightly concave, circular plane of force that floats a foot off the ground and can carry what you lay upon it. The disk is 3 feet in diameter and 1 inch deep at its center. It remains stationary unless you move more than 5 squares away from it, in which case it moves with your base speed once per round until it is within 5 squares of you. You can command the disk to move up to your speed as a move action. If you are more than 5 squares from the disk for 2 consecutive rounds, the disk disappears, dropping whatever it was carrying. The bolded is the usual rule, the underlined is the exception. So technically, yes you could.)

[edit3495820502: ninja *looks around shiftily* lets see how the DM rules it (: , regardless of situation I can think up various other uses for the disk at this point]
[edit: a little off topic but I just thought up one hell of an awesome (yet dangerous) use for TFD , TFD + 30-40 + some method of fixing the alchemist's fire onto the disk. alchemist's fire eek ...hehehe...boom ]

You are only a hop, skip and a jump away from the outskirts of the city. As you are talking a bot of lightning strikes 20 feet away from you.
(As for TFD, I will allow him to ride on it since it uses a move action)

(Hence why I underlined it. Generally, the disc follows the caster, but can be moved. Now the question is whether or not he can fit on said disc.)
Wil looks at the strike mark, shrugs, and says, "Eh, I could cast better if I were a lightning mage."
