538 narrows his eyes trying to think as his loyalty chip implants thoughs into his mind "Does not understand question. 538 requests more information on fodder and programmed"

"You are the stepping stool for which the kore steps on. You take the damage, suffer, and do the work, while they reap the rewards. You're getting the short end of the stick, cupcake." Pen smiled, "but in the end, who knows? You might be one of the lucky ones."
((All the people on the ship are going to start dying soon, from the virus Pen is carrying, but I'm going to assume 538, has been altered far enough that it won't effect anymore than it would a machine.))

Pen let out a small shrug, and leaned back against the wall, her lips sealed into a quiet smile.

Pen made a few hand gestures, communicating in a series of kore based signs. It was a simple .

((Ahh... So, there actually is a basis to it, not just "X color is prettier than Y." Oh, wait... Haha, Ora on that planet. XD And I wouldn't be too surprised if the person who created that system had met Xeen first, considering. Not that I think the person did, but it wouldn't surprise me.))
Yarold gave the shorter man an annoyed look. "You're coming, Eric. Get in the d*mn ship." Before you're seen, he added silently. He could only hope the braided fool would get the message.

"538 is not a prisoner I am a Kore soldier. The Kore has given me life and purpose" 538 was implanted with the ability to read the signs but he lacks the dexterity to use them

(Oi! I got my net back! Lol)
Haldri paused for a moment and looked at the old man. "Really? I believe they would have told me if I had a straggler or two on my ship." He looked between the two of them and started walking towards his ship. It wasn't the best one ever. The possibility of more than three people fitting was slim. "Especially since they gave me such a small ship."

Eric's brow twitched in irritation. "Sir, give me a minute to bring up orders from on high..." Quickly, Eric hammered in a message on his PDA that said: "Save Svarlena and Pendari, escape ship with both in tow, run to earth. If this cannot be accomplished, aid Pendari with complete crew casualty of the main Kore ship." He showed the message to Yarold, "As you can see, sir, I have other orders. I'd love to help, and get off of this damn ship for a change... But order are orders, and they pay my way."

Sahaqiel (Oi! I got my net back! Lol) Haldri paused for a moment and looked at the old man. "Really? I believe they would have told me if I had a straggler or two on my ship." He looked between the two of them and started walking towards his ship. It wasn't the best one ever. The possibility of more than three people fitting was slim. "Especially since they gave me such a small ship." ((Lol to that. The usual troubles?))
Yarold shrugged. "Like I said. Ship shortage. Only with you to the first stop, so what do you care? Call it up the line, if you don't believe me, but Svarlena caught me in the hallway with this. Chances are, there's not even paperwork yet."
He looked at Eric in irritation, flicking his eyes over the PDA screen. One eye narrowed partway through, and the man read more slowly. "You know... It seems someone misunderstood the situation when they wrote those orders. One of the people in question, Svarlena, already has those orders, and she's not the type to need backup. In fact..." He looked up at Eric. "...You might only get in her way. That could be why she reassigned you just now. She has a two-body shuttle to herself, but I've seen it--there's no way to fit three."
Yarold's expression was deadly serious, and gave no indication of whether he was lying or not. Letting Haldri suspect the game would be tantamount to suicide. There was a slim chance that someone would let them all go, if Haldri reported this up the chain, but it all depended who was on shift just now. If his plan got stopped in it's tracks... Pendari was on board. They would all die.

"Your funeral," he muttered, turning away to help Haldri with the rest of the loading. "I'm not to blame when this all backfires, I swear..."
