"Heh... thanks, but you know you didn't have to... " William comments keeping his eyes shut as he slowly rose his hand, reaching for hers. He wanted to say something, anything to keep hearing her voice but he knew tat he would be selfish if he did that. so he just went silent as his hand slid down her fingers for a moment and then onto his bed.

"Thanks?... Thanks for what?" HE asks a little confused. didn't sh just verbally smack him across the face for insulting Sinister? or insult her on some level to cause her to want ot leave like that?

"Thanks for...," muttered Caitlin quietly before becoming quiet herself. She didn't know how to explain it. She didn't know how to react to somone caring, to know how to truely act. To say the words never did feel true to her. In her mind, all acts of kindness of any degree,...held some sort of catch. Even with Sabertooth and Sinister that she did show caring and loving emotion too, she never fully gave trust to them.

"Never mind...," spoke Caitlin after a short while.

Smiling softly he lets out a weak laugh keeping himself under control so he didn't hurt any more than needed. "Your welcome." William was a bit disappointed that she couldn't say it but he hoped he knew what she meant. and to him that was all that mattered.
Just like the first time she came to this house he was willing to wait for her, and help her in every way he could. but that also meant that he would have to back off a lot more than he anted to. but it would be worth it. "Caitlin..." HE starts off after a soft pause figuring she was probably on her way out. "You know me. I'm much to simple of a man to have plans in the back round. what you see hear and feel is what you get. i hate shadows, to much difference from the warm rays of the sun."

Caitlin tilted her head to the side, a bit confused by his words. Regardless she gave a kind smile.

"I am supposing the Professor wish for me to stay and become a teacher once again...?"

"He brought it up. though i said it would be up to you to chose. ... weather you stay.... or go..." William comments his body passing out. though he was physically healed or much better off from before he still had the mental drain tormenting him and that would simply take time to correct.

((Peachy....))

Caitlin looked down at William with a rather unamused expression at his passing out. At least Sinister and Sabertooth had been less complicated and by far easier to understand and figure out!

---------

Time went by and Caitlin did indeed stick around, even if she was going on trips most of the time. Much to everyone dismay, she never spoke of what happened on them or went into any type of detail. Mum was the word to her, however, Wolverine had companied her lately and even he was quiet about the trips himself. The professor had tried multiple times to get her to returned to her teaching of chemistry and ancient eygptian history but she had refrained on that too and didn't really give anyone an idea if she would ever teach again. Mostly she had stuck to herself and didn't interact much unless she absolutely had too.

At the moment she was watching a new bulleton on the tv. Their Senator Kelly was giving a speech on Anti-Mutant this and Anti-Mutant that. Caitlin was hooked on every word, completely focused to the point that Jubilee gave up on trying to get her attention after ten minutes of calling her name out.

*TV*

"There will be a gathering of Supreme Court Judges and Golbal Representives and Senators that will be held at City Hall tomorrow at ten in the morning. There we will be discussing laws and treaties that will be effecting this world of mutants to insure our safety in the future. Please, no futher questions."

*TV*

With that there were a few seconds of Senator Kelly walking off the stage before the TV whiched back to the news archor woman. The woman began to talk even more about the press conference and then gave some details on the meeting at City Hall the next day.

Caitlin pressed a button on the remote to turn down the volume. She didn't have any interest in listening to an archor woman babble on. She sigh escaped her as her face took on a distant look.

"A penny for your thoughts." William comments from behind her. for most of the past few months William was ether resting in his bed or getting looked at by Beast and the Professor. the both of them making sure that William was everything he was before the incident and that nothing was miss wired. Despite his many attempts he just never got the chance to get away before he got tired again. maybe he was morning? he didn't know. he honestly cold not figure out why he jut felt like his life was mostly pointless. but he felt bad for his students. all of this lack f moving around was starting to drive him crazy by starring at the same walls, and that was never a good day for his students..."Maybe well go on a 5k run first time im back? " was a thought he had once when he was just starring at his roof.

the professor had yet to allow him to go back to teaching but he was hopeful, as were his students.

Caitlin tipped her head back over the top of the couch and looked at him for a moment before responding. "Shouldn't you be teaching your classes now? I did heal you...only your nervous system would have taken a bit longer to heal."

She picked up her head and turned off the TV. After doing so she was up from the couch, giving her back a lazy stretch.

"If my injuries were that simple i would be." William comments as he walks around the couh and takes a seat next to Caitlin. "But the professor, and Beast are thinking that their is something still wrong with me or they are just making VERY sure thet there isn't"
PostPosted: Wed Nov 04, 2009 2:27 pm

Caitlin shook her head, "My healing abilities are better than Logan's and unlike him I am cast them outward to others to help them. You should be find, even with my lacking knowledge of the nervous system that would have made your nerves heal slower than everything else." Caitlin sounded rather insulted at Beast's and the Professor's reluctant wishes to get William back to active duty. even if it was just to teach. She was better than they believed.

A huff came from Caitlin, "Trust is a two-way street gentlemen. You have to trust me as well...not just me to you!"

"How very true Caitlin," came from behind the two. Caitlin turned around and saw the Professor rolling up to her and William. A growl eminated from deep within her chest. "Keep your mind to yourself and in your own balded head," hissed Caitlin with hands on her hips. "I tried, but the words were hard to ignore," explain the Professor as he rolled around the sofa and stopped infront of them. "Try harder," growled Caitlin in response.

The Professor signed, "Caitlin, you are trusted and I am sorry if I hurt your feeling in anyway, but it couldn't be ignored." He saw her ready to open her mouth again, most likely in a heated rant. "Still, moving on. I see you have heard about the gathering that will be held tomorrow," continued the Professor. Caitlin was like a switch, she immediately straightened her threatening posture and gave him a calm and interested nod. "I am attending and I would like you and William to accompany me. An old friend is going to be speaking on our behalf there."

"Our," echoed Caitlin, "You mean mutants?" The Professor nodded at her before she pointed an open hand at William, "What about your tests and treatments. You and Beasts seem rather reluctant to give him the go ahead despite my help." Caitlin's hands were now across her chest as she stood there with her eyes narrowed.

"Is it wrong to see just how well your healing ability works and to make sure it did a good job as we have never seen it performed before. I wouldn't be a good teacher, leader, person if I didn't make sure those around me were not at their best," explained the Professor.

Caitlin shoulders slumped, but her lip curled up, "And you couldn't tell me that before, or him!" It was the Professor turn to arch an eyebrow, "You have been gone for some time and you do hate intrusions on your mind even if it is just for a simple mental chat. Besides, he didn't ask. I am sorry it has come up like this and ended this way. As you said, trust is a two way street...?" Caitlin reared back slightly with a bit of a gapping mouth. Though it was quickly turned into a growl that had the Professor laughing, "Trust takes time my dear and so does learning everything about us, the school, and the environment here. Besides, if I always back down from a challenge, the students would be ruling this school and the human/mutant debates would have ended long ago in war."

Caitlin couldn't help but huff at him and smile, "I will go with you if that is what you like. I don't have anywhere to be for a while now."

"Are we going just for a friendly chat or what professor?" William pops in. braking his long and some what drawn out silence. But he figured that it would be a millions times better to stay out of Caitlin's way. plus she did freak him out a little bit in her reactions though only slight it was enough to boost his heart rate up a few beats per minuets. Taking a half standing half sitting perch on the nearest table high enough for him to do so. William had keeps his arms to his sides and was bracing his body weight up a little bit as his eyes bounced back and for the between the two.
"I just figured that they wanted to make sure my mental state was sound." he thinks to himself as he waits for a reply. as his mind rolled over the reason as to why he didn't ask about the large sum of tests.

The Professor turned to William, "Hopefully it will be a friendly debate on things but this gathering does hold alot of the world leaders and generals. Hopefully some good can come out of this for both sides."

Caitlin frowned, lowering her head to look out the window, "Being there to listen for the good and being there forced to listen to the peace temporarily are two completely different things." She looked up to the Professor, "What makes you think that they simple won't belittle everything and only hear what they want and take what they need to fuel their fears and angers of us? There are good humans but like us, we have our bad ones. Sadly when there are more bad than good and even more humans that have very negative thoughts about mutants already and the past does not help that." She waved a hand all around them to signalify what she meant but "us". "As you said, alot of powerful people will be there and as your friend has taken our side, their will be people taken the other side," question Caitlin as she flopped back down on the sofa with her arms crossed over her stomach.

"We must try...," spoke the Professor.

Sang was keeping quiet about this. He knew that he was fine and almost itching to get out of the mansion. and in all honestly he could not think of any better companey than Caitlin. Sadly though the professor was probably going to be taking point on this one. so he would pretty much just stand back try to look menacing. though the style of conversation that was taking place in front of him was making him worry a bit that Caitlin was stuck in a cross roads. he just wasn't sure witch way she would go or if he could follow her.
