((Terson's enhanced senses are not magic in nature. They come from his own scientific tampering with his genetic makeup. He might be human again but reversing all the changes done to him by his genetic tampering would not only be extremely difficult but also could have permenant ill effects to Terson's very ability to live. Genetic tampering is complicated))
Terson watched the monitors calmly, nodding slightly, it seemed they were going to leave. As a man of science these tunnels was the best place to set up a science lab, very hard to find, harder to access, and extremely hard to get to with magical means. And as for science, it couldn't be scanned from above ground because of how deep the tunnels were. It was perfect. But it meant that his friends would have a harder time using magic as well.

"Anywhere else," Fatal replied automatically. Then he caught himself. "I think... yes... let's go to a location where magic is amplified, if you know of any."
((Only place I know of is the Shrine in Tosheiko.))

"Hm..." Hanabi thought for a second and then said, "I think I know where." Then she began to concentrate as the petals flew around her and Fatal. This spell took a bit more time, due to them being in the tunnels, but she was able to teleport them out successfully. It helped that she used this spell almost every day and was almost second nature to her.

"You said 'one of them is Fatal'. Who's the other one?" Kasai asked Terson.

Terson nodded then turned to the group. "I'm finished here, for now at least, there is a separate exit, it leads to the edge of the wilderness, we can go from there."

Kasai shook her head, "Not really..." Though she seemed to have her mind somewhere else. She had no idea where Aoi was, and she couldn't stop thinking about that note Fatal had sent her. She didn't know what to do.

((Here's a bit of common logic: since Fatal and one other unknown person was in the tunnels, it means they had to be in Teishoku to get in. Kasai might be worried about the village, or Reed, or both, and want to go up there to check.))

But yeah, she should be worried. Okay. Thanks for the suggestion. ))
A thought occurred to Kasai. Fatal might be at Teshioku! And Reed had stayed back at the village!
"We should go back to Teishoku. I'm worried that Fatal might be there, and Reed had stayed behind," Kasai said to the others.

Terson frowned slightly but nodded, "The boulder entranced is similar in properties to the cave, and we can see through the hologram, Reed should be right outside it."
