I'm sorry, but Gerard Butler is a terrible singer. TERRIBLE! I just can't stand it. When he doesn't sound completely forced and like he has a severe head cold or yawning, he sounds like he's gargling! Somebody had a lot of chocolate milk and peanut butter before filming, not that he would sound much better if he hadn't. His only vocal experience was a garage band, he's never been trained to sing without abusing his throat, and his voice is absolutely terrible. Singing-wise, he might be able to pull off Joseph Buquet on a good day. domokun

Embarassing. . . PotO. . . Not connecting. I sing both sides of the Andre/Firmin part of notes (y'know, before Raoul comes in) in public frequently, but I don't find it at all embarassing. . . Oh! I know something embarassing! Last summer, I had the PotO Original London Cast Album blaringly loud in my house, and I managed to keep up volume with it while singing as Erik, Firmin, Mme Giry, Meg, and Carlotta. Afterwards, my friend Sarah who lives next door came over and simply said, "Your window is open."

XD; Yeah... I know about 80% of phans would oppose such a thing, but hey, I'm amused writing it. D: At least it's not a random OC I added in. XD I find it logical in my mind, at least.

I have no objections with romance as long as it's well-written (and as long as its not self-insertion). Romance as a whole genre has such a horrible reputation because there is so much of it that's badly written. Someone can have the most wonderful and imaginative idea, but if they can't write well it doesn't matter.

Though I can't say much about inserting OCs *looks at current fic she is in the process of writing* It's not an E/OC romance though! It's just one of those little story ideas that gets stuck in your brain and won't go away until you write it. *sighs* I tried to ignore it. I thought it would be too overdone, but then as far a Phantom fiction goes it seems much more overdone to have Christine realize her mistake and return to Erik.

I have a friend who writes like that.

So there I was, in the middle of my Chemistry final, listening to Chevelle on my CD player ('cause Mr. Coates is cool like that.) when suddenly I look up and I started thinking of Erik with a guitar strapped to him...and I couldn't stop snickering. Everyone around me ignored it because my Chem. teacher loves to put funny fake answers on his tests so they were used to some random person snickering at on of the questions. But when the image of Erik on stage with panties being thrown at him left me snickering so hard that I started crying, some of my classmates began to wonder about my mental health. Naturally, after a while I sunk back into the exam, only to start snickering again whe I thought of on of the pairs of panties landing in Erik's face...

yeah...one of my slight moments with POTO where people found out that was in the smallest way obssessed... xd
