"Absolutely N.N." Icarus replied, his gaze not breaking from Elizabeth. He lowered his massive cannon, which caused it to link to the tank on his back, "We have to get to work on Shondr's story..."

The door to Krisom's office was opened so fast it was surprising, but it never made a sound. A man in a black suit, sunglasses covering his eyes, and mouth in what seemed to be a permenant frown walked in with a clipped, timed gait. The man had no real recognizeable features, other than pale skin and black hair.
he held a clipboard in one hand... and on the back was the Lotus Co. logo.
"I've had to wait for a while for this appointment. I have a few quesions to ask, Ms. Krisom." The man spoke like an emotionless goverment agent.

Elizabeth saw Icarus lower his massive gun thing and also saw an opportunity. She activated her gear and shot through the trees, hoping her head start and maneuverability could get her away in time. Besides, her gear was customized and upgraded. Against regulations. It was fifteen miles per hour above the regular gear, but that took away from the imvisibility factor, so she appeared to be a colorful haze.

"Oh goddammit!" Icarus swore, then pressed a switch on his headphones, "Calvin! I have an idiot who's going to blow the entire thing! I need the Retriever now!" Icarus paused, listening to the reply, then growled into the mic, "She's flying across the sky with a freaking glowing rainbow behind her with a flare that lights the sky! I need double placers to wipe everyone who sees it!" The portal opened once more, but Elizabeth had blown it: There was no point anymore to stealth this shift. The thing that came through the portal wasn't a placer, though many followed after it. It was a large, black aircraft with searchlights and net missiles. The aircraft was one of three that the Placers of Fold had. It was the Retriever, for whenever someone decided to break the rules and do something stupid during a Shift. It also dropped bombs to put Telanis residents to sleep. "018 Lotus Retriever Nightshade, reporting for duty, sir!" "Good! Get Placer..." he went through a list on his holograph, "Elizabeth... back to Fold!" "Yes sir!" The aircraft whined and shot off in the air, a red trail after it, gaining on Placer Elizabeth with a speed not even the most modified Gear could even hope to compare to.

Ophelia dreamed happily of the one thing she loved the most, nature. It was a place anyone could find peace and happiness. As well as a way to calm one's mind and soul. This truly was a magnificent place to behold. As she stood and took a look at the beautiful blue sky, it started to grow brighter for some odd reason. She put a hand over her eyes to try to keep the light out, but couldn't seem to.
Ophelia's eyes flew open, only to see a rainbow. 'A Rainbow?! Those only are seen during the day... aren't they?' Right now she didn't know what to think, but the proof was right in front of her. "Well... You don't see that everyday." was all she said. She stood up and tried to examine it a little closer. 'This is very strange...' she thought. It was true rainbows were common where she was, but none at night... or was it day? She had no clue. Maybe it really was day. She looked up at the trees and noticed the birds hadn't come out yet, they usually did at the first sight of light, but for some reason they weren't out at all. 'Odd...' she thought.

The man who just entered the room, seemed interesting to Krisom, he had been waiting for this appointment? the woman was curious about his intentions but remained her same indiferent expression, so many persons requested for dates but only some were taken serious "Good morning sir" Krisom said her voice deep and cold as the look in her eyes "Take a sit please I don't like that my guests feel uncomfortable" She added gazing at him carefuly like if he was some kind of prey, she held out her hand towards one of the chairs infront of her desk.

Elizabeth was dodging trees at top speed, experiencing a strange euphoric exhiliration. She had finally broken free, and if she was caught, who cares? She was just glad she wasn't the Lotus' dog anymore. She suddenly lost her concentration and veered into a small clearing, slamming into another girl. Elizabeth recognized her from her papers-- Ophelia. She automatically stood and began stripping off her gear, attaching it to a small boulder instead. Ophelia watched her warily while Elizabeth hastily worked. She glanced up and spotted the large aircraft above her. "D****t! I thought Icarus might follow me, not that they'd actually send that!!!" She finished attaching the gear and set it off, sending it shooting through the trees, showing the strange rainbow effect as a distraction.

The rock shot up, and the response from the aircraft showed they meant business. Instead of chasing it, the aircraft's front guns opened fire instead, obliterating rock and gear at once. then it floated overhead, a speaker-altered voice calling down, "Elizabeth! we know you're down there! Surrender immediately before you cause any more damage to Telanis!"

The man nodded slightly, undaunted by her aura of predatory nature. He sat in the seat and took a pen from his suit pocket, clicking out the pen with skill (Imagine if you could make clicking a ballpoint pen cool. This guy just did it.)
"Mr. Adirian of Lotus would like to know what exactly this company does. Currently, this area of Cyled is either Lotus Corporation owned or a subsidiary. Yours is not. So, Ms. Krisom, what do you do here?"

Instead of screaming a few choice words to the craft like she usually would, Elizabeth darted through the trees, her surroundings surreal to her. She would have to come back to that Ophelia girl, although she didn't know why. She would probably be wiped anyways. Elizabeth came upon a large slab of sandstone covered in moss that would not have been detectable had you not known it was there beforehand. There was a small opening in the outcropping that led to an underground cavern she had discovered on one of her first trips to Telanis, and was fully stocked with enough provisions to last a month. The stone was so thick that even the retriever's radar could not penetrate it. She jumped inside, pulling a pile of moss and stones over the opening and blocking all light. Elizabeth sat still, trying to catch her breath and reflecting on how screwed she was.

"What?! You lost her?! No, no, no! I'm not going to have her get away. I'm going to follow the rules we have in place. Retriever, you are to stay airborne until another one comes to relieve you. Every person in the path must be wiped of all memory of this night within sight of Elizabeth's path! Everything else goes as planned! She'll have a bird on her at all times, and without her gear, she's just as weak as anyone in Telanis... If she talks, we take her!" Icarus barked into his microphone, just above Shondr.
The famed prince looked up at Icarus, shocked at the appearance of this odd person. Drawing his sword, he asked what anyone would, "W-Who are you?!"
Icarus descended, the rewriter glowing and a smirk on his face, "I'm nobody of consequence... well, not like you'll remember me anyways." He fired the rewriter cannon, subduing Shondr and wiping his memory clean of the past few hours.
"Alright guys? now we'll see how long it takes for her to miss the comforts of Cyled in this medieval world!"

There was no other sound in the room than the man's voice, he clicked the pen with such a style that it was hard to believe that he was just a simple person, as he spoke Krisom couldn't really think on why would Lotus want to know her buisness porpuses "Mr. Adirian you said..." She repeated her voice still cold almost being able to cut, her eyes staring suspiciously at the man "Well, I think it is of no relevance for Lotus, but if you may know" she expresed, her father never really liked to talk about his company with others, thought it was not his company anymore. "Zinus is...like a finance buisness, luckily Mr. Adirian would understand such a thing" She explained with a concrete and confident voice.

 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥Idiot!N.N. thought your not supposed to make a bigger scene out of the one she created!. She prepared her katana. Before she went to run after Elizabeth, she turned to Icarus "I'm going to try to catch and stop her while you wait for the other...Placer Leaders." and as she was about to jump away like a ninja, she added a few more lines "and Icarus"she hoped he heard her "don't try to blow our cover" and she sprang into the dark.

Kiro blushed furiously that she looked like a tomato with her red eyes and hair and now red face. She walked to the empty seat near the window and looked down. Did they really hear me say THAT? she thought, disappointed in herself "So much for perfect.."she muttered to herself. Maybe recess would be better.
Maybe she could talk to that guy who looked like her Travis.
And with those happy thoughts, she grabbed her pen that had a gigantic Mokona on the end and copied notes. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Travis moved his pencil across the paper during the lecture, his face in the type of look one would have if they believed they had to write down every word the teacher said.
What he was doing on the paper, however, was drawing a duel between a zombie with a chainsaw and a machinegun-toting skeleton while kbights took bets in the background with astronauts. the end effect looked so amazingly surreal, it would have given a psychiatrist a holiday.
It was his relief when the lunch bell rang. he quietly gathered his stuff and moved out to the courtyard, opening a homemade lunch with a side of breadsticks (taken from the cafeteria. They were the only edible things there in his opinion.)

The man nodded and wrote down several things she couldn't see on his paper, then looked up at her, eyes never showing, "How long has this company been operating, and who was the previous CEO?"

Ophelia watched the strange girl in astonishment. Just a moment ago she had fallen out of the sky and slammed into her, then took off some odd objects. Before she knew it a craft of some sort stood just above the forest. "W-What is that!?" she said pointing at the foreign object. No answer... She looked back to see that the strange girl had just left her there, all alone... Now she had two options, either stare at the strange object, or run. She finally decided to choose the second option, knowing that she had an advantage, since she knew the area so well. Maybe she could out run the foreign object. She would have to stay hidden though and one false move could end it.
Ophelia came across a small camp and stopped in the shadows. She was surprised when she saw another oddly dressed person. It was true she didn't know the types of clothes that most townspeople wore, but this was defiantly categorized as odd. 'There must be a lot of them lurking around right now. I wonder if it's best if I go...' She also noticed another person with him. He didn't really look like one of those foreign people, but she still had no clue who he was. 'I think now's the time to go before I get caught...' She knew curiosity would be her downfall, but she couldn't help it, it came naturally to her.

Shondr's memory had been wiped clean of the night, just as Ophelia appeared. Icarus looked up, catching the girl in his gaze. He smiled, "Don't worry, Ophelia, this is just a bad dream... you won't remember any of it in the morning... it'll all be a haze on the edge of your memory..."
The Retriever had cloaked itself, and Icarus had flipped on a device that messed with the chemicals in the brain, causing a feeling of safety.

Elizabeth sat gasping on the floor of the pitch black cavern. She had finally done it. But now she had to make a decision-- what now? She was sick of this. The Lotus would hunt her down like an animal if she kept this up. Elizabeth Marshal would never have peace. She looked down at the one piece of gear she had kept. The memory replacer weapon of Lotus.
....Maybe Elizabeth Marshal couldn't have peace, but as someone else, maybe she might. But she still wasn't sure.
