Kranza laughed, "The one who has this remarkable power is not one for conversation, nor is he a very peaceful being. In fact, he cannot speak therefore sharing his secrets would be quite hard. However, if you wish access to his mind to take the secrets yourself I can give that to you."

Azaeria felt the dried blood. She bmeasured her breathing. She was no stranger to death. But the single word on this page rose the hair on the back of her neck.

The diary seemed to shudder, malevolent energy flowing out of it as if an Arch-demon were trapped inside it.

Azaeria jerked her hands away, unsure of what was going on. She stepped a few tentive steps away. She wouldn't say she was afraid but extremely weary. "What's going on? Who is it?" She questioned the room which was invisible to her eyes.

Fatal raised a single eyebrow. "Fine," he said at last. "If you can promise that I shall obtain that secret of avoiding trophyfication, without a doubt, in a reasonable time, I shall relinquish one Assist Trophy and raise your... interest from the dead. Just one thing... what Assist Trophy?"

The diary slammed shut with a loud bang, and the room went silent, the malevolent force gone.
Kranza smiled and shrugged his shoulders, "Any assist trophy will do, although preferably the one of the girl Aoi."
((I think Fatal turned Aoi into an assist trophy...right?))

Immediately, the miniature replica of Aoi's trophy, which was small because it was an assist trophy, was resting in Fatal's hands, summoned instantly. "I haven't even received the chance to play with this toy," Fatal said slowly, "but what you promise is much more desirable...."
He trailed off.
After a few moments of silence, Fatal himself out of his reverie. "It is done, then. Where is this soul to be raised? Who?"

Azaeria jerked as it slammed shut, but she could feel the air move with less intensity. She shook her head. She just knew she was ready to go and wanted Kranza to hurry so she could.

Kranza produced a small shard of jet black crystal and tossed it to Fatal, "Her soul is trapped within there, release her and she will create her own body. I need your help because only a necromancer can release the soul without it moving on to the next world. Do this and you shall have your immortality."

Fatal nodded. "The energies here will be most helpful. I doubt you'd allow me to stand at the focal point, but that isn't a requirement, as helpful a it would be. It shall take... a few minutes, at most. Unless there's anything else you'd like to tell me about this soul before she is released?"
By what he said, Fatal meant, any harmful effects, due to the nature of the powerful soul, that might harm Fatal or perform any other undesirable action.

((XD long post.))
Fatal smirked as his meaning was guessed. "Well, no one can say that you aren't capable of reading your allies... and your enemies. I shall start, then.
The stone immediately began glowing, but that was only Fatal using his power to investigate the soul within. The stone flared, both figuratively and literally, with light, power, and refracting beams of a combination of the two. Fatal could judge, by how his magic reflected off of the soul, and refracted through it, the nature of the soul.
"Each soul requires an emotion... the correct emotion," Fatal began murmuring, more to himself, although Kranza could indeed hear perfectly what was being said.
"The skill of the art... and you must be able to... detect that emotion. I feel... it. Almost... yes... be possible."
The rest of the art remained hidden in Fatal's own mind, however. A large, and unspoken, part of the art was being able to walk among the realm of Death... not death. There was a subtle difference. One was dying... the other was exactly like dying, but staying alive.
And then, there was also the third part of knowing the ancient rites used in order to bind the walking dead. This would typically give Fatal complete and irrevocable control over the dead... but a living soul, bound and without a body, was more difficult to perform.
That there was a promise of making a body itself... herself... suggested a certain level of power that gave Fatal a few certain clues as to how the particular soul's body perished, or was killed.
However, now, breaking the Seal and invoking Power over the soul, and preventing its Way to Death, was a simple matter. The only danger was that the soul would become chaotic and unstable--a poltergeist of sorts, or just a malevolent ghost.
The crystal began glowing a bright white, and a queer, high-pitched sound, too high to hear but just low enough to feel with the bones of your jaw and ears, filled the entire fortress. There was no was to lessen it.
At the same time, a dark energy began forming on the floor, next to Fatal. Black lightning flowed from his toes, into the ground, and surged over to the black, shapeless substance. It soon formed into the shape of a person. But this person was very deformed.
It was a dead soul, along with what was left of its incarnate body.
The soul screeched; a wretched, morbid sound of Death, and all its various forms and passages... all the pain of that poor creature, no longer human, all it's pain and fear and then its Death.
The sound was pleasing to Fatal's ears.
Then the shard abruptly stopped glowing. Fatal let it drop to the floor, where, regardless of how brittle it was or was not, it shattered. A bright flash filled the room... and then Fatal was clutching at air. His hands were copied by transparent claws, sinking into the ground and snagging something, attempting to flee...
Still attempting, with vigorous and arduous tenacity...
And even more it struggled...
And then Fatal had it. In one instant, it was descending, or attempting to, but in the next, Fatal had performed an act that had given it no choice but to reenter the world of the living.
Fatal had absorbed the malevolent man-shape's soul.
Now, the void left behind acted as a vacuum, and every living being within miles could feel the immense and massive pull of their soul, the consciousness, towards the point of a power vacuum more immense and uncontrollable than power itself. Nothing, not even the greatest power in the existence of life, including Kranza's potential power, could be greater than this: because everything was mortal, and Death was eternal.
However, without a body and an anchor, the female's lost soul was immediately placed into the vacuum... too quickly for it to tear out another soul. Which soul, out of the few people in that fortress, should Fatal had let the dead girl's slip out of his grasp, was not known. There was no way to predict it.
A sonic boom echoed throughout the structure, albeit a quiet one, but with a windy force.
And then, it was done. The soul was among the living, albeit without a body at the moment, and it had obtained one opportunity to forge itself a new one.
If it failed, it would be unobtainable, and would sink into the abyss of Hell, or wherever it was that the souls went.

"What was all that?" Kali asked as she held herself. She had felt the high-pitched sound and pull on her soul.

(( xd Um, basically, Fatal was doing a ritual to bring back the soul trapped within it. Crystal made high-pitch sound. Dark energy and lightning. Soul screeched. Then a void/vacuum was made and souls of any living things would feel a pull. The soul went into the vacuum, then a sonic boom, and now it's among the living. ))
Kali looked around, but it looked and felt like it was over, whatever it was.
