Adam heard the swish of an attack, but didn't feel anything at all. His head kept on a swivel, scared out of his mind, not sure which direction he should run.

Brad heard the attack, too, but it only convinced him that there was more than one assailant "Where are they!?"



The girl found a tree in her way and curled against it, her eyes wide-open and locked on the red mist that was filling the clearing. With each spray, she flinched, expecting herself to be next.

Syn smiled as her blade bit hungrily through Adam's throat, and a razor-thin trail of blood followed her blade until she disappeared and reappeared to the side again, deciding that Adam was a dead man, she was going to focus on brad. And there was no more need to scare him. He was sufficiently frightened for her to reveal herself. She would dive out, slashing at his other arm, and then she would follow with a slash to his abs, followed by a stabbing hammer fist to his back

Adam was still in shock, on his knees, trying to quell the rush of blood that was gradually slowing, but not due to his efforts. His face was turning white, and his mouth open in his still silent scream.

Brad had more important things to worry about, like the cuts opening on his body as a green blur attacked him, a burning pain erupting in his back as he yelled in frustration, unable to dodge the black lines, trailed by blood, held by a green monster. He did his best and swung three times, blind punches at an unseen target.



The girl got the first glimpse of her savior, but it was little more than a flash of green and a cloud of red, which was beginning to hide the hero even more that its speed.

Syn was caught with two hard hits, one to the arm and a knee to the stomach. But she pushed from the human's thigh, springing over him and stabbing her blades down at his shoulders from behind, slashing them through the meat of his back as she ripped them form his flesh, pushing off of him with her feet as she sprung back, hopefully out of his reach. She couldn't stand toe-to-toe with this guy for very long, apparently, but she wouldn't have to for much longer. She didn't suspect he would last much longer.

Adam's breath and blood were leaving him, his vision darkening as he watched Brad being killed.

Brad roared in agony, his blood staining his blue shirt and his jeans as he swung three more times, slowing as his blood seeped from his person.



The girl just stared... She was past fear, she wasn't really here anymore...

Syn was hit hard in the cheek, but she stabbed a blade into his forearm and attempted to pull herself back at him to slash at his throat, stabbing his brain stem as she passed by. She was hoping this would be the killing combo. She was getting tired of this game, although she knew that what she was doing was necessary. She needed to hone her skills to a razors edge, and be ready for anything. There was always the chance that she might not have a place to hide, so she needed to be prepared for anything and everything, including being stuck out in the open. Which means she needed to be prepared to just strike the killing blow without toying with her victims.

And so she did. Her blade pierced Brad's brain stem, severing it and leaving him a limp corpse as Adam slipped into the sweet embrace of death, his body giving up the last of its blood and his corpse beginning its descent into the slow decay of the dead. Syn turned to the girl, sheathing her ulaks, her blindfold strikingly black in the light, her purple blood dripping from the hit she'd taken to the lip. She raised a hand and pointed "Town's that way." And then Syn vanished, leaving the girl without a second thought.
