She ran up the narrow path, meeting her fault at a, basically, six way intersection. She had never been south, so it might have been the new H.Q that she heard about floating on the passing winds.

After about two miles of running, jogging, and turning corners, she realized that the scenery she was in wasn't going to change anytime soon, and trying to retrace her steps would just make her more confused. Dead, rotten hollow trees where in all directions. The smell of salt was crossed her nose here and there. No sign of water, no sign of civilization, nothing but dead trees. There really was no telling what was in the forest; couple of wondering animals, dead trees, dead trees.. what more than no food? She hunched over the ground, catching her breath, thinking of her next 'strategic' move.
